Nofollow

TL;DR: Nofollow is an HTML attribute used in links to instruct search engines not to follow the link for indexing purposes, essentially telling them to ignore the link in their ranking algorithms. It helps webmasters prevent the transfer of link equity to other sites.

Nofollow links are types of website links that are ignored by search engines as they didn’t pass the qualification of Google PageRank. They have an attribute of rel=” nofollow” tag. They look like regular links in the eyes of humans, but they are different for search engine bots. Most nofollow links are usually from blog comments, forums, and social media posts.
