Atom is one of the best free text editors. It supports almost all programming languages. It is available at no cost to the developers; hence, it benefits them financially. Its auto-complete feature is one of the best among all the text editors I have used.

It takes a little longer than other text editors to boot. When working on large projects, it feels a bit laggy to use. It does not have a lot of plugins available.

I primarily use Atom as a text editor for Python language. As it is a free IDE, it benefits financially. Also, due to its excellent auto-completion feature, it has increased by efficiency very much.

Atom allows me to customize many aspects of the text editor. It allows me to change the design and add plugins that add many new features to the program. The editor can meet just about anybody's needs.

Sometimes the text editor will have a lag spike. Atom will run on most budget computers but the very low-end budget laptops will experience some lag while using the editor. If they could possibly make it any more light-weight, it would be the absolute best text editor.

Atom has helped me write documents easier and for free. Some benefits of using Atom is not having to pay a price to use the editor, being able to add many modifications to the program, and having awesome auto-fill system and great color coding.

It is developed by GitHub, so you can easily publish your code into GitHub. we can install third-party packages to customize its features and looks. It is a great selection for a data science project, good consistency for R and Python programming languages.it also support other languages like Java, JavaScript, JSON, SQL. Atom has default packages to syntax highlighting for these languages, you no need to install any other package. It has an active huge community, so if you have any dought and issue you can simply post it to the community and you will get a quick response. I is best for small and mediam size projects.

I could not found it very suitable for large and dynamic projects. I feel it is little slowler than other text editors.

I develop a business solution for Data analysis.there are several financial reports which needs to be published every week. changes are very frequent in these reports to make several changes into these files was very for me. I wrote my complete code in Atom. it is very easy to navigate to project hierarchy and management. also very easy to execute different report directly from Atom.

It's open source, you do not have to be paying for use licenses. The visual aspect is excellent and you can install themes and plugins that increase the functionality of this code editor. The start of the application is very slow, especially if you have many plugins installed. If you install Atom for the first time you will realize that it lacks many functions and you are forced to download plugins to increase its functionality but once you have done that you will realize that it is a very powerful editor and I would dare to say that it is the best I have used.

In my work, it is a code editor that should not be missing. The cost savings for licenses is immense since this program is free. It is very simple to use and one of the best on the market.

Atom is a great open source editor and as it is open source, Atom has a large community behind it and has managed to accumulate a large number of addons that make the work much easier for the programmers when they are creating code, helping to increase the productivity

The bad thing about atom is that it consumes a lot of RAM, and if it is used for a long time the consumption can become excessive, this also happens if many addons are activated at one time

Although it can consume a lot of RAM, it does not become as much RAM as in other editors, which is an advantage if you work with old computers, its different characteristics and features make it much easier to develop, for example, it has versioning management, autocompletion in different languages, restful and useful client to test the development of APIs or support for different frameworks. If you plan to use it in he business environment it can help you to increase productivity since the development will be faster than if you use simple text editors and the cost will be reduced since the consumption of Atom resources is much less compared to other code editors

Atom's extremely customizable, there's not a single aspect that you can't tune to your liking.

I use Atom daily for development, and git operations like merging or partial commits.

It has got a range of themes and plugins for its users. Its color-coded syntax feature is very well optimized. It integrated well with Github and Gitlabs. It works the best with the Python programming language.

It does not have well optimized AI-powered auto-suggestions feature. It is not much compatible with the Javascript programming language. It is a bit complicated to add on some plugins.

Atom is an awesome free IDE that I primarily use when I need to make small changes to my already written code. It takes no time to boot up which helps me save a lot of time when editing the code. Last but not least, it is available free of cost to the user (benefiting the user financially).

It contains a lot of themes which makes its UI look good. It offers a lot of free plugins. It offers an excellent remote collaboration feature which has helped me a lot in lockdown times. It offers good integration with GIT.

Being a free IDE, it cannot offer as many features as a paid IDE, like its auto-completion feature is not fully optimized to work according to your behavior. It also does not have some self-correct features for some lint errors. It does not work very well with Python and PHP.

The first benefit of using Atom is that it is available at no cost to the user. It has a lot of plugins and shortcuts to ease your work by increasing your efficiency manifolds. I primarily use it for Java and sometimes for HTML coding too.
