Evernote has built its reputation by offering wonderful notice taking software so my work can be more productive and organized. I appreciate the simplicity of taking note on my mac and using different functions such as different pointer color, night mode, font scaling, presentation, voice recording and work chat. I also appreciate the reasonable price: even premium subscription is affordable and reasonable with unlimited sync cross devices, large note size, convert to pdf. Hand-drawing sketches on iPhone are quite useful as well.
I don't think you can use the hand-drawing function on MacBook, only iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Also, the grammar and spelling checking failed to work couple times and I have to reinstall the software to solve the problem.
Conferences, seminars, online training. All these online meetings required note taking and presentations. Evernote is easy, efficient, and professional. I used to take note on paper and later have to scan and email to everyone which took longer and sometimes people couldn't recognize my handwriting and drawing, and the worst part was I couldn't recognize either. What a nightmare.
From Lists to Meeting Minutes to Notes and Recipes - I use Evernote every day to organize my life.
Occasionally have syncing issues across platforms.
I use it at meetings to take detailed outline notes and minutes.
The format of the software allowed for a truly organized feel. I was able to compartmentalize different aspect of work responsibilities under different categories. Creating different pages and notes allowed for a truly smooth flow of business. I was able to feel more satisfied with my work when I could cross off bullets on my to-do lists and task pages.
I wish there were more effective reminder options for task lists. Making the lists is important but if there were some way to create an effective set of reminder pop-ups, I believe that would be helpful. In addition, there were occasional syncing problems between the phone app and the desktop software.
As an administrator, I have several different areas of responsibility. I had trouble keeping these separate arenas organized and compartmentalized properly - Evernote helped me solve that issue.
Easy to use User interface. It is really basic and one doesn't need to be pro at using this tool. Not at all confusing and classification selection from the very beginning of a note creation is really cool. Sharing featureis useful and require no add-ons while sharing with other user. Group chat is really cool
As of now I do not have any negative experience with Evernote. It has satisfied all basic needs and requirements and had surpass the expectancy.
Basic note keeping, Group chat, Notes categorization, reduced manual synchronization overhead. TO-DO list keeps me up to date with my work.
This is the tool acts as note book which can be synchronized to mobiles, tablets, computes ,in which we can add notes ,passwords ,share documents with our friends or colleagues. Even we get the shared documents from any where .Our new and best ideas will be with us always .Everything can be maintained under single roof and easy to find them all .It enhance our notes with links, attachments, audio recordings even handwritten notes are searchable.
There are no major problems with this tool but It doesn't have calendar for next month activities,it doesn't store pictures because there is no gallery or a layout. In case of collaboration of project notes it cant manage more colleges.it doesn't do alarm much easier. If u want the same reminders to repeat we should do reset.
Organised Team will get more profit as from initial stage of project can be till end of project by making ever note as team hub and productivity bliss, with ever note as information hub that knowledge wont leave when someone on your team does.
Easy to store notes for personal and professional projects. Helps to keep me on task, and syncs with my phone. Been using this product for several years and couldn't be happier with this solution.
There is a cost to share notes with others or to sync to more than 2 devices. I get it if they don't want me sharing with other users, but I would like to have this synced to my home and work computer as well as my home and work cell phone.
It helps me with planning, I can access my notes from anywhere. Have done everything from planning a major party to keeping track of client notes and working on professional certifications using this tool.
It is synced on various devices. clipper, merging of notes and the highlighter with copying the selected text is awesome. its easy to use. one can create different notebooks for different areas. the search features is very efficient and easy to use. The web clipper extension on chrome is a great addition.
Really awesome. am a big fan, using a premium version.
Using it to clip lines and paras to merge and make a single a single note. multiple users in team share images and notes which are editable....makes it easy to collaberate.
Easy to use and access from all of my devices, regardless of location. The platform works on any device (desktop, mobile, tablet, iOS and Android) and is easily shareable.
Nothing. No, really. Nothing. At all. This is great. The freemium version is incredible. I use this product every day and have been fortunate enough to use it for free.
Note tracking and keeping my notes and thoughts organized. Having the ability to keep different notes in different folders is huge.
I like the clean interface of evernote best. It is easy to do exactly what I need to do, and it saves quickly which I love. I appreciate that it has a desktop interface which I use way more than the web app. I also like its ability to easily import screenshots which is a big way that I track my work. It makes things a lot easier than using the ever-annoying Word and Microsoft office tools.
I do not like the design of the left sidebar as I find it hard to differentiate between my folders and sections of content. I wish there was some kind of symbol system or a bit more space between everything to tell things apart.
I am tracking all of my customer interview notes here, and I am trying to solve organizational problems for my own work. My team also uses evernote to share content which is really easy to do and something I enjoy on this product.
I love the simplicity of Evernote. I store everythings: documents, screenshoots, wireframes and especially notes. I loves the organization tree and the tools that i can use: tables, to dos list, alert. I can annote all my ideas in a only place and I can connect a lot of useful services. I can use it like a storage service and it is very simple to search documents or single words. It is a nice swiss knife for my archive
I dislike the recurring payment. Evernote premium is a valid solution but i would pay one time a fee and not a annual or a monthly subscription. In addition I dislike there is not a integration with dropbox or iCloud similarly Google drive integration, but the developers will provide soon, i am sure. And finally I dislike the notification about the to dos list. There is not a recurring or a multiple alarms
I resolve the problem to fix and store my ideas. I order my files and I can control my workflow and its evolution. In addition i share all with my co-workers, customers and with my lawyer and business consultant. Then, I know the whole situation of my business because I store my invoices and my receipts
Evernote keeps all your notes together in one place, accessible from all devices.
The limit on devices in the free plan is unfortunate.
Being able to share notes with co-workers and collaborate has been irreplaceable.
I like that Evernote is very easy to use! It is extremely consistent across all platforms, and I use it on my laptop, iPad, and Google Pixel smartphone. I can clip web content directly from my browser and quickly categorize and tag it for easy access. Evernote gives you the ability to type in notes from any device, or handwrite notes on your touchscreen device. No matter what the source of the notes, Evernote has an OCR reader that allows you to search words in notes, even if they are handwritten.
The only thing I don't like about Evernote is that the note files are not compatible with other software platforms. If I want to transfer them to use elsewhere, it is a copy and paste process. The good news for me is, they work for me in Evernote!
I am a consultant that is responsible for producing a lot of new content on a weekly basis. Evernote helps me store ideas and research for my writing, easily group like content, and then be able to quickly access it. I also use Evernote to store important business and personal documents, and business receipts, again, so they can be easily accessed if needed. One of my goals is to become as paperless as possible and Evernote is the primary tool to accomplish this goal.
Evernote is amazing in the sense that as a standalone app, it is already a very useful note taking application that lets create multiple notebooks, add images, audio and attachments. Its great for annotations, creating to do lists, assisting with task management via GTD methodologies. You can format your notes. But in addition to that, the browser add-ons make an already great app even better! You can save entire website pages, save certain highlighted clips, save links Evernote bookmarks. The list goes on.
It's blessing is also its curse. Because you can so easily store so much information, you need a strategy of how you will keep all this information. A strategy for naming your notebooks, your tags, etc. If you just throw everything in there, it'll be like a big clutter of notes and you won't keep using it.
Going paperless, organizing notes and organizing research material.
Evernote is an all-platform player so no matter what device you're using, you can access your content. Evernote has a huge support system for every individual or business needs as notebook structure to organize, tagging to search, media handling to be able to store almost any type of content and flexibility to create your own, creative solutions.
As it can be a huge CMS system, sometimes it needs to sync longer (30 sec). But that's acceptable I think.
We're running our whole business on Evernote. Project planning, meeting notes, internal training system, HR, Finance, etc. I's a core system for us. Also, as an individual we do the same at family level - in a separate workspace!
Evernote remembers everything. It integrates seemlessly in your browser, in apps, in your phone, in your e-mail ... The desktop clients for OS X and Windows to manage your data are a great piece of software as well. I've used it use it for research related tasks, writing, learning and documentation.
There is no Linux client. With Linux desktops you'll have to use the web frontend. It's ok, but it lacks quite a few features and it is slow. The Linux Applications out there built by the community are not very good. Especially if you have a large database.
Evernote is a one-stop-shop for a personal database.
When I say this I'm really serious. Evernote is my best friend. I collect all my ideas, articles, websites and notes in it. All the ideas related to projects. All the articles to keep me updated. I love the interface simple and easy. I love all the apps avaible for the different platforms, so I can access my files from wherever I am.
There is nothing at the moment that I do not like about Evernote.
Evernote became through the years my personal assistant. It allows me to organize all my notes and ideas and to stay organized. Improving my workflow and saving my time.
Organization of data in notebooks, very good desktop application for windows, easy searching either by tag or by title. Also, it is possible to search inside notes. I am using the application since 2012 and i am very pleased compared with other similar programs. Clip to evernote is necessary chrome plugin in order to save your web pages to evernote notebooks. Also, you can navigate in notebooks by using the browser version of evernote in linux. It has one of the best applications for mobile devices. I certainly recommend it and it can be used together with Pocket to transfer notes between them using IFTTT commands.
I have tested similar applications like OneNote but i always return to evernote. Maybe the subscriptions for evernote premium and evernote plus are high.
you can share notes with other programmers in your team. You find all your notes easily without loosing time searching. Productivity is the main advantage of the application.
It's incredibly easy to use to jot down quick temporary notes.
My shortcuts feature doesn't work properly. Doesn't easily sync with other software in my experience as it causes a lot of note conflicts.
Replaced paper notes by using Evernote. I never forget anything ever again.
I like that it’s accessible via phone and desktop, that notes are linksble, I can insert pictures, text formatting.
Sometimes the service goes down, not that often, but when it does I am screwed. Also the text formatting is inconsistent between mobile and desktop.
Excellent for to do lists and collaboration.
It's mobile and computer friendly, it's easy to use, it's intuitive.
It autosaves but sometimes, not right away. Always make sure to save before closing, just in case.
I keep track of all my to-do items in easy lists!
