I love that I can store everything important to me in Evernote and retrieve it easily. My business and life are way more organized with Evernote as a partner. I especially like the notebooks, tagging, and that I can send an email to any dedicated notebook.
The mobile version is fine, but not as easy to use as the online version.
Organization, productivity, project development, content organization, sharing projects.
Features that stand out: I especially like the ease in creating personalized tags. Clean and unobstrusive user interface, especially in mobile devices. Simple and intuitive to use, yet powerful in use cases where advanced features are required. Powerful, advanced search feature using reserved keywords, similar to Gmail. No less than 5 different viewing options / configurations. For web content, source URL or website automatically recognized and hyperlinked.
Word wrap works fine in mobile devices, automatically adjusting content to the width of the screen. But not so on a desktop, where there appears to be no word wrap nor an option to automatically adjust text size and line width apart from selecting all text and adjusting the font size manually. Sidebar (showing notebooks) cannot be totally collapsed, only minimized.
Access to notes from any device. Evernote combines the functionalities of a full-featured word processor, an advanced search engine, and email client in a user-friendly package.
I like the fact that it's a really flexible tool, I've used it as a note taking app for my classes at the university, I've used it as a personal note pad/ to-do list and I've also used as a multiple users notepad in a couple of design projects. I like the extension that you can install on Chrome too, it's really helpful. I also like the fact that you can attach pdf's into the notes!
I don't like the atlas feature. I also dislike the lack of integration with images and that sort of files, I can't easily drop an image without making a mess out of my notes.
I think in general is a great repository, it's organized and efficient so I save a lot of time getting exactly what I'm looking for. It's also great for meetings and classes, you can take notes on your laptop, tablet or even your phone, that's really handy.
Evernote is a great tool for my therapy practice. It allows me to keep things easily accessible and organized. It is extremely user friendly.
There is nothing I dislike about the program.
I am able to keep updated notes in an easy, accessible place. I have realized I am more apt to keep up on notes electronically than regular paper and pen.
Synchronization, sharing, creating notes, clear interface.
Relatively low file security, slow speed on Android.
Creating notes, plans, lists, writing ideas
This software has been around a long time and is very well thought through. The developers and designers on their team have made it very easy to use across all platforms and have maintained that excellence for years. Ease of use is essential for a capture/retrieval tool, and Evernote does it best.
The things I dislike about the software have more to do with the nature of the workflow it captures. You have to actually USE it for it to be useful. It can't read your mind very well.
Evernote is a crucial part of my every day productivity and an integral component of my GTD workflow. It serves as my digital file cabinet. I scan most all of my documents into it and use it to store article clippings and other items for later retrieval. It is essentially a personal database, pre-filtered for content I know to be useful.
This app lets me sync notes and ideas quickly between all my devices. I have never had an instance where it let me down.
I actually don't have anything that I would change about evernote. It works perfectly.
I needed a way to quickly jot down an idea so I could work on it later.
Evernote is a crucial business and personal application for me. I store everything in Evernote, and use their notebook function to segregate by key topics. It works seamlessly across all my devices and the sync feature works well, and fast.
I'd like the tagging to be a little more intuitive, and the formatting isn't very portable.
Storage of all business communications. Ability to search and find notes from several years ago, allowing me to recall conversations and commitments that otherwise would be left to memory. This recall as solved many confusing situations and defused potentially serious misunderstandings.
Evernote is a very unique way to keep track of practically everything you could want to do. From making list, to writing our entire articles and easily transferring it from your phone or tablet to a computer. The ability to sync across multiple devices means you can always work on your projects. This is also a great tool to use when working with other people on projects.
The only thing I dislike about Evernote is you need to have a subscription if you want to use it across more than two devices. Which can be a problem if you travel a lot and you have to use a mobile device, a laptop and a computer. While this is a mild inconvenience if you're looking for a completely free tool that can be used across a lot of devices, it's only a small fee.
For my work and business evernote allows me to make quick notes that I can update inbetween devices. This also allows me to prewrite some data on my mobile device while I travel, which I can later finish on my computer, allowing me to keep my work going nonstop. This gives so many more benefits as well, with the ability to embed images and other things into each note.
Evernote does exactly what it promises: it makes everything clear!!!! Never have I been so organized, on top of things, and able to do everything on my Lenovo in the amount of time it takes me. A truly perfect product.
Sometimes (depending on your computer), it can a little bit on the slower side, but if you clean up your computer, it should not be a problem.
It connects me to my gmail and allows me to take notes, organize important information, and send reminders in a very short amount of time!!!!
Access to the notes on all platforms mobile, tablet ,laptop. Super easy to incorporate photos into notes and share motes
Formatting text is a little clunky but once you learn the hot keys on the keyboard it is much easier
Easily search and find relevant information from last meeting by keyword . This makes ease of information on ANY DEVICE super simple
I love the ability to sync your notes across multiple devices! The cloud uploading is quick and happens in the background, so I don't have to worry about losing work.
Honestly nothing. The only feature I wish for is the ability to hand write notes on a tablet and have it translate into text for ease of copying and pasting into multiple documents.
Honestly is the best solution for students. I have not thought of may business applications.
One of the best features of Evernote is being able to organize all my information into notebooks. These notebooks have helped me to recover information that would have otherwise been lost.
Evernote needs to add a handwriting recognition keyboard to it's service.
Recalling information that is 1-2 years old and not in our current main systems.
Easy to use, syncs across devices so that you always have access to the most up to date information
I really cannot think of a feature that I dislike
Organizing all communications in a centralized database that is accessible from anywhere.
The cloud storage capabilities are amazing - no matter where I go, or what device I'm using, I know I'll be able to access all of my notes.
I honestly can't think of anything to dislike about Evernote. They've obviously spent a great deal of time improving their software and I've never experienced a bug or noticed a feature that I didn't like.
My job requires the assimilation of vast amounts of information about our projects and clients. Evernote has given me the ability to transfer a desk covered in sticky notes and paper to a cloud environment, where I can access my information anywhere.
Evernote is a great interface and software package that is easy to use across multiple platforms.
Recently Evernote has limited your access to your free account to only two screens - and in an age where a phone, tablet, and laptop are all apart of a professionals toolkit this is a way to force a paid service.
Notes are easy to take, articles are easy to store from the web, and all are easy to share with other team members or clients.
Good sync, creating notes, sharing, lack of advertising, clear interface.
Limited offline access, the co-editing mode is not implemented well.
You can write notes for work, some ideas, meetings.
Evernote helps me keep all of the important stuff in one place. They make it a snap to search for files. The phone app “scans” documents better than just taking a pic.
Sometimes how things get organized can be confusing.
Keeping client docs in an easy repository and I can share documents from with Evernote easily.
I can see my notes on mobile or my desktop or on my iPad! They all sync
Nothing really. It’s great. Super convenient I have a absolutely no complaints
Having all notes/ tasks in one spot. I’m able to see all my notes wheather I’m on my desktop phone or iPad!
I like the UI of it - the colors, fonts, layouts - everything is easy to use and nice to look at. It's also available on the web when you aren't using your home devices or mobile apps, which is very helpful.
I wish there were an easier way to preview my notes without having to click on them. I also wish that the paid version had a lot more features. When you pay, you get to access offline and a few other benefits, but that's it. I wish it had more!
Organization. I keep all my schedules, finance goals, and thoughts and brainstorm docs in here. It's really useful! And I don't need to carry a notebook everywhere I go.
