Easy to use and straightforward. Produces an efficient gantt chart.

Not handling budget very well. The filters are not always useful.

Easy to configure and repeatable processes. Smartsheet University is a good source for learning about the product. A strong and fun Community platform where discussions, questions and answers are available to engage in or just review, whether it's to see what's going on in the Community or for help with solutions.

Commonly used features in Excel and Project are not available or are only available via 3rd party or add-on apps. Basic formatting, like column headers, is missing. Creating reports often requires workarounds for commonly needed things. Feature enhancements do not come often enough, and some of the most asked-for features have never been implemented or even addressed/discussed.

Smartsheet offers a project-centric platform that allows collaboration, transparency, and live data to be shared across the organization and beyond. Previously we had Project Managers working out of multiple platforms. Now we've got everybody aligned on one platform.

This is very user-friendly, can see all the status change updates in the log and can attach big-size files also. It is easy to use a filter of specific criteria.

Smartsheet is essentially a more intuitive and efficient version of Excel, in my opinion. The way you interact with the cells is a lot more natural in my experience allowing for easier manipulation of data. My favorite thing about Smartsheet is the way they never stop improving their product. They are always adding new features and ways to use/display data, so there's always something new to explore. They also do lots of free trainings and User Groups, some of which I have attended, which were very useful in my experience. Lastly, since most of us can't really ever get away from Excel, I love the way the sheets integrate when you do need to transfer them over; it's pretty seamless.

The only real downside in my experience, is that many of the best features of Smartsheet require a higher-tier license and are pretty expensive to access. I understand why they have to do this, but if I had to pick something, it would definitely be that.

Smartsheet has been much more efficient for us in terms of allowing whole Teams to interact with the same data at the same time. We used to pass static Excel Spreadsheets back-and-forth, but this is way more efficient and provides many more actionable insights.

Smartsheet makes it very easy to complete all of my documents and organization needs within one spreadsheet. The nice thing is you can use it for anonymous surveys, data collection, intake, organization l, creation of forms, and basically the sky's the limit! I could not function in my current role without it!

Nothing other than I am sure there are things I don't know that could improve my day to day workflow.

It keeps me extremely organized for all the students coming on site to our medical facility! It also is a great tracking mechanism that you can build, modify, or change if you have new requirements or objectives that need collected.

It is easy to map out project deliverable, milestones, due date and stay on top of all the projects going on with the team. It easy to use the basic version and very cost effective without resources hence enhancing project management as they expand further. It operates like excel enabling people with knowledge in excel to use it as it helps in project management through finding the formatting capabilities which is effective in managing large amount of data .

Smartsheet has the best UX of any workflow platform on the market. It's so easy to use and requires no code!

SmartSheet's groups feature (similar to AD groups and lists) is under-developed and needs to be more robust for better ease of scaling.

Smartsheet is so great because you can go from grid-data, to a report, to a dashboard, in 10 minutes. The barriers to entry are low technologically and the automations are very easy to create.

The ease and adaptivity of this software for me is just amazing. I can create so many triggers and reports and dashboards quickly and efficiently. I love this software and have incorporated it in the last 3 jobs with huge success.

Training cost. My training has been mostly self-taught, YouTube videos, I would love to become certified as I am the platform expert at my current job, however, the cost is too high to get certified.

I love that Smartsheet is constantly evolving and improving.

There are just minor things I don't like. One was the need to start a new instance. However, if you download the app, it's much easier to start a new instance of Smartsheet. This was a critical function since I usually have several Smartsheets open. I do not like that you can't zoom in and out within the app. I also have a need for a "radar chart" - I requested an improvement for that. I have an issue where the reports won't sort by the highest number.

Smartsheet helped us set up a ticketing system for safety, maintenance, and engineering and Smartsheet also helps us to run a continuous improvement program. These tickets allow us to see what is requested, when it was requested, and what resolved the issue. We also have easier reporting capabilities.

Its flexibility enables you to turn your sheets into just about anything. It also is super easy to consolidate information from multiple sheets into a single report in just a few clicks or taps. This allows you to be able to identify trends and potential bottlenecks for continuous improvement.

The interface wasn't as user-friendly as I thought it would be. It took me some time to learn how to work with it. It can also be a little difficult to chart and analyze data. I also wish it was easier to look at sheets at a glance without having to generate a report. I also wish for each user you could have multiple emails.

Clean simplicity for basic users, advanced features for those who want to dig deeper. Automations and dashboards are massive help to track projects and KPIs.

Hard to keep them organized and referenced correctly. Sometimes there are global issues (temporary and rare) when access or integrity is problematic.

It fixes "shared excel nightmare" and locating the data (hurray there is global search!), reminding users to update info, tracking comments and activity.

What's not to like? If you take the time to learn all of the features that Smartsheet offers you too will be impressed. While primarily used for project management of all shapes and sizes, the software is multi dimensional. We also use the program for resourcing across the firm which ensure visibility and proper allocation. Additionally, Smarsheet Support goes above and beyond.

Can you dislike the amount of features? I often compare Smartsheet to Excel, if you take the time to learn and invest in the software only then will you be able to realize the potential of the program.
