Unclaimed: Are are working at Okta Workforce Identity ?
Increased security with a streamlined, virtually foolproof user experience. Native multi-factor solution integration. Corporate supported application deployment. What is not to like?
Very little to dislike with this product. To my knowledge, we have not encountered anything that did not work as advertised. Browser extension development could possibly use a little polish.
Administration of user access to company provisioned applications is done extremely well. Not only are we more secure but by implementing SSO we have virtually eliminated the dreaded "I forgot my password" problem for those applicaitons.
It provides an easy way to ensure users have Two-Factor Authentication. It provides a tangible and easy-to-execute way of ensuring security.
[It has some] blocky/clunky aesthetics. Sometimes it feels like it requires you to update your password too often for simple input mistakes. Pricing [could be better].
We have been able to automate giving access to apps like Box and Smartsheet with ease and de-provisioning by automatically transferring data to other users.
Okta mostly uses the SAML2 authentication protocol. The Okta platform is very easy to configure and user-friendly. Integration with multiple application platforms is seamless. User management operations are easy and organized.
Pricing is on a bit higher side. More documentation for configuration and integration should be available for seamless use. Reporting functionality and logging could have been more useful.
We have multiple Drupal-based customer apps, which we have configured with Okta for SSO. It was really easy to set up, and we didn't face any major challenges while integrating the applications with Okta.
I like how easy it easy to perform deployment and integration of applications. It is quite a user friendly and offers a wide variety of features. Okta has great SSO such that I don't have to remember different logins for different sites I use.
The only disadvantage with okta is its cost, it's quite costly for personal use or a small company.
We use okta to store passwords of our various application that we use in our company, this makes it easy that one does not need to remember the passwords every time you need to log in
Okta is an exceptionally adaptable platform for managing several aspects of personality to SaaS and on-premises applications. Okta is an excessively straightforward authentication arrangement from an end client point of view. You get the chance to single sign on to the vast majority of the apps you use, and it automatically stores your credentials and logs you on once you are authenticated through their portal. We have integrated Okta with a large portion of our apps. With MFA enabled, you have to download Okta app on your telephone and accept the push to login. SaaS Model, easy to arrangement and supports the most utilized applications from an access management and catalog integration viewpoint. The UI and capabilities are light years ahead of the opposition. I have never had any personal time, login, or 2FA issues with Okta. Our clients save minutes every day, not, at this point drearily composing and re-composing their catalog password.
You have to understand Okta documentation appropriately to integrate the appropriate security implementation. There is a colossal learning bend for this software. On the off chance, that any of your password escaped synchronize with Okta it will be somewhat hard to understand how to update the password on the off chance that you are not technically knowledgeable. Beneficiary client support is quite bad. I deal with a ton of merchants and this is probably the least favorite to have to call.
Okta is a great tool for Single Sign On. The single tick choice has made it easy to stay signed in to all necessary programs. While it is easy to administer, this comes at the expense of some customizability. Backing is moderate, and costs are high.
Okta is now a name brand for Identify for most of the world's businesses. Their vast catalog of integrations and automated rulesets allows large organizations to automate the majority of their IT foundation and allow for a cloud-hosted footprint with much less overhead from a compliance and regulatory standpoint.
The pricing is a bit high, but you get what you pay for with Okta.
We no longer have any on-premises infrastructure for our corporate identity and are able to quickly scale globally with no downtime :)
I really like OCTA for its convience with signing into multiple different platforms
They really isn’t anything I dislike. I
The business problems Okta solves is security and time cost savings for
Okta implementation is easy. We launched Okta along with our transition to Google Apps, and implementation of Box, Concur, Xactly and Workday. Our password reset tickets were always our biggest call driver to the Help desk. That dropped to number 6 within 2 months.
Some app connections take more time because metadata may be defined differently by different vendors, forcing us to reach out directly to vendors. Overall, hasn't been a show stopper, just more time consuming than expected.
Password reset tickets were our biggest call driver. That means employees are losing productivity if the can't get to their tools. Okta reduced this almost immediately. Ease of use on any device from any browser has also helped our productivity. From a Help Desk perspective, we can also now work on higher value tasks instead of password resets all the time.
