Greenhouse has helped us even before it was implemented with the anticipation of how this tool will move our organization forward. Have a tool that talks to all of our other systems, and allows us to set up scorecards/interview steps/etc in one place without having to use a google sheet, has been fantastic.
How easy it is to navigate. I also love the funnel metrics it provides.
I think the only downside would be price for value.

After having used more than 5 other ATS options on the market, I can confidently say GH is my favourite - the platform is well set-up, easy to use and easy to understand (my training and ramp up time was so little I was using it confidently in under a week). The dashboard feature keeps everything I need in one easy to access area, so when I sign in every morning I can quickly scan all the things I need to see - and I love that is is customamizable, so you can make it your own. In my role I actively source talent each day, schedule interviews, (at times) conduct interviews, post on the internal and external job boards, review job posts, review kick-off/in-take forms from hiring managers... and more... and everything is right there and easy to access. I also love the way each candidate profile is set up, the stages are easy to see and move candidates through, and when it comes to scheduling or emailing candidates the buttons to do this are so easy to find and the steps are so easy to follow.. it is almost impossible not to do this quickly! The integrations are great as well - almost every option you can think of is there, and easy to set up. Importing candidates from various sources is a breeze. Reporting on GH is quite robust as well - much more reporting than other platforms I've used in the past - and when you have questions a CS person is eager to help you set up new reports, understand reports more fully, and make changes as you need. From a recruiting, sourcing and branding perspective these reports have really helped us. For me, the biggest win with GH is the ease of use, and the functionality (including the many customizable features and reports). Well worth whatever investment you are considering, I highly recommend GH for any team.
This is a tough one because I tend not to focus on the negative things (generally), but I'd say the internal job board is not the prettiest? It's not overly exciting for internal employees to browse and check out, so if it's something your company will be using a lot I would just say to prepare to build excitement about internal mobility outside the platform. The price was a bigger commitment than other platforms I've considered in the past, but after having chosen those other platforms and used them for 1+ years, and now the last year in GH, I will say if you can swing it, the investment in GH is well worth it. The tool is honestly stronger than its competitors, so you really do get what you pay for. I know this is a barrier for smaller orgs perhaps, but I would say it's worth it to set your company/recruiting team up for success from day 1.. so if possible find space for the extra spend in your budget.
The biggest problem GH is helping us solve is process management, candidate experience, and interview process alignment. Before having GH (or any platform for that matter) I've worked on teams that did things manually, kept notes in various places, used excel to track candidates... all the things you cringe hearing. GH is a tool that allows our entire hiring team, recruiters, hiring managers, sourcers, coordinators etc to work in one place, and have all the info and answers they need in one place. GH offers tools that simplify our process and ensure we are creating a process that is candidate friendly too -- some of my favourite pieces are the Scorecards we can customize and use in each interview, the pipeline view for each role where you can see exactly how many candidates are in each stage and for how many days, and the reporting on days in stages, time to hire, etc. All of these features have helped ensure we are running the most efficient and effective hiring process possible.
Greenhouse ensures your recruiting process is structured and organized, it helps to align hiring teams and to make well-informed hiring decisions. It is easy to use, user friendly, and fool proof. THe AccountTeam and Support Team are supportive, friendly, knowledgeable, and they respond fast to your inquiries. Greenhouse also provides a lot of content and training opportunities to support your learning journey as a company, if needed.
Scheduling feature could use some more attention, and getting changes or requests on the roadmap could be more transparant. The product is on the high end on pricing and might therefore not fit all companies, which is a shame because it really is a great ATS - based on our requirements, the best ATS.

When I came on board our company was using Greenhouse. This was my first experience with it, and I was able to teach myself how to use it bascially. This ATS is the most user-friendly program on the market.
I have worked with numerous ATS programs and wish Greenhouse offered more options, such as applicant feedback. Also, I would like to see it fill in the gap from recruiter to hiring manager.

The candidate experience, leader visibility, access to data and prebuilt reports, usibility, and cost are all second to none. I have used over a dozen ATS' in my professional career and this one takes the cake. If you ever run into issues, support is offered 24/7 and they walk you through any issues you have 1on1. Hands down the best.
The zoom scheduling has been a problem for us. A lot of interviews missed based on Personal meeting rooms. This created a lot of issues for a short amount of time. To my knowledge it was fixed previously but then after an update it reverted and came back.
They give a ton of time back to me and my team with their automation in candidate messaging, notifications, simplification of processes, reporting, and hiring/onboarding.
