I love that I can sync my notes between my phone, laptop, and work desktop. Evernote is great for quick notes during meetings, grocery lists, etc. I have several jobs, so it's really helpful that there are so many options for organizing notes and tracking them with tags. It helps me keep track of everything.
Sometimes my notes don't sync quite right. Once I lost some notes I took offline. I'm not sure exactly what happened, and it's only happened once, but if you're taking important notes I would recommend making sure you manually sync to make sure everything is saved.
Evernote is great for taking notes during meetings, making task lists, and sharing thoughts with colleagues. It's great that it's so easy to access from anywhere.
Evernote is the place where I store all of my projects, my timelines and my overall vision for business development strategies. I keep meeting notes and important interactions in my evernote books. The ease of use and transition between notebooks is seamless, I can jump from task to task, note to note, without having to click on mutliple word files or multiple menus on some web platform. When I need to share something with my team, it is as simple as sharing the note with them, and then we can all discuss and edit within evernote, it is simply the best thing that has happened to my work.
There is absolutely nothing that I do not like about evernote. I have been using it for just over 4 months now for my new job and have yet to find an aspect of it that is less than ideal. Every other functionality that I discover continues to make my life that much easier.
Just making sure that everything that I am currently working on is in one place and can be shared with my team if need be, having all my notes sorted and organized neatly is something that I had never really experienced until now.
Evernote is my single most useful app/piece of software. I use it for everything, from web clipping to organising my writing notes and storing snaps of my receipts. I love that it syncs across all of my devices and is reliable.
Nothing. I'm a huge fan of evernote and right now, can't think of anything I dislike.
Keeping all of my files, notes and ideas in an easily searchable and indexable place.
I love the fact that I can scan business cards, documents, etc. using my phone camera. The Scannable app integration is fantastic for storing business cards as contacts in my phone (iPhone 6S). I regularly use the other integrated apps to mark up documents and share them with coworkers.
I'm not a fan of the most recent changes made to storage sizes and restrictions on number of devices.
This has solved a need for storing new business contacts quickly, and giving us the ability to chat about and discuss documents while working on them.
It's so easy to use. I love clipping from web pages, dragging pdfs into it and starting a fresh document in it. It is completely versatile
I hate that everyone doesn't use it, so it's hard to share files etc. I think some people are overwhelmed by all it can do and that holds them backl
Evernote helps me with storage and easy retrieval of files and webpages and data
Evernote has cool features that help you become more productive whether it is for school or in a work environment. It is one stop note taking solution where you can compile all your notes into different notebooks within the app. You can share notebooks with others for ease of collaboration. The application is available on multiple platforms include a mobile app, a desktop app and your notes can be accessed through the Evernote site.
Some of my pain points include the following: The app can be slow at times, slow boot up times, slow at opening notes etc. I have lost several notes before because of a sudden drop in internet connectivity. When copying and pasting into the notes, you do not have full capabilities as you would in something like Microsoft Word (pasting as a picture, pasting as plain text, pasting as formatted text etc.)
The business problem that is being solved is the organization of notes. When using something like Microsoft word for all your note taking, you usually end up with hundreds of separate word documents. This arises to organization problems and difficulties finding the right set of notes when you need to refer to it. There is also a lot of time spent with placing your Microsoft Word notes into folders. By using Evernote, all your notes are automatically embedded into a notebook and can easily be referred to at any time. The biggest benefit I have realized is productivity.
The ability to store a TON of information, set reminders, organize into notebooks, sync across multiple platforms and ALWAYS have your notes at hand. I write EVERYTHING I may want to look into later and have everything from critical information to brief follow up notes and movie lists.
Cannot color coordinate note/notebook titles. In fact there is very limited customization that can be done at all.
Maintaining a database of information on clients, buildings, contractors and any semi business related notes I may want to reference later.
I love the way that you can take a note from your phone and then continue working on it from your computer, and vice versa. The paid versions appear to offer some good features, although I have found that the Basic version works fine for me.
The free version is great, and it's really all that I need, but they do try to upsell you to the paid versions. They sometimes have special offers, like a back-to-school discount, and you can get the paid versions at discounted rates. If one of these offers comes around again I may take it.
I'm able to take notes from anywhere and find them quickly and easily without having to dig through pages of note books
Evernote make it easy to collect and have access to anything anytime. I know I can capture almost anything from the internet or the real world in a way that I will be able to find it when I need it later.
There are gaps in functionality between platforms. I regularly use Evernote on Mac, Windows, Android, iOS and Web and I get annoyed when the device I'm using doesn't have a feature I've used on other devices. Things like sharing to a screen (good on iOS, not so much anywhere else) and formating (minor difference all over) bother me. Sometimes I also get into frustrating situations when working in the same note as someone else (most frequently the grocery list with my wife).
Collecting notes and documents from all over into one place for easy reference and sharing. Evernote allows me to be confident that I can find my notes when I need them.
Evernote automatically syncs in the cloud with all of my devices for easy access. I can start a note on my phone and instantly access it on my computer. I am able to to create lists, notes, audio files, etc
I dislike that they have moved to a freemium model where now I can only access my account on two devices on the free version. I have 2 computers, an iPad and a smartphone that now I have to choose only 2 devices to be able to sync. It should be 3 devices for free and then 4+ devices for the premium module
To be able to easily search through all of my notes from my phone conversations at work is priceless. I am able to create different categories for work, personal, family, grocery, etc
I love that I can keep organized notebooks on the go! I use Evernote to store new ideas, work notes, Instagram hashtags I use often, pieces of writing when inspiration hits, and more. It's my favorite place to keep the pieces I may need at my fingertips. And it's easy to use!
There's not anything that jumps out at me. I've always enjoyed my experience with Evernote. I use it more on my phone than my computer, so it would likely be on the computer side that I'd dislike something. But so far, so good!
Evernote allows me to keep records and work on the go. I keep information I use daily within the app, as well as notes for future review, and notes where I'm writing copy in the app from my phone when I'm on the go. The ability to sync between my computer to my phone is a huge time-saver for me and that alone is worth it!
I love that Evernote can be synced through your desktop, phone and other devices. I can access notes I created on my computer on my phone on the go!
I hate that some features are only available to paid users. I got a free month upgrade for recommending it to a friend and loved the paid version. The free version is great too though.
I am able to easily organize notes in client notebooks through Evernote. I'm able to take notes in meetings and search notes within their search feature. It has helped be stay more productive and organized in my professional and private life.
I love all the various types of information that can be stored and easily viewed in Evernote, and that the app permits complex formatting of entered text. There is even a reminder function and large storage capacity. The fact that it is accessible on multiple devices is also beneficial.
There is almost nothing to dislike! Some integration with other software would be a plus, such as Outlook. Sub-folder structures would also be a great addition.
Instead of utilizing costly specialty client management software I can use this more cost-effective method of managing my clients and their cases. I can create a Notebook for each client and include all of their client information, case information, attach documents, and set reminders. I can even choose to provide access to clients for specific information. It is easy to use on the go from my iPad and Android phone, as well as in the office on my desktop.
Best of Evernote is the versatility to capture ideas, content, links and all that is needed for a work plan based on research, referencing and editing.
It is still not too friendly in collaborative work, ideally having a functionality similar to Google Docs, where multiple users editing is very simple and powerful
It has solved the mess of having paper notes, information on mails, documents on Dropbox, links saved in browsers, everything related to a project spread .
It's free. Easy access. Simple and intuitive. Easily accessible from most devices. Plenty of storage, especially since most notes dont require much data. Consistently new, easy-to-use apps/plug ins/extensions that increase the service's functionality.
They limited access from more than 2 devices. Not as intuitively a sharing/collaborative platform as google docs.
Easily able to capture and recall/access information when needed.
Evernote works fantastically well for taking notes, this application, I find very easy to use, I did not need to watch any tutorials or other videos on how to use it. it also allows for pictures to be incorporated into the notes and can sync to multiple devices.
The sync process took a little too long than necessary, sometimes it did not sync at all but gave an error message. The camera on the application does allow you to zoom in or out which is a bit frustrating because in the setting where you are taking notes at a session and need to screenshot whats presented on the projector, one might need to zoom in or out in order to actually see whats being displayed.
I just used it to take notes at a conference and I needed it to be able to easily sync between my phone and laptop
It is a really useful tool that helps you to take important notes and catch online information. For me, the strongest point is the Google Chrome extension that allows you to copy the content of articles that you are reading; so, you can build a strong 'library' of documents that could help you in your daily work. Another good feature is that it gives you the option to share your documents with other people.
Maybe what I dislike of this tool is the text formatting. In some occasions, it loses the selected format or it does not realise that you have changed the current style for another one. Another thing, it is the function of pasting text because it is usually that the text is copied with a strange or annoying format.
We need to take notes and getting localised online information stored in the cloud so, with this tool, we were able to get it.
It is very free-form and allows me to save, format, index, tag, and search everything.
It would be good if there some further integrations were available.
Keep all my projects, documents, in one place.
Any application I use must be accessible from any device anywhere. Evernote meets that requirement and they do it very well. Evernote is easy to use and sync from my phone to my tablet to my laptop.
Their Windows desktop application could use some updates. Some of the resizing areas are almost impossible to click. I also use Evernote on a Chromebook, and the app is a waste of time - use the website instead.
access to my notes on every device I use at any time.
Easy note taking, great search and features. Makes staying organized extremely easy. I use it for both work and my personal life. The interface is simple and easy to use.
There isn't much about Evernote I don't like. Everything I need it for it seems to have.
Flawless syncing.
