Bettermode is the preferred community platform for SaaS and Software Companies designed to help businesses build relationships with their audience. To me, Tribe is a great business opportunity. It's like having "your own FB", but without the ads, without millions of cat videos, without all those millions of posts you do no want to see or read (if you do not want them as the host). If you take a small amount of money from every user, you can make a lot of money. That's my business goal in using Tribe.
Dislike? Probably a possibility of adding audio files directly would be great.
Sharing knowledge, giving the opportunity to others for sharing their knowledge, gaining followers.
Tribe has worked continuously improving their products with v1 to v2 and have finally pulled through with their promise of allowing legacy members to migrate to new site. Special thanks to Dan Guzon who completely changed my opinion on tribe positively! Give tribe a go!
Slow in migration to new platform Needs to be more accurate with the deadline they give to customers. They also need to focus on matching the v2 features with the v1 (and improving upon them) but I am sure that is coming very soon, they are almost there!
Complete ownership of a community, instead of the risky option of having a facebook Group.
The platform allows extensive customization. Amazing technical documentation and easy SSO configurations also made it easier to launch the community. We were also able to integrate the community into our existing tools and processes. The biggest benefit of this platform is that it allows you to build solutions on top of the core solution. You can extend the functionality of the community simply by leveraging their developer platform.
This is not something I dislike, but I want to give a bit of advice - pay special attention to the technical documentation and make sure it is always up to date. Given the nature of the platform, without discipline in documentation, implementation can quickly become complex.
We are interested in creating a centralized online community for our customers so we can collaborate with them and help them engage with each other. In terms of benefits, the biggest one has been the amazing customer feedback we have collected with active participation from our product team.
The app store model is what makes this platform appealing. One can explore the apps and install the ones that best fit the requirements. In general, the platform is stable (barring few quirks here and there). Love the customization options and design elements they have captured from social networks. Considering this as your personalized LinkedIn Group designed where you have complete control.
Yet to see them build the ideation app which will be useful for us to collect feedback. We’re optimistic since this is on the roadmap.

Customization is only by CSS, if you are not familiar with the coding it may appear cumbersome.
Tribe allows me to connect with my community members in real-time, private messaging and by posts. The service helps streamline communication vs being scattered with other messaging on social platforms.
Tribe is one of easiest self service community platform out there. The quality of the software and the ease of use truly makes it an outstanding experience for our members. I also have always been a big fan of trying technology before an upgrade which helped us gain the trust we needed. I would highly recommend tribe to organizations looking to strengthen their brand and build credibility with their customers.
I wish it had more community members to community members workflows. Where coaches and advisors can use it to manage their business.

I love that there are a lot of features that you can add, it's simplicity, and lots of ways to customize it.
No ability to do live streaming, and some features that I would like to have require an upgrade to another tier.
I was able to take my group membership from email to having an independent platform. I was also able to transition my Facebook group into using tribe instead.
I’m using the free version of Tribe right now while establishing it as a platform with my users. It was really easy to set up and great quality considering there’s no payment needed! I understand there are more features with the paid version, which as my platform grows I’ll be very interested to check them out. So far our experience has been great and Tribe suits our needs perfectly.
There are a couple of tweaks that would make the experience better but they're very minor. Things like, when inviting members, being able to save your invite message so it's there the next time, or letting you know when you've already invited a user.
I'm using it as an alternative to a facebook group, essentially. It's a space for my customers to interact and discuss their products every month. My customer base is quite political and many have objections to Facebook and Amazon (who own Goodreads which would have been our other option) so Tribe provides a space that's not tainted with all of these ethical problems.
Tribe has been an excellent way for our members to interact with each other, share new ideas, get feedback, and ask questions. It has all the aspects of a social platform, but it's private and customized to our needs.
I could have liked to upload larger files to share with my members.
Staying in touch with the members was easy. People like to discuss different topics and gain feedback from each other.
We have find the tribe technical staff to be very quick to respond to any questions. From setup to going live took only half an hour, after that we had visitors flowing in and signing up after doing a mail shot pointing people to the new community.

It is intuitive and easy to use. People enjoy using it because it reads like a familiar social media platform while protecting their private social media accounts from there professional circles. Our organization's Social Committee was looking for a platform that would help us to stay virtually connected with our coworkers at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We needed something that would be interactive and read like a Facebook page or another social media platform, but without the hassle of sharing your social media with your coworkers when it might contain some personal information. Tribe has been the perfect outlet for this. It allows us to post funny memes, keep conversations going and even set up events like contests, "questions of the day" and host theme days with our coworkers -- which keeps all of us in touch with the fun work culture of our organization. The best part, is you are starting with a clean profile template that is not connected to other social media platforms, and can stay as professional or casual as it needs to be. We love tribe and definitely intend to continue using it! I recommend for any organization that is having difficulty keeping employee engagement open in these unprecedented times.
It would be nice to have more options to upload photos on regular posts. Right now it seems like we can only upload them in the "Discussion Thread" format. Other than that, it's really fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing!
Employee Engagement is a huge factor. The best part of our organization is its people and our strong teams. It was essential for us to find a way to keep our positive culture moving in the right direction when the pandemic hit, and this has been the perfect space for us.

We managed to create a much powerful version of Facebook Groups with Tribe. It is customizable and the data is completely under the company’s control. We like the simplicity of Spaces and Collection to give a structure to the community. Easy SSO setup helped us get started quickly with a friendly login experience for our existing customers.
The app store needs to improve with more apps to select and configure. We’re waiting for virtual currency and advanced gamification features.

Tribe is a great and easy platform to make a social media. When I found tribe I was very pleased when I saw that they had a free plan because it meant that it wouldn’t cost me anything and I was making my tribe for our family to connect over lockdown (as younger children wouldn’t have been allowed facebook or Instagram) so I looked for a safer alternative where I could add everyone and only them meaning the children wouldn’t be getting followed by strangers. Since then I have recommended Tribe to one of my friends who owns a school and they have implemented it for there students to stay in touch and also we have made one for students and staff to keep in touch in my own boarding house. For anyone who owns a business is part of a large family or would even like to start a random community with people they don’t know, i completely recommend Tribe as it is very easy to get started and their team is always happy to help.
If they had to improve something it would be really nice if they had a mobile app although you can add it to your home screen on apple devices. Another great thing would be to have more layout options like one a bit more like Instagram.
During lockdown was a tough time for everyone and keeping in touch was what kept people through it. Tribe helped us keep in touch with everyone and only those people with no worry about other people joining.
My community mostly hates using Facebook, and Tribe is a very familiar platform for us to use. We've created mentor groups inside of our Tribe as well as community leader. It has become a key way for us to communicate upcoming online events, and we are excited to continue to use more integrations of Tribe.so. Another key feature we love about Tribe is the fact that we can also have direct messaging. This has been powerful for us and our users of our product. Thank you Tribe
