We use InDesign in the marketing department to build high-level marketing packages for social media, brochures, logos, and email flyers. The control of text elements and images is key to the finished product, and there is no other product on the market that makes our work easy and possible.

Some of my issues with the software include that fact that complex data must be handled in a different program, the table design is much too complicated, and while the program competency is easy, but mastery is difficult.

InDesign has filled the hole of our designing in our marketing department. Before this software, we had roughly put together flyers and marketing packages that looked like they were made in publisher. Now the document designs that our team pushes out are elegant and comprehensive.

Adobe InDesign is spectacular for creating your own book, magazine, pamphlet. The only limits are your imagination. This is a simple to use design program for someone in the media field, or even a beginner interested in learning to design layouts for all the above.

Once again, Adobe nailed it. There isn't a thing I would change. Like I said, Adobe keeps all their programs in mind for beginners with the intricacies a professional desires.

Adobe InDesign allowed me to create my cookbook without limiting myself to silly templates that a lot of similar web services offer. I am able to encapture me.

This tool is very comprehensive. There are so many ways to automate, share work and create many kinds of documents and books. I enjoy the ability to use styles to easily format the documents. I also like how easily it integrates with the other Adobe Creative Cloud applications. I think that it is helpful to have several of the applications as support for this app, but there is truly so much you can do with it on its own.

The cost , but it is a very great software. I also don't like that there are very few places to get 'hands-on' training for this application. Many community colleges offer continuing education style courses for Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and other Adobe applications, but it seems the only way to get educated on InDesign is from online tutorials or expensive workshops in faraway cities. I think that there needs to be more localized training for people to learn how to make the most of this expensive yet expansive tool.

I am able to create brand documents and books and share assets with co-workers. I have found reduced frustration in creating print ready professional looking documents for commercial printers and online sharing.

This application was very powerful and versatile, which made it the right choice for a wide variety of projects across several forms of media. Plus it is similar to the other adobe suite applications.

It is somewhat complicated to get started with and has a steep learning curve so you have to put in a lot of leg work up front before it really becomes useful to you.

I used InDesign to create several multi media pieces such as programs, social media posts, pocket schedules. The tools made it easy to make each project to the exact specifications I was looking for.

Once you get the hang of the program, its ease of use is excellent. And it InDesign can convert to PDF or epub, coding your project in HTML automatically for you!

I don't love the learning curve that it takes to become proficient in the program. I know that it's a very powerful tool, but you don't know what you don't know and I wish to bridge that gap.

I am solving the problem of unorganized menus for the company I work for. Indesign allows for an easier workflow to update the menus with quick changes that doesn't create more work to adjust formatting.

I like how easy it is to set up documents and items ready for print. The shortcuts are similar to other Adobe products which also helps. It's the first Adobe product I learned and it was the easiest.

I wish there were more templates to use. Otherwise, I don't really have any dislikes.

It's perfect for flyers, banners, brochures, and business cards, all which we regularly need. It integrates well with other Adobe products as needed, too!

I have had problems in the past with having to relink fonts. I am not sure if it is a bug that has been worked out in the newer 2022 version that I have since been using. Also, it would be nice to have it automatically update all files that are in older versions.

I am able to create beautiful and unique graphics. I can easily match colors using the eyedropper tool and I love the object effects and ability to remove backgrounds (or change them) easily. With InDesign, I can create graphics that are unique to only me.
