What i like best about ShortPixel is the ease of use. Create an account and install the plugin on your WordPress site and you're good to go. Other compression plugins will want you to do a LOT of configurations, but ShortPixel is so simple that you spend more time on the important stuff, rather than the admin

What i dislike about ShortPixel is if you're on the free tier, you do need to manually optimize your images. Reason for this is the free tier gives you a certain number of credits that gets replenished each month. You then have to go login to your WordPress account and "optimize" your images once you get your credits.

The main problem im solving with ShortPixel is website speed. Often, i get images from unplash or pixabay. These are hi-res photos and often take up a lot of storage space/size on the server, as well as add to the loading speed of each page they are on. So far I've had no real qualms with the ShortPixel app. I would say that more detailed reporting for the compression would be needed but it would be purely tertiary information.
