ThriveCart is by far the easiest standalone cart platform to roll out. Within minutes you can have a fully functioning cart for subscription products including payment integrations, landing pages, and key features like upsells and bump offers.
While the subscription offering is powerful, it does have some quirky things that I think should be addressed. Primarily, with subscription services, you can't change the price on existing subscriptions and have it noted on the client's invoice. Those changes have to be done in your payment processor.
We use ThriveCart to manage subscriptions for our website clients. We've saved a lot of time by utilizing ThriveCart's simple setup and reporting features to let us know how we're doing.
Thrive cart has ALL the features you need in a shopping cart. It does landing pages, pop ups, embeds. It processes everything smoothly without any hiccups and best of all it makes my life easier. Before I had Thrive Cart I had to use awkward forms, that never really fit with my page, or I had to send my users offsite to process payments. With Thrive Cart everything is now "in house" and my users feel much better about buying from me. Get it, you won't be dissapointed.
Sometimes I would rather change the colors of backgrounds on the standard landing page, but that's ok, because I can just embed it if I want to do that.
This allows me to solve the problem of collecting payments for my digital products. Before Thrive Cart, I had to say send my users "off site" to process my payment. Now I can keep them on site, and it makes me look REALLY good and professional.
All available options, integrations and affiliates.
Limitations when using the account multiple users
General sale of products offering different payment options
The fact that I can easily set up upsells and downsells is a HUGE reason why I like ThriveCart. It's super easy to set up and works well on my landing page software (Leadpages).
I haven't quite figured out how to set it up with my membership plugin on my Wordpress site, but that might be due to my lack of great technical skills. I do plan on asking my tech guy to figure it out for me. Right now, I use ThriveCart for all other purchases except for my membership, and I'm super happy with it.
I'm making more money because of the upsells.
ThriveCart offers you a great shopping cart solution that includes options for upsells and downsells, along with a robust affiliate management system that makes it easy to manage all aspects of an affliate program.
This might be "a little" specific but ThriveCart's Drip integration only allows you to add a single Drip account. That's disappointing. I realize that there's an option for adding an HTML form but that's a little limiting, so I use Zapier, which is great but I don't think I should have to.
ThriveCart offers a combination of features that I haven't found in other shopping cart solutions. From bump offers and multiple upsell/downsell options to a wide range of integrations and affiliate management, it offers value that's well in excess of its price. They have also introduced many new features over the years to keep ahead of competing solutions.
It's not only very affordable, but it's extremely easy to use and has all the bells and whistles that other, higher-priced suites offer.
I honestly can't think of anything. I have used this software for several years and have never encountered a glitch or had to reach out to customer support.
I love the fact that I can integrate this with any payment processor and that it makes it easy and convenient to generate a link for my customers to pay me.
I bought ThriveCart 2 years ago because I needed a professional check-out cart for services/digital products and the selling point was truly their one-time fee. I really like how it's so easy to set up once I get through everything, and it's very much a step-by-step process. I needed it to charge in different currencies and ThriveCart connected to Stripe and Paypal with no issues. My checkout page is now a beautiful page I've loaded with testimonials and a very easy input process for the customer.
Their "big" update has been due months ago and it's March 2023 at the time of this review and there's still no word. They also don't exactly update their users about new features despite having "We have many new features planned" on their website... I've been using ThriveCart for more than 2 years and I've never gotten updated. I've been waiting for them to add the ability to add more than one bump offer to the checkout page. Also, I wish the button that a customer clicks to buy an upsell can be duplicated a few times on the upsell page without interrupting the loading of a page... a few customers have been stuck on the upsell page which cost me sales. I also really dislike how prices are presented... the section where it says "Total payment" is of a small font size in grey which cannot be adjusted, and it says "All prices in USD" in incredibly tiny text. As I sell internationally, I want to remind people that they are paying in USD, so just stating the price as "US$47" would be great. When I have split payments or 3-mth subscriptions, it allows a customer to hover over the "Future payments" area and totals up their payments. I really would rather not have that, no one wants to be reminded of how much more they are actually paying over the months. I would rather have the text be "3 Monthly Payments of $47" and then the main text be something like "TODAY'S PAYMENT: $47" and "Then 2 additional monthly payments of $47" in smaller font size.
It's providing me with a robust, sleek, professional and beautiful checkout page that collects payments in Google Pay, Stripe and Paypal, while connecting my new customers to ConvertKit and Thrive Themes Apprentice. The process has been a smooth transition, which I appreciate, just some coding errors that cause customers to be stuck at the upsell.
I like that it's easy to build professional check out pages with!
I wish thrive cart learn would have more design options like Kajabi.
It helps me accept payments for my services.
It is easy to create a beautiful sales page and connect it everywhere I want. It integrates with everything and the support team is awsome. And the new Learn platform inside Thrivecart is the best thing for my courses and programs. I'm very happy with Thrivecart. It is by far the best investment I ever did.
There is nothing I dislike in Thrivecart. Everything works very well.
With Thrivecart I don't need Woocommerce and its thousands plugins to sell my products on my WordPress site. And I don't need a platform for my school, I have my courses inside ThriveCart.
ThriveCart helps to take payment from customers who want to sign up for my course. I can accept payments from webinars and sales pages. It allows for sales tax calculation, ensuring I don't have to work out the maths. I like how I can connect ThriveCart to both my email provider and course platform. It is great to have different options for cart such as video, two-step, modal and embeddable cart. The ability to send automatic receipts and have secure urls is good.
I would prefer to be able to apply more customization options to the Cart appearance so it matches more my brand and personality.
Being able to sell a course from a webinar or sales page then having the customer who purchased the course be automatically connected with the course platform without having to do anything on the backend of the system.
I like that is very useful for marketing strategies. You can configure your cart, product, or service fast and easily. In most cases, you don't need to know web design to have good carts and conversion results. I also like all the integrations that they have that allow you to sell digital products, physical books, magazines or products. Even you can use it with your member site or WordPress platform. You can use your own subdomain to give more professionalism to the cart. And you can create and manage affiliates so they promote your product/service and Thrivecart will take care of payments. Also, they release a huge upgrade recently to include an academy inside the cart and sell courses directly from it.
Sometimes the design area gets stuck and doesn't allow to put the text. Would be great to have folders for the images you upload in order to organize them into categories of use. This will be useful too for the products, if you have too many of them can be a little hard to find them.
I am solving not having an optimized conversion landing page and cart for my ad campaigns. Also, since I don't have much time to design or configure the technology, Thrivecart allows me to have a functional cart up and running in no time.
I wasn't part of the initial setup of ThriveCart for our business, but I was their while we were transitioning to it from another check out system. I found that thrivecart as a platform in general was super user friendly and easy to navigate. It's very clear (in comparsion to what we were using before) what kind of functions could be found where. They made it really easy right from the start! I'll also say that the support that ThriveCar toffers is excellent. They sometimes take a day or two to respond, but they have a very active Facebook community which is a great resource when troubleshooting. Something I have noticed recently is that ThriveCart is constantly thinking about ways to upgrade their product, and their exsisting customers always get to beenfit these updates. It makes me excited for whats next for the business.
There are only a couple of some technology/convenience things that I dislike about it. One example is when you clear your search, it automatically reverts to purchases from today, and occasionally the dashboard graphics are slow to populate. Still, I think this is to be accepted. There is also a limit to how many transactions you can download, which can be frustrating sometimes.
We use this for our checkout system, and the main problem we are solving is being able to look at all the data at one time. The dashboard makes it super easy to report and looks at specific infromation. It also works with both Stripe and Paypal, which is fantastic for our business.
It is so easy to setup a sales page or funnel, checkout and bump order with this software. They have a build in "page builder" with all the necessary components and you can simply duplicate your products to create new similar funnels.
It would be great if you could brand the initial emails instead of having them be sent from "ThriveCart".
I was able to move away from WooCommerce and Cartflows, and focus on the products and their sales pages instead of all the tech bugginess and updates. We create the main product for a client and duplicate it to offer similar services. Coupons are easy to create and apply right inside the system, and we can even embed the whole funnel and checkout page on our website, so it is entirely on-brand. The affiliate system is built-in with Pro and is easy to set up links and payouts. The ThriveCart team is continuously making updates to better the product and maximize its usefulness. Their support is also quick and helpful. On top of all this, they recently released Learn+, which is their build-in LMS! And it integrates with the Sales pages and checkout/payment system, along with email marketing and other integrations that help you interact with the user/member throughout the whole process. How quickly I can create products and deploy them to my website. It's intuitive, fast and it works right out of the box. I also LOVE the reporting capability of the software. It makes it easy to get a a grasp of my business at a glance. With less than three clicks, I can know exactly how much money I made in the month-to-date, or in the previous month.
I'd really like to be able to customize my checkout page a bit more than ThriveCart currently allows. But it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make given the speed at which I can deploy and how good it already looks. I'd also love it if ThriveCart made it easy to implement Brian Moran's One-Page Funnel strategy, which is currently not possible given the checkout options.
Checking out customers and getting revenue reports.
Thirvecart is an incredibly easy-to-use and sophisticated payment processor. I really like its powerful sales funnel feature, by using it we can create a complete modern sales funnel with bump offers, multiple one-time offers with the auto-affiliate promoting options enabled, so almost anyone can promote our product as an affiliate. I also like the product creation tab where I can label a product with a different name for internal use. it also has robust payment options, from one-time payment to trial to subscription to pay what you want. and integrate with any major email service provider like Convertkit, ActiveCampaign, etc, and tag buyers based on their behaviors. So powerful.
Don't have the option to sell multiple copies of our digital product to the team. for example- if I want to give my buyer the option to get my courses for the team, and when my buyer selects that option, I can not display a cart that atomically shows 2 users and allow my buyer to increase the number to match the number in their team and once selected (let's 3 copy) then take the three email and. send invite. Also, I can not use my site page to design ThriveCart upsell landing page, which limits me in the aesthetic part of the landing page. That's why I gave it 9 stars only instead of 10.
I've created a complete sales funnel using thrivecart, which I use to sell ebooks on my site. I have sold more than a thousand copies of my books and thrivecart makes all the process a whole lot easy.
Intuitive and well organized. The software guides you from one step to the next until you are done. By the time you have set up a few products you get a good feel of what the software is capable of.
There are a few glitches or bugs when designing invoices or receipts.
I have been forced (in a good way) to think about how my customers see my products as a complete set and as individual products. For example, before Thrivecart, I had 10 different physical products in my web store. Now I have 3 main products (with upsells and downsells).
Unlimited checkout Pages Unlimited Products Affiliate System without additional Fees Lot of Integrations Global Speed
More options of global payment processors currently are Paypal, Stripe, and Authorize.net Options to add more custom domains inside the same account Dynamic Pages with Smart Geolocation to adapt the best local currency and fees
Seamlessly integrated with the tools that I'm using, there's no bureaucracy in submitting your products for approval. You are the owner, and you are in control Fair Business Model and Great Support
When I started using this program in 2017, it was a great tool for selling online programs, app subscriptions, and/or music. It even has a Kunaki integration that will burn a CD and have it shipped if they pay you. Now, the program really shines in two areas. One is the Cart Editor. This allows you to make a cart with several options, upsells and downsells, a custom countdown timer, videos, and it all stands on its own landing page. While not complex, this does allow you to follow marketing triggers to build a solid cart. The other area would be its integrations. We currently use Active Campaign to run our learning management software. This allows for purchase to delivery with no issues and no hands-on needed. Integrations include several payors (such as Stripe, PayPal, and Apple Pay). There are also integrations for your pixels and Google Tags. This gives you some great metrics.
The limitations with this program are in lack of multi-purchase options. If you want to sell access to a single program with up to 5 payment options, that is fine. If you want to replace your website cart where they can make several purchases and payout in the end...it simply won't do that. It's functional to sell single products and bundles. However, it lacks the ability to buy several items with one purchase point. Additionally, while the reporting is good, getting the right metrics may require you to export a list and manipulate it in an outside excel or spreadsheet program to actually capture the info you want. Great for identifying who bought at what date, but not so good for getting to some of the non-integrated info.
The hands-off benefit has been huge for us. Knowing that we can build a sales cart landing page and have the system provide access to our product with us just checking occasionally to make sure the product was delivered is fantastic. Additionally, the use of both landing page carts and embedded carts gives us options to test different methods to drive sales. Testing the two helps us to know if a certain product is better if they click away from a video or if it is better on the same page.
I purchased ThriveCart for a one-time fee and I was skeptical at first due to it being so affordable compared to the other shopping cart options out there. It has beyond exceeded my expectations. The user interface is easy and intuitive, the layout makes for flexibility and a great customer experience. The options for payment processors, upsells, downsells, bumps... they are easy and effective. After implementing Thrivecart I saw my conversions increase 2000% (was using woocommerce at the time)
I would like to see a better Facebook pixel tracking integration, it's difficult to 100% accurately track sales, upsells, bumps, etc. I do not like that the invoice has a download purchase button that I haven't been able to remove.
I was struggling with creating a streamlined, user friendly check out experience with upsell and bump options and ThriveCart offers it. It's professional looking and it works. There's flexibility with design, but it doesn't overcomplicate the design process.
