After thorough research to find the perfect DAM tool for our company, I can say that Kontainer has been a great choice! It offers all the essential features we require, and it comes at an affordable price. What's most impressive is how user-friendly the platform is. We effortlessly manage the visual identity for five different brands. Their support team is also a big plus, always available and incredibly helpful. Kontainer has simplified our workflow and already proven to be a valuable asset to our organization.
To enhance user experience, Kontainer could make filters more adaptable to preselected preferences and improve its ability to identify duplicate content during uploads.
Kontainer centralizes our assets, ensuring easy accessibility and well-structured organization, facilitating efficient sharing both internally and externally.
Professional looking and straightforward - we appreciate the ease of use and the flexibility of the platform in general. The tech support team has been responsive and has proven capable of developing custom solutions for our unique use cases.
Site metrics could be more developed - we would like to be able to get more specific information about individual files' views and it's unclear whether this is possible or we just don't use it because it carries an extra charge.
Kontainer has allowed our company to host clients' content in a manner that looks consistent and professional--we build gallery websites for clients to look at virtual content that would otherwise have appeared on our physical product (which we can't really sell at the moment due to the pandemic generally shutting down live events). Even when business returns to normal, I can see us continuing to use Kontainer to host clients' content in a virtual space to supplement our live events.
It is easy to navigate and the layout is the absolute best in its price range, by far!
There are still many updates (which is great) but that also means that things change, which you have to update to.

There are so many benefits to mention abou this software. The functionality is perfect for medium/big sized companies, the pricing is incredible to beat and their attitude to constanly improving their software accoring to customer feedback. Their support/chat is very responsive and helpful.
Kontainer feels like a relatively young company, so their sofware is maybe not as mature as the more high-end/expensive options on the market. This being said, Kontainer has ample functionality available, and is constantly adding new features. The tagging options can sometimes be a bit confusing when trying to set up, but as we have integrated Kontainer with an external PIM system, we only use the basics here.
Kontainer has strong integration possibilities with fx. our PIM system, Perfion. We no longer administer images in PIM, but do it instead in the very user friendly Kontainer interface. Markeintg use Kontainert for all their hi-res images for print and other colleteral, instead of saving images in various local folders/drives. Our external customers now use Kontainer to download our product images for their own print and web material.
Kontainer is exactly what we were looking for in a DAM system. Within one click only we now find the exact content that we're are looking for (instead of clicking endlessly through folders in google drive). The design also looks great as we could flawlessly integrate our brand identity. Lastly, there are so many customizations possible (and easy to apply thanks to the great support offered) that we could perfectly mold Kontainer in the way we like it.
Certain functionalities (such as downloading pictures with a watermark on it) that we wanted arent available yet and would need to be custom built. Which has a price tag that we cannot afford at the moment.
Before, our content was stored in dozens of google drive folders and hard to find. Now we can easily access (literally within one click) all our content by using specific search filters and tags. We also added a brand portal that included logo's, fonts and more for our partners, which works flawlessly. Lastly we now have better overview in who we give access to which files, which was hard to do in Google Drive.
We really struggled to find a DAM tool that looked like they can be accessed by anyone without significant training. Kontainer changed that for us. It's simple to create user groups and invite them without asking them to sign up themselves, and it's simple to share these files to clients without any explanation. It's the simplicity that really made this product go far for us. However, there are some tools that really make this product go beyond what was expected for such a tool: - A 30-day free trial with a lot of features included which gives us a real sense of how it can be utilised. - A built-in photo cropping tool, giving the designers some free time. - Download templates, to give people the choice of changing the format of the image - CDN enabled for every item - built in video and PDF viewer - .PSD and .AI files can be viewed without Adobe Creative Cloud installed - Clear and competitive pricing from the start Above all else however, the team at Kontainer really made us feel at home with them. It never seemed like they were too busy for us, always available to answer our questions and provide us with support. They also update Kontainer regularly with useful features, even features that we have requested only recently. They are definitely a driven team, this software can only get better.
There's only a few things that can make Kontainer better in my view. Firstly, we would appreciate any kind of newsletter just to outline any upcoming features or news about the team at Kontainer, which I feel would help us when we make our own decisions when using the tool. Secondly, we would love to be able to upload and save over files via the Adobe Plugin. Sometimes we wish to make a quick change without having to upload then delete a file, especially when it's a file like a monthly review chart. I do know that version control is in the works, however, which is awesome! Of course, there are other features that I would love to have, but would probably require a lot more development time. e.g, a pinned 'important' file at the top of a folder, a stylesheet page, and multiple instances of the same collection. It would really push Kontainer to incredible standards however!
Our biggest issue was losing files in amongst our sea of assets, and regular audits were required just to make sure things were kept updated within our websites, publications and social media channels. Kontainer has made all of this so much easier to manage, using tagging and collections. We can tag all of our assets that will require updates so that we're always in the loop when a change happens. There is also a feature where you can expire assets if we request it, which comes at a fair price. Tagging has worked for us so far, however! Uploading all of these assets meant that the wider business always has easy access to our files and knows when to use them with the descriptions that we have added. Sure, everyone has a company drive with access to files, but searching through them is always a pain. Kontainer almost makes searching fun.
We offer links to the Kontainer which allow us to examine the edition of the file and ensure that probably the latest files are actually downloaded and not outdated. This's a great benefit compared to a much better business as a full. Kontainer is really simple to work with and configure, making it easier for our staff to work with contractors. An additional advantage is the fact that Kontainer makes it very easy to move between home and work, making home working really easy.
The cost is a little high for the use of ours. Although it's perfect for all sizes of gear, it's made for a big group of owners at an inexpensive value.
We are able to arrange, use or share the resources of ours at a high quality when compared with other systems. It is then simple to share the resources of ours with external partners as well as allows the staff of ours to quickly restore necessary files when they're necessary. This saves us a great deal of time.

Kontainer is a vital part of our PIM setup, as all Perfion assets are stored in Kontainer. Furthermore Kontainer we use Konnainer for public files where customers and others can access files.
