I like that BuiltWith generally is more accurate than the competitive tools that I have used in my technology searches.

I dislike that there is no indication as to how much a company is spending on the technologies as it just shows what tech they use.

BuiltWith allows me to research companies with a click of a button rather than spending time on the web hunting down technology information.

It provides apt data based on the technologies used by the company

Other details of company like location headcount are sometimes not accurate

It has really assisted are Inside sales teams identify what E-commerce platform are prospects are utilizing. (Both Magento & Shopify are really big to us) Very useful

It's almost too easy to use and provides so much information with a simple click of the plug in. Almost always is correct.

Rarely this tool is inaccurate or misses tags.

Helps me identify the platforms that my clients are using so I can request the appropriate log in credentials since they rarely know what their site is running on. Makes communications much easier. Also I can see what tagging or markup they may have from previous versions of site development tools to help clean up their code.

Since I do a ton of prospecting, Builtwith helps me open up conversations and identify worth while accounts of targeting. A lot of the time, tech stacks are hidden which makes it really hard to reach out to companies who might have an actual need for Datadog.

I dislike that some times the information is inaccurate.

I am trying to appropriately outreach to companies who are hosted in the cloud. To do this I need to have an understanding of what their tech stack is and what their company is built on so I can appropriately reach out for the right reason.

It gives me a full breakdown of all the ins and outs of a page I'm searching for.

It isn't as descriptive as I'd like it to be. I wish it gave more of a breakdown.

Builtwith is an accurate tool for lead generation as it helps you to know correctly about what your prospect companies are using. It makes easier for you to target your prospect with better knowledge about them.

Builtwith could be better if it does not collapse as it sometimes does. Plus, it could be more cost effective so that more companies could use it to enhance their business growth.

It is helping me to accurately mine data about my target companies. It is a powerful tool. I can give more detailed information about the prospect which further helps in business growth directly or indirectly.

BuiltWith provides extremely critical information for your prospects and clients. It helps in Competitive Analysis, Monitoring, Business Intelligence, Lead Generation and Nurturing. Being a plug-in it is as simple as a click-and-function tool. The information provided along with paid or unpaid subscriptions of the entire tech stack of an enterprise helps us evaluate our outreach in a more personalized manner. The data gets updated almost immediately so while demoing or POC to a client, we get to know what all other options are being considered, helping us propose a valuable offer to them. It adds details under Tech, Detailed, Meta, Relationship, and Redirects.

Some of the details like company address, employees under Meta tab, like Contact Information etc are not updated and can be checked and populated correctly. Also website information may not be accurate for some websites.
