There’s not much that I dislike. I’ve had it fail in me for a note once but it wasn’t the end of the world. If it was an important meeting I could see that being an issue.

It's good because its a stand-alone app that does all the work. It's useful for taking notes.

Mobile interface is terrible. Responsiveness is slow and flexibility to edit and add something later is tedious. The page tends to scroll around a lot.

Of course going paperless and getting organized with notes, etc..

The app works and links across multiple devices. You can type notes, or voice type them, whichever is easier.

There isn’t much to dislike, the tour when you originally sign up is not necessary to take but you can quit the tour at any time.

YOu can scan receipts and other important items to save all to one place, this keeps everything in a central location and easier to access later.

A digital place for all my stuff, but I already have that. Evernote does a decent job at getting the organization job done. I'm sure for people who use other platforms, or multiple platforms, Evernote would work great. I do like that Evernote works with Moleskin products. So writing and digital comes together nicely.

I haven't found a good use for it yet. Using Macs and iPhones, I already have everything in iCloud. The Apple universe provides me and my organization the tools needed to keep everything in one place. One thing I really don't like is the fact that the UI doesn't seem to be very friendly in my honest opinion. I am a stickler for simplicity, Evernote seems to pride itself on simplicity, but it just doesn't come across for me and my organization.

I have realized no significant benefits. I have tried to utilize the Evernote platform, but I have not been able to find a daily need for it. I would like to utilize it for volunteers as we are a non profit, but have not attempted that yet.

I love being organized. Evernote is a great program to help with that. The Chrome extension is super helpful to clip and save information to Evernote. I love being able to use the app as well as the online version. Share options is also super helpful and allows sharing across multiple platforms and social media sites

The app can be a bit clunky and doesn't always sync properly. I wish there were a few more edit options in the program. I would like a drawing option in the notebook field.

Keeping my life and projects organized and in one place.

It is easy to add item to Evernote on your PC/MAC. Using the add-on to Chrome or other browser it is a couple of clicks. You can always email the item from anyway as well. What's good is that it is another cloud storage program.

I just don't seem to use it often enough. It is often just as fast to run a web search and find the info as it is to search Evernote. On the flip side, it is also as easy using my email client.

Trying to centralized notes and information for the business. I don't think any real benefits have been realized. I don't use it very much because of that reason.

I need to have limited variables. I love the idea of Evernote, but it's not for someone as disorganized as I am.

Notebooks, Tags, and Searching, not only keeps things organized. Everything is locatable even if you aren't organized. I sometimes throw everything into there.

One dimensioned. Although it can integrate with other services, integrations leave much to be desired. I still use other services because my reminds and notes link to my calendar so much better.

For development I want to keep all my resources, scripts and notes organized and in one program, accessible across my office and home.

I like that you can sync your notes where ever you are.

It's hard to format a document in Evernote. I find it useful for note-taking but I ultimately have to format them in another program before sending them to anyone.

It's easy to take notes on any device, whether it be a tablet or phone in a meeting so you don't have to have hand-written notes or bring a laptop.

I use evernote as a collaborative lab notebook, and it is easy to add a new note for each day, edit notes, and contribute to others notes. It allows you to sort by the day created or day edited - both serve different important functions for me. I like the ability to combine notes, but NOT that it automatically erases the original notes. The check boxes are a pretty cool function.

I dislike how easy it is to ERASE all of your work without the ability to get it back. If you accidentally make a change or erase what you've been working on you can not retrieve that information. If you could track changes, or look at previous versions of a note it would be extremely helpful. This poses a higher risk when you have shared notebooks. Two people cannot be editing the same note, which is an issue when collaborating.

The ability to share a lab notebook with others working on the project, but not have it public.

Evernote is the pioneer for note taking and notebook sharing cloud services. Their software shines in a few key areas such as: easy of sharing notes with other users and non-Evernote users, ability to search through all notes, simplistic process for starting new notes or notebooks and the ability to move notes between your different notebooks. Evernote included a really stunning feature that I haven't been able to find in such a nice package: if you upload a photo or scan of a document that includes hand written elements, Evernote looks at the handwriting analyzes it and catalogs it for searchable.

Evernote's biggest downfall is in the way it syncs your notes across different devices. While the feature of syncing across multiple devices has always been an issue with Evernote, it seems that the issues with how it syncs and how to resolve syncing between devices hasn't been solved. If you need to switch between an iPad and your computer, there can be issues in between the two devices depending on how quickly you pick up the other device and begin using it. Evernote does not function like Google Docs. Evernote has to be synced manually or via the automatic and can only be synced across devices when they are connected to the internet or the same network.

Evernote allows any of it's user, even free or basic, to start taking better notes. Through a focused use of note taking in our department, we were able to ensure that all meetings and project tasks were accounted for and assignments were accurate. It also allowed for us to perform a postmortem on our projects and compare where we started and where we finished.

As an Evernote user for the better part of 9 years, I've seen how Evernote has improved and changed over the years. What I love about Evernote is how it can handle most any type of document or file I send to it: PDFs, images, clipped webpages, Word docs, and PPT files. I love the OCR and strong search features, so I can find documents with even the smallest guess as to what it is titled. I also appreciate how it is on every device I use, how it interacts with other software solutions, and how it simply syncs across devices and platforms.

In recent years, Evernote has grown larger, but has lost some of its focus on enhancing the user experience. And in the last two months, they've make some decisions to cripple the Free version of their product, either forcing people to use a much weaker service or to pony up cash for the Premium version. Limiting the Free version to only 2 devices seems pointless and will only frustrate, not inspire confidence in the company as a whole. Additional little choices, like limiting the number of notebooks, monthly upload limits, removing products, and stagnant design make me less excited about Evernote than when I first started so many years ago. While I'm invested in this product - both financially and in terms of how many notes I have - I would need to see some improvement before I wholeheartedly recommended this product to others again.

Evernote is good for storing a wide variety of information across devices and platforms. I've used it as a resource database, a location for notes and ideas, and brainstorming future products and content. I've found that, by creating templates and using a system of notebooks and tags, I can create a very usable database of varied information.

Doesn't let you drag & drop a file into an editable text document.

Mobile note taking. No real benefits at this time since I can't export as a Word document.

Sometimes can be buggy and slow. Controlling the style of notes is not very easy or doesn't offer a lot of options.

If I had a tablet I may have had better luck with this app. But since I mainly work off my laptop, I learned that I like to just email myself my "notes". This approach works for me.

You can organize your notes easily, and access from web and mobile app. The folder and organization piece is strong compared to other softwares.

The sharing feature is clunky and not very collaborative. It takes a long time to sync changes between team members. The typing is weird, and the keyboard shortcuts are different than any standard program keyboard presets. Command - shift - 8 does not start a bullet list. For a typing software, it does not net you type easily and efficiently.

A note taking app, and a way to send questions to employees for feedback and real time editing.

I do enjoy how sleek and well designed the platform is, however, it's functionality lags behind other players in the same field.

I dislike the formatting and it's not easily accessible / shareable to colleagues.

Evernote caused more issues than resolved in my workplace. I stopped using it for the functionality issues.
