One of the best image compressor plugin.
Pricing is a bit high. There are other plugins that can do the same in cheap.
I use this to reduce the image size. I can say it save a lot of space without compromising the quality.
It compresses every image I upload (even thumbnails). It converts them to webp, so website is fast. When I first installed it, I had a lot of images, so I had the option to purchase one time credits instead of a subscription model.
Nothing really. There is nothing not to like… perhaps the Robot's color could be grayer?
My website is faster. Images get compressed automatically and they have a generous free tier of 100 credits/month (you can increase it via referrals in increments of 100 credits/referral, or by 7k credits with a cheap subscription).
How easy it is to use the service and install on your website
There's very little not to like, the cost possibly leaves much to be desired but all in all it does the Job.
Website speed and image optimization
The plugin comes with free monthly credits, and it's effortless to set up and works well with many other plugins for a better-performing SEO site. If you use your monthly allotment of free credits, they have low-cost credit bundles that afford me enough for five websites, and I still am yet to run out.
This plugin is straightforward and straightforward to set up and manage; with just a couple of clicks, you are all set, and your images get bulk compressed.
I can shorten my client's website's most significant content load times and speed up the site's performance dramatically with the compression and formatting of images to the website to lazy load them and also save file space.
So I've used several different apps and plugins to help me reduce image size in the past few years and ShortPixel is the best. My favorite thing about ShortPixel would have to be how simple it is to use. It's clear-cut, anyone who knows what they're looking for is going to know that this thing is strong and quick. Their pricing plans are reasonable and if you are looking for a quick and easy to free up some site bandwidth then the Shortpixel compression is for you.
So far I've had no real qualms with the ShortPixel app. I would say that more detailed reporting for the compression would be needed but it would be purely tertiary information.
Image optimization and site speed.
After trying out many image optimizers, I found shortpixel.com provide image optimization without loosing any Quality at the best value for money. It has multiple file options which are supported.
Shortpixel WordPress plugins are easy to use, but some images load slow. I need to recheck when the plugin is updated.
I am so happy with Shortpixel; it is easy to use and has helped me optimize images on the website. Website loads much quicker than before, and I don't have to worry about optimizing manually for every image.
We purchased two ShortPixel codes for a lifetime subscription when it was featured on AppSumo. While you definitely could not beat the price, the tool itself is super easy to use and offers an API which we are taking full advantage of for our client sites using Craft. There is also a ShortPixel Wordpress plugin if you use Wordpress. ShortPixel can also optimize other file formats that some of the free compression tools we were previously using did not include.
We really have no complaints at this time, especially if you factor in the priced we paid for a lifetime subscription.
Designing and building websites is part of what we do. ShortPixel allows us quickly optimize images and once we take full advantage of the API the process will be completely hands-off and our clients can update their site imagery without worrying about file size.
I really like being able to prepay a set amount and let it run optimizing, either on the fly or in batches.
Sometimes I've had issues with their CDN service, which occasionally encounters errors with our website cache or my host's CDN.
When many separate users contribute images, they often upload massive files that serve poorly and take up a lot of space on the server. ShortPixel helps serve files that are faster and better optimized for the end-user and cuts down file size on the server. I also like that they can convert to WebP dynamically.
