I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO ANY STUDENT BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY GOUD RESOURCE TO USE WHEN STUDYING, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE IN CLASS AND YOUR ARE BEING TESTED ON YOUR WORK BY YOUR TEACHER
ANYONE CAN JOIN SOME GROUPS WITH A DIFFERENT NAME MAKING THEM ANONYMOUS
A LOT OF PROBLEMS, SUCH AS IF I WANT TO SEE WHAT OTHER PEOPLES REVIEW MIGHT BE.
Mahout combines the ability to review information with an engaging competition that students enjoy.
I do not really have any particular dislikes, however, students do get bored with Kahoot if overused, maybe more game options could be offered.
Lagoon helps me to save time and create engaging review activities for students. I not longer have to spend hours working on a PowerPoint for review or finding just the right website for other review games. Kahoots are also easily attached to study guides giving students easy access even at home.
These are great to use with all your classes! They allow you to create a quiz or browse existing quizzes and play them with your class. It is really useful as you can set time limits, insert images to help with answers or support questions. All questions are multiple choice and students have to choose between 4 colours/ shapes for their correct answer. My students love the fact it shows them their scores and a leaderboard as they play along! This really gets them competitive.
It is sometimes quite hard for students to read the questions as they just display on the board. It would also be useful to have a setting so that questions could also be displayed on their screen. This means students who are start away from the board will also be able to read the questions. You used to be able to click the question and the answers would display. At the moment their is a pause between the question and the answers displaying.
I am able to complete my assessment for learning with the whole class at ease. It saves me time as I can browse the pre-created quizzes by other schools and select one of these to use. It also gives me data which I then can analyse or save as an Excel spreadseet at the end of the quiz so I can refer back to it or implement it within my grading books.
Kahoot works great for students of all ages. My first graders love using it and really enjoy working together in a game like competition
I wish there was an option for the answers to also show up on the screen when students are playing a game.
Reviewing for quizzes and tests are so much more fun
Kahoot is an outstanding quiz solution intended for the education of students, and the program simplifies gamification teaching. There are four kinds of tasks, such as quiz, debate, survey, and jumbo (choose in a particular order four responses). Participants need to enter a PIN and nickname to join a game using Kahoot, that is a convenient solution. You could construct your own quizzes or use prepared ones, as Kahoot provides users with an extensive repostiory. The most important benefit is that you do not need to provide private data so that you do not have to worry about the personal details policy.
Unluckily, there's no option to implement various kinds of quizzes into one presentation, so you have to design separated slideshows to connect quizz + jumbo. Besides, there's no auto-save option, so in case of crashing the platform presentation is gone.
Kahoot allows me to gamify my students so that they acquire the information faster and their results have significantly improved.
I enjoy being able to create a quiz easily and make a fun activity for my students. It is also easy to navigate and use quizzes created by other users.
Sometimes creating a quiz can feel a little painstaking.
You can create a easy way to see what information your students are retaining almost instantly. You can then use the data from the results to go over any areas that students may need a refresher.
The ease of the site, the whimsical nature of the trivia or quiz, the fact that students are learning, reading, and comprehending and really have no idea because it is fun!
Sometimes the compatibility with videos for the questions is rough. Also, sometimes the site will kick kids out mid game and they cannot finish with the rest of the class.
Reading comprehension, thoughtfulness, thinking speed
Great online platform that doesn’t require installment or additional add ones on a computer and it’s easy access to be used in a phone , Laptop or tablet. Modifying the questions by adding pictures or charts is a big factor when educating students because they need visualization. It’s also a friendly competition game that inspires children to achieve certain number of questions correct in order to be rewarded
A downside of using this platform is that it requires internet . Also keeping track of students individually when answering questions can be hard over time.
Teaching students how to memorize important facts as they prepare for weekly tests
The ease of creating the quizzes. The animation that even community college students enjoy..
Can not create "multiple answer" questions. Also the limit of characters
I am able to use this to present new concepts to students in a manner other than traditional lecture. It provides an opportunity for students to be engaged and work in groups. I can test students informally and fill in required information in a fun manner.
This is a fun way to learn! Plus you can create your own quizzes and share them with your students or staff. It is fun to do and it can be team building also. In addition, you can use a quiz that someone else already created and shared. Many, many topics and themes to the quizzes.
Sometimes the colors and shapes can get confusing. It is a neat program that works well for all kinds of students. People must download the program in order to play on their phone. Otherwise one must use their laptops to play. So there is some form of technology needed. But people can team up to play also.
It is a great team builder for during meetings. In addition it can team build for students also. The benefits is that you create a team name and then compete against other teams to complete the questions the fastest.
