Affiliate disclosure & advertising policy
Last updated: April 2026
Findstack believes buyers deserve to know exactly how the sites they rely on make money. This page explains our commercial relationships, how they affect the content you see, and the boundaries we set to keep rankings and reviews honest.
It is written to align with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), the UK Competition and Markets Authority's guidance on hidden advertising, and Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines for affiliate content.
How Findstack earns revenue
Findstack is a bootstrapped, independent business. It is funded primarily through the following sources:
- Affiliate commissions. When you click certain links on Findstack and go on to purchase, start a trial, or sign up for a product, we may earn a commission from the vendor. This comes at no additional cost to you and does not change the price you pay.
- Sponsored deals and placements. Vendors may pay to appear in our Deals section or to be featured in clearly labeled sponsored placements. Sponsored content is visually distinguished from editorial content wherever it appears.
- Premium listings. Verified vendors can pay to enhance their product profile — for example, with additional media, case studies, or direct contact options. A premium listing does not affect rating, ranking, or inclusion in editorial content.
We do not sell reviews, we do not accept payment to remove negative content, and we do not run pay‑to‑play category rankings.
Affiliate relationships in detail
Some links on Findstack are affiliate links. When we link to a product we may receive a commission if you click the link and subsequently purchase, subscribe to, or sign up for that product. Affiliate partnerships are operated either directly with vendors or through third‑party affiliate networks such as Impact, PartnerStack, CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, and Rewardful.
Affiliate relationships never determine:
- Whether a product is included on Findstack.
- Its rating, score, or category ranking.
- Its inclusion in editorial "best of" lists or category guides.
- The contents of reviews, comparisons, or articles.
We routinely list and recommend products with which we have no affiliate relationship. When two products are functionally comparable and only one has an affiliate program, we still recommend the better product for the buyer.
Sponsored content
Sponsored placements on Findstack — including featured deal listings, banner ads, and any editorial content produced in partnership with a vendor — are clearly labeled as Sponsored, Promoted, or In partnership with. Sponsored content is produced separately from editorial content and is never allowed to masquerade as an independent recommendation.
Editorial independence
Findstack is a small, founder‑led operation. Product profiles and category pages are built from structured data, while long‑form articles, category guides, and glossary entries are written by named contributors and the founder, with each post credited to a specific author. No vendor — including our affiliate partners — is permitted to review or approve editorial content before publication, and no vendor sees our category ranking logic before the ranking is published.
Where a contributor has a prior commercial relationship with a product they are writing about, that relationship is disclosed on the page. For the full description of how we research, rank, and review software, see our methodology.
Your data and privacy
Clicking an affiliate link may result in a cookie being dropped by the vendor or affiliate network so they can attribute your eventual purchase to Findstack. These cookies do not contain personally identifying information, and you are not required to click an affiliate link to use the site. For full details on what data we collect, see our privacy policy.
Reader trust
Disclosure only matters if readers can act on it. If you suspect that a recommendation on Findstack is biased, incorrect, or fails to meet the standards described here, please contact us. We investigate every concern raised and publish corrections when warranted.
