Kraken Reviews: 3.9/5 — Good for the Price

It is now nearly two years ever since I implemented Kraken. Prior to this tool, I was using LocalBitcoins which was full of fraudsters. With Kraken, I am able to trade (buy and sell) bitcoins. It has an iOS mobile application which is easy to use and has clean UI interface.

Kraken offers low market value for Ethereum (ETH) compared to Coinbase Exchange.

It help me trade over 150 digital assets and offers multi-currencies from EUR, USD, GBH, CAD to AUD. It makes it a breeze to trade cryptocurrencies in real-time.

Easy to setup account and purchase crypto. It allows you to purchase and export to a wallet easily. Very fast transactions

Requires a lot of documentation, but nothing too complicated. Everything worked as intended. It has a learning curve but nothing too difficult.

Kraken is the best place to trade crypto with your business.

The platform has a variety of crypto tokens to select, giving a client more options. The platform also offers high-level security through a well-organized and systematic verification process with a two-factor authenticator (2FA) security feature.

The fees are relatively high if compared with Binance or Nexo. They also take time to enlist new coins on the platform, which makes clients feel they lose out on tokens that have sudden bull runs.

Security of digital assets. Easy transfer of tokens across wallets. I am learning about new tokens, navigating the different crypto platforms, and how they work. My skills of using platforms such as Kraken have greatly improved, given that the crypto space is relatively new to me.

Kraken is user-friendly and straightforward full of innovative tools for crypto lovers ,It supports most of tokens and cryptos also the verification takes less than 4 mins that's awesome also monitoring the assets us easy on Kraken .

I am so sad to see it doesn't support BNB which is one of the most popular crypto these days , I still can't figure out why some apps don't use specific tokens ans crypto but BNB is a must hope they can add it soon .

I use Kraken to deposite , buy , sell and convert cryptocurrency it also helps me to monitor the changes and see the updates through its beautiful UI which is so smooth .

I've tried a number of image optimization services and options. Kraken is the best of them all. I love how they have the option to retroactively optimize images.

I don't have any complaints about Kraken at all, to be honest. Great service, excellent interaction with WordPress (which is how I use it), reasonable cost, and their website interface is super easy to navigate.

It's dramatically increased the loading time of a number of website projects. It's incredibly convenient for my clients, as we have image uploads set to automatically optimize images. Very easy to use, with a powerful impact.

Kraken has been great when compared to other exchanges I have used. There is plenty of volume to ensure that you will be able to execute orders and unlike others the orders actually go through when submitted. They have been doing upgrades to the platform over the last few years since 2018 that have significantly increased the reliability of the platform. This has increased confidence in high volume order times significantly.

The only negative I have is last year the platform was down for around 2 weeks while doing maintenance. This was just simply too long. (2018). Looking at 2020 there have not been any issues with the platform so far. The only issue I had was getting approved for a higher level on my account due to a glitch on the site. It was an easy fix where you just had to email support.

Provide the opportunity to invest in cryptocurrency easily.

The integration with trade.kraken.com is fairly straight-forward; though using the features does take a bit of getting used to. However, with a simple 5:1 margin ability - the effort is worth it.

Kraken could benefit from the addition of some of the more advanced trade types, such as trailing stops and price-based stop-limit margin orders.

Kraken is a simple platform and easy to understand - whether you're new or old user. Kraken's support team really helped us with a lot issues and problems - quick responses, deep understanding. Kraken supports USD and EUR currencies - there are few crypto exchanges that supports fiat money, and if they are - they support only USD and not USD&EUR.

Often, the list of the live orders got stuck, after refreshing it with CTRL+F5 its working again. Kraken doesn't have a mobile application. Kraken has small amount of crypto assets to trade (comparing to other cryptocurrencies markets).

Kraken supports USD and also EUR currencies (deposit, withdraw and also USD/EUR markets for direct tradings) - this is really meaningful and assits us - as a company with variety customers. Kraken is a stable & reliable platform, as a business with a lot of tradings - we are looking for these advantages rather than good design or UI solutions.

Pretty good trading fees - the maximum fees is between 0.16% to 0.26% - for the lowest value trading. Kraken supports fiat money (USD/EUR) - you are able to deposit fiat money and even trade with it in the USD/EUR markets. whenever you want - you also able to withdraw your USD/EUR back to your credit card/bank account. Proffesional design and user interface - it is very simple but looks very good for my opinion.

Most of the time, Kraken's support team takes a lot of time to response to our problems. Withdraw to Mastercard takes longer to Visa card, i have checked it in several accounts in our company.

Buy and sell cryptocurrencies in the USD/EUR markets - for our company it's much easier and cheaper than trading in BTC/ETH markets. In our business, we see Kraken platform as a steady and reliable platform. We are customers of Kraken for almost 3 continuous years.

Kraken provides access to the widest range of tokens and is accessible globally. Many other exchanges either do not have the range of tokens or are limited in access based on geographic scope.

In the early days, Kraken was sluggish and had high latency. This however has improved substantially over the years. I use to encounter issues with the site lagging or crashing probably due to scale at the time but as said this has come a huge way since then.

Initially I did not like that there was no app, but now I see there is a new phone app available! There is a sequence and process to setting up an account, but once you complete it, you're set.

I was able to transfer cryptocurrency from a paper wallet to my Kraken account to be prepared to sell it when I am ready. With so many cryptocurrency trading platforms now available, it's important to choose one that is secure and reputable.

Kraken was one of the first platforms I've used for trading cryptocurrency. I liked how it feels professional to use and looks like a safe trusted platform. The security aspect was pretty solid, with 2FA and different level of identity authentication and different daily limits and fees.

The fees could be a little high and the transactions did not go through very quickly. There was a lag and a lack of volatility and volume when I was using the platform, so a maker deal would not succeed every time. The authentication and limit setup took a while, and it involved many security measures including providing social security to get a higher limit. I didn't feel very comfortable doing that, but on the other side of the same coin, that allowed for more security. There were also a lot of trading pairs, not just between USD and other cryptocurrencies, but even between some other fiat currencies.

I was able to trade cryptocurrency on with the Kraken platform. They offers many services on top of buying and selling. They offer margins too, so it is a relatively professional site for people to get into cryptocurrency trading.

The best bitcoin exchange is needed for serious and professional bitcoin traders. Bitcoin security must be impeccable. Banking relationships must be sound and reliable. The trading engine must be fast. Order types must be advanced. And profits must be able to be multiplied with Bitcoin margin trading so you can leverage long bitcoin positions or short bitcoin positions.

Bitcoin is on it's way out. Hopefully they are going to transition to the new chain money optimization.

This allows us to use bitcoin as a payment option. With Kraken you can just exchange your coins as well as taking a long or short position.

Kraken has everything the most serious crypto trader could look for. The whole design of Kraken just screams hardcore. It has short selling and margin trading which is absolutely huge for those in North America that don't have other options. It also has lower transaction fees than most major exchanges.

The worst thing about Kraken has to be either its extremely tough user interface, or its absurd security system. Right off the bat when you go on Kraken everything just looks really complicated. The charts aren't smooth like on other exchanges, the font is very lackluster and the details of everything are just presented very weak. It is as if the platform laid out all its details through a document service where everything looks basic and is in Times New Roman. The security part is extremely frustrating too because it is extremely easy for your account to get locked. It happened with mine where I accidentally typed in the wrong password twice then my account got temporarily locked. I then had to go through support just to have them tell me because I had a "generic username" that bots could easily access it and therefore it will continue to be temporarily locked.

Kraken has allowed for the usage of margin trading for North Americans.

Kraken is one of the most established cryptocurrency exchanges. They are known for their security and as a result were selected to be the MT gox trustee. They have the highest volume of BTC/Euro of any exchange which gives them incredibly high volume and liquidity.

I love the exchange, but I wish I could buy more coins there.

Being the highest volume BTC/EURO is a major advantage for me and my company.

Kraken prides itself on being one of the most secure crypto exchanges for good reason. They have the highest volume of BTC/Euro of any exchange.

They should list more coins. Currently there are only about 20 listed.

I utilize Kraken to trade cryptocurrencies without having to convert to/from fiat.

Kraken platform supports fiat money - you are able to deposit USD or EUR and even trade with USD/EUR markets (buy crypto assets directly from the fiat money you deposited), you also able to withdraw this fiat money directly to your bank account / credit card. Kraken stay updated all the time with listing new crypto assets - that is good for Kraken loyal traders.

Kraken support section is messy for my opinion, everything is looks the same and the links provided there are not truly helpful. The convertion rate is a little bit high comparing to other exchanges. The Kraken platform's design looks old and is still the same for many years.

Trade crypto assets with 2 different fiat money - USD and EUR (in the USD/EUR markets) - this is one of Kraken's advantages comparing the most of the other crypto trading platforms. Kraken platform makes it easy on us with the 'History' page - it is very organized and help us track our buy/sell trades.

Very bad mobile user experience. The website is not responsive and it's pretty much unreadable on smartphones. The website has serious design issues which will ultimately negatively impact user growth & retention. Trading options are limited because of few trading pairs available for trade. It could be very expensive to deposit US dollars.

I Kraken to take advantage of price variations on markets. There's instances where certain coins are cheaper to trade acquire on Kraken. It makes perfect sense to acquire them on Kraken and then transfer on other exchanges/platforms
