Promotes student engagement Easy to use Selection of quizzes aligned to Texas TEKS
Nothing so far. It is simple, but I actually like that because it makes it easy to use. It would be good if there were more quizzes in Spanish in the library, especially for Science and Language Arts.
Plan engaging activities for my students. Incorporate technology in my classroom. Formative assessments.
I love that I can create my own quizzes or search for quizzes made by other users. This site gives instant feedback for student understanding and kids have a lot of fun. They love that they get more points for getting a question correct, and it brings out their competitiveness.
There is nothing big that I dislike about Kahoot! It is easy to use and search for quizzes, but I guess one downside is that sometimes the answers to the quizzes made by other users are incorrect, so that affects the scores of the students. Another downside is that if I want to go over a problem because I noticed that many students had an incorrect answer, I can't see the problem/question after the answer is revealed.
Kahoot! makes it so simple to check for student understanding and going over misconceptions as they happen. Teachers get immediate results and can address any problems students may have. Students see this as a game, so they always have fun when playing, and they think of playing as a reward (even though they are actually learning and practicing the concepts learned in class).
When reviewing content, I use Kahoot to get the kids in a friendly competiton where I receive benchmark data from ALL kids and not just those who raise their hands
The data presented is a bit clunky at times. I wish I could open it within the browser va downloading all scores
After using Kahoot for 2-3 years I have had 0 issues with the site going down.
I love this site for quick review and fun competition.
I wish there were a math equation software available to use to write problems.
Kids love competition.
This is a great tool that students enjoy because it allows them to use their phones or wireless devices while being competitive.
I wish I could add my own music to play for the questions
I'm able to collect data from my team with fun surveys
Kahoot is a user friendly software that allows educators to create or search for review games/quizzes for all subjects and ability levels. I have used this in the high school and middle school math classroom to collect data, review for tests, and involve my students in their learning. Students are always actively engaged when playing kahoot and get very competitive. It motivates them to complete math problems correctly.
I would love to see Kahoot extend their time limits beyond 120 seconds. It's not always easy to limit students with math disabilities to 2 minutes for processing and answering a question. It limits me to what type of questions I can use.
It's a quick and easy way to collect student data. I can go back and open up data from previous games and see how each student did individually. This allows me to record growth and target instruction for students.
I like the quick assessment to see if students understand what you taught. It is highly motivating when it is timed.
It limits the amount of characters you can write.
It helps me see if the material was understood or needs to be retainer It is quick and does not take much planning.
Kahoot is a fun way to review material and create competition.
I wish it had more grading options and easier ways to create new kahoots
Easy and cheap way to make education fun.
I love their innovative and colorful platform. Kahoot! is valuable because it merges education and communication with fun through a digital platform. I enjoy using it and so do my students.
There are some limitations in game creation that feel like road blocks. I think they should create more freedom for the user to build their own Kahoot! Interactive experience online.
Kahoot! was a fun way to conduct assesment without the students getting survey fatigue. We were being advised to gain more assesment data for our programs and usage of space. Instead of drowning the students in rate 1-10 surveys we had fun playing games I had created with intention.
I like that I can give a quiz to a bunch of students and collect data at the same time.
I wish that more students could use Kahoot at the same time.
Easy easy easy data collection!
