It compresses every image I upload (even thumbnails). It converts them to webp, so website is fast. When I first installed it, I had a lot of images, so I had the option to purchase one time credits instead of a subscription model.
Nothing really. There is nothing not to like… perhaps the Robot's color could be grayer?
My website is faster. Images get compressed automatically and they have a generous free tier of 100 credits/month (you can increase it via referrals in increments of 100 credits/referral, or by 7k credits with a cheap subscription).
ShortPixel makes it very easy to install and begins optimizing your images almost immediately.
I don't know that I have anything to go here. ShortPixel does everything it proposes and I haven't had any issues.
As an agency, we regularly run into clients that have poorly optimized sites. Installing and running ShortPixel quickly compresses images and other files, improving page load speed very quickly.
this app came is very handy when I realized too late (after +50 blog posts) that I should have been optimizing all my photos before uploading them on the site. I was dreading this task. When I finally decided to try short pixel I couldn't believe how easy it was - and how they were able to compress all my photos in a just a click of a button. I also like that with one license you can have multiple sites.
There isn't really anything I dislike, it's been great.
compressing my photos already on my site and further compressing them when I upload photos going forward.
ShortPixel has assisted our graphics department with resizing images without additional hassle on our end. We absolutely love utilizing this tool and this has reduce the amount of other photo editing subscriptions s.
There is nothing to dislike about Shortpixel!
Resizing photos has never been easier for my colleagues! Other photo editing applications are cluttered with advance tools that our company doesn’t use.
One of the best things about Shortpixel is that it optimizes images in bulk. We recently migrated our publishing site to a new host and Shortpixel quickly and successfully optimized all the images without any extra effort on our part. Plus, our site still loads fast even with all the new images.
I don't have any complaints about Shortpixel. It does what it promises and it does it well.
Optimizing images without losing quality or website load times.
Affordable plans with occasional lifetimes credit deals and very compatible and regularly updated plugins for WordPress. Ability to create temporary API keys or sub-accounts and then assign credits to them. Also, I like the ability to optimize images stored in Google Drive by simply linking your drive account with Shortpixel, no download or upload is required from the user's side. Very convenient service.
There isn't much to dislike with this service, as most of the core features work pretty well. Although I would appreciate the ability to optimize multiple images simultaneously when bulk optimizing images in a WordPress website.
I am severely decreasing the file size of images on my websites, which helps in increasing the website speed. Also, the free CDN integration which comes with the plan is appreciated.
It compresses image sizes well and helps them load faster. I like that it will automatically compress images on your website.
I only dislike that I can't pick the order of images to compress, although I really don't have room to complain since we use the free version.
I don't have to take time to compress photos manually when I add them to the website. ShortPixel will automatically do it for us.
I personally like the glossy image compression option which i used on my site. I reduce image loading time and speed up my website loading speed.
I found nothing to dislike till now. Just prices should be reasonable for the upgrade.
I can see image loading speed reduced after using this tool. I am happy with the image quality seen on the website also. I will surely recommend it to everyone.
It's very intuitive to use. Other offerings are more complicated to get around.
The credit system. It would be nice if there were an option to get more credits straight from WordPress.
Our website is slow. Using ShortPixel helps to alleviate some of the issues with speed.
It processes all uploaded images automatically without losing any quality.
I'd prefer if they could release an Android/IOS app for our day-to-day compression needs.
It completely mitigates the need for manually optimizing images before adding them to our webpage.
We purchased two ShortPixel codes for a lifetime subscription when it was featured on AppSumo. While you definitely could not beat the price, the tool itself is super easy to use and offers an API which we are taking full advantage of for our client sites using Craft. There is also a ShortPixel Wordpress plugin if you use Wordpress. ShortPixel can also optimize other file formats that some of the free compression tools we were previously using did not include.
We really have no complaints at this time, especially if you factor in the priced we paid for a lifetime subscription.
Designing and building websites is part of what we do. ShortPixel allows us quickly optimize images and once we take full advantage of the API the process will be completely hands-off and our clients can update their site imagery without worrying about file size.
Generous free limit to compress up to 50 images.
Nothing as of now. I'd like to explore their other offerings like CDN etc.
image optimisation
It is very easy to set up and does a really good job for SEO purposes.
There isn't much I dislike but It is annoying that you only get a certain number of credits in the free version.
It is great for compressing images to a reasonable size.
Shortpixel is a reliable, easy to use, and scalable solution.
I liked it because it was very plug-and-play, but that comes with limited customizability.
This helped with image optimization for my SEO efforts.
ShortPixel image optimizer offers a solid service with an intuitive workflow. It's extremely simple to install and helps solving all images.
Backups can take up space on your server, especially if the plug-in's removed.
Compress images without compromising on quality.
It is very easy to use and helps optimize my site so that I easily rank higher. It's literally a 2 step process that forever makes my website better.
Their pricing model is based on number of photos, but each picture has many smaller pictures that your website makes automatically. This ends up using a lot of credits. So just plan accordingly.
It helps me optimize my website to rank higher on Google.
The tool is easy to use and does the job
Webp is not supported in older version of safari
We realized at one point that the images on one of our site wasn't getting optimzed at all. We had to contact them and they have fixed it for us. But eventually since we realized the url wrapping around the images effects seo slightly we have stopped using the service.
I can easily compress many images with high compression rate, and the developer-friendly API. Sub account feature is nice for agency.
The ShortPixel Adaptive Images plugin with their CDN needs some optimizations.
No need to optimize many images by myself before uploading them to Web site.
shortpixel is amazing, they do what they do and they do it well and the CDN is Bunny Witchi, which is my favorite CDN, so how can I ask for anything more? This my must-have wp plugin with every website I setup.
I think the UI could improve, but ultimately functionality is key. It's currently working well and improving over time. So keep up the amazing work. I think I had one issue in the past few years and the support team got back to me and sorted it all out in under a few hours.
They improve my image optimization, decrease server load, and resize all my images. Image optimization is no longer a concern for me. I can't even imagine running a website without ShortPixel.
It only takes a couple of steps to add it to your site.
It can be a little pricy if you manage a bunch of sites, but it's perfect for single sites.
Helps to compress all images we upload so they can load faster on the front end.
