I'm brand new to the SaaS community space, and honestly, Tribe was the right decision. I looked at some competitors that offered similar things, but at 2x the cost. I couldn't believe how incredible Tribe for the value.
I like that right when I'm about to say "Hmm..I wish they had this feature", the product team releases a video showcasing that they are literally ACTIVELY creating that feature. It's like they know what I'm thinking before I even think it.
Tribe is helping bringing a sense of community to the wonderful users of Proposify. It allows me to connect with our customers on a deeper level and find out what makes them successful, while being able to drive that sense of unity home all at once.
I love the user interface, the simplicity of use, and the amazing features. They have the features you NEED to run a community. It is one of the best platforms out there for a community. I am truly in love.
Currently missing an app feature which is essential when trying to ensure people switch from a platform like Facebook to an outside community.
I'm providing a high touch, exclusive community outside the confines of social media networks and also reducing distractions while learning and providing value.
Tribe has added value to membership in our trade association, especially during a time when in-person events and meetings cannot happen. We created an Online Community on Tribe at a fraction of the cost of what competitors are charging. This Online Community allows our members to ask questions and engage with us virtually! We have received great feedback so far from our members and people love joining our Community as it is so simple to use and requires zero onboarding. In terms of customizability, Tribe offers a Community platform for the biggest tech geeks and for beginners. Whether you want to add your own code to make it your own or if you want to keep it as is and add your logo and change the colors, the platform is incredibly user friendly and easy to use! Go Tribe!
There’s really nothing not to like about Tribe!
It’s helping us connect with members during a virtual time
First of all, their success team is obsessively determined to help you succeed (as a business partner). So, big shout out for that! Apart from strong customer support, Tribe's engineering team works hand in hand to deliver any type of customization you need to help you succeed. They are constantly improving and release tons of updates on a regular frequency based on customer feedback. Here are some of the things that I liked the most: - Beautiful design with an AI-based activity feed that strikes a balance between content types and groups. - A polished gamification system. - Social widgets of the community that you can just pick and integrate into your product. That instantly adds community experience with two-way sync. - Targeting users based on certain cohorts with a targeted notification system.
I think the email digest feature needs more customizability. As far as I know, that's also work in progress.
We are using Tribe for a private community of our clients -- primarily to keep them connected to the brand and increase reachability with product collaterals and promotions. Overall, we had an amazing experience by working with such an energetic partner that not only offers a polished community platform but also supports you in growing the same. And not to forget Tribe is great value for money!
Incredibly customizable and integrates seamlessly with our branding. The support team and customer success managers are true experts at answering questions and will help you implement all kinds of useful great ideas. Here are the key pointers: - Straightforward setup and configuration - Relatively easy integration using the API - Simple functionality and easy to navigate through the admin panel - Cost effective compared to other products based on the available features - Dedicated and super responsive account managers
Some features were not working as expected at the beginning. However, the strong support team fixed the bugs in a very short time. Developing a mobile app might be something to look into.
We are happy with this product since it has helped us build a strong community of our users in a short time. This led to substantial savings in terms of reduced support cost and revenue growth via acquisition of new customers.
Tribe is a great and easy platform to make a social media. When I found tribe I was very pleased when I saw that they had a free plan because it meant that it wouldn’t cost me anything and I was making my tribe for our family to connect over lockdown (as younger children wouldn’t have been allowed facebook or Instagram) so I looked for a safer alternative where I could add everyone and only them meaning the children wouldn’t be getting followed by strangers. Since then I have recommended Tribe to one of my friends who owns a school and they have implemented it for there students to stay in touch and also we have made one for students and staff to keep in touch in my own boarding house. For anyone who owns a business is part of a large family or would even like to start a random community with people they don’t know, i completely recommend Tribe as it is very easy to get started and their team is always happy to help.
If they had to improve something it would be really nice if they had a mobile app although you can add it to your home screen on apple devices. Another great thing would be to have more layout options like one a bit more like Instagram.
During lockdown was a tough time for everyone and keeping in touch was what kept people through it. Tribe helped us keep in touch with everyone and only those people with no worry about other people joining.
As someone who’s been really interested in community software for years (and who’s used Buddypress and BBPress since 2016), I must admit that Tribe is one of the best tools I have found for the job. It creates a modern approach to community discussion which my team loves. The forum tool, for so long experienced little growth; the static nature of forums has made teams and communities switch to platforms like Discord or Slack, which possess disadvantages including inconvenient threading, the inability for messages to be indexed and horrible user profiles. Tribe is one of the few platforms that has created a home page for forum communities that people want to use. The home page is dynamic with gamification elements, channels take the place of boards in forums while maintaining the same functionality, and it means that Tribe feels like a community chat platform with the functionality of a forum, but the UX of a beautifully crafted Slack or Discord competitor - which it will be.
As a proponent for open-source software and development, I am disappointed that Tribe is not open-source because I feel that so many people that use Tribe for their communities would have so much to give and offer Tribe through developing, however, this is something that doesn't really matter and regardless the project is going to go in the right directions, as seen by the recent update history. Richer user profiles with galleries (like in Buddypress) are something I missed after using Buddypress, and for someone who moderates/maintains a community that shares a lot of files a dedicated file space attributed to users and groups would be excellent. Deep linking with tools like Github & Gitlab for issues and discussions would be good; a lot of developers discuss their software on platforms like Tribe and this is something that I feel is quite important. The pricing plans are relatively expensive but if you can afford it, it's worth it.
I'm finding that my community is enjoying using the forums more and we've seen a dramatic increase in posts after switching to platforms like Tribe - we're still trialling multiple platforms (Buddypress, Discourse, Gitter, etc) but the community does love tribe!
I've definitely enjoyed using tribe. You have streamlined access to different groups and topics, and I love how when a question is posted you can choose to submit a "comment" or an "answer" - this allows the author of the post to easily differentiate from all responses and go to the most relevant one's. Additionally, the ability to "follow" a post is a great one to stay updated on a particular topic that you're looking to learn and grow in. Most importantly, the Tribe team has invested in our community and been receptive to our feedback, which clearly shows they have a customer-centric approach to their work. I'm eager to see all the enhancements that will be launched in the coming weeks and months.
Answers to posts show up in the feed. I rather just see the posts and open them if interested.
