The Pulley team was and has been very responsive and timely when exploring and setting the app up. When you get to an item on your checklist, it was such a relief that I did not have to wait days for a reply. The team asked for access to specific documents from my team and set us up right away. I canceled a contract to switch over to Pulley. It's true; people buy from people, and this team is top-notch!
I do not dislike anything; The Pulley team made themselves available to my availability. One request I do have is a Cap Table Resource Center for us first-time founders. This is all very new, and I may not have time to jump on a call during business hours, but I would absolutely like a forum or documents explaining the in's and out's of cap tables.
We are managing our Cap Table. I have a real-time view of my current business. It has been one less thing to take away my time when communicating with our legal team regarding onboarding, off-boarding, or investing.
Very easy for stakeholders to access information about the company and view the cap table according to the company policy. Very intuitive and we were able to get up and running in just a few hours.
I can't say anything bad about Pulley in general.
We are confident that our cap table is being managed correctly to avoid issues with fundraising down the line.
The Easy to use the tool. The team that works with you and the 409a Valuations.
Nothing the tool is fantastic. The team is great.
409A valuation and our company cap table management.
The interface, the support and the explanations in front of terms that are not commonly known by a starting Entrepreneur.
I would love to have even more explanations on the different stock options, etc.
There is more clarity with who owns what shares, and the ease of use helps a lot.
Pulley has a very user friendly interface!
At the moment, the product does not come with as many add-on services as competitors, but they're quickly building it out!
Pulley helps me to organize my cap table, and model conversion scenarios.
The UX/UI is phenomenal. You just cannot even compare it to Carta because the UI is so much better. The platform is incredibly easy to use and understand, and the customer support team is very responsive and helpful.
It is a little expensive; however the team was willing to work with us.
It allows us to manage our investors and all of the fundraising documents, allows us to easily and seamlessly get 409A valuations, and my favorite part is the Fundraising Modeling that helps predict dilution.
Awesome to see them handle all my cap table management needs + additional areas like 409a valuation. Support has been super responsive and extremely helpful. Was deciding between Pulley and Carta - Pulley was an easy win. Speed - onboarding was done in 24 hours Support - Responded within minutes. Didn't send us to a boilerplate FAQ but actually helped get me all set up and answered all my questions
Maybe more tool tips / descriptions on the forms? Overall, it's been a breeze so far and haven't seen anything I dislike yet.
Migrate off messy Google Sheets for cap table management. Peace of mind knowing everything is squared away in Pulley. Also, helped with our 409A valuation - that was super easy to do straight from the dashboard
The Pulley Team is the new standard for exceptionalism. In addition to being peerless subject matter experts, the Pulley Team is relentlessly and uncompromisingly committed to customer satisfaction. The Pulley Application is devastatingly effective and covers an expanse of functionality that is impressive beyond words. There is no question that Pulley is THE leader in their category and their growth will be meteoric.
NO downside - as in absolutely NONE! The Pulley Team and App are a comet shooting due north in terms of value! I did not find any issues; in fact, seemingly every DAY new features and functions were being added. It is the equivalent of "receiving a bonus" every time you log in. Clearly Pulley's engineers are working VERY hard to not only create a bulletproof system but also are "listening to input" from customers. Truly admirable - using Amazon like parlance, it is 'Day One' EVERY day at Pulley.
Our corporate governance was an EXTREME scenario - nearly a dozen friends and family agreements and four levels of SAFE Agreements. Pulley barely had exert itself to convert the "extreme" into an ideal, best-in-class cap table! This truly was epic and, candidly stated, I did have my doubts prior to using Pulley that ANY system in the world could handle the sophistication required by our situation.
The smooth onboarding and product updates
They don't yet calculate stock-based comp
Accurate, easy cap table management
Fairly simple captable management for early teams and hands on support
It addressed all our use cases. We didn't find anything to dislike
Captable management, issuing esops and 409a
Great graphs, easy to use, replace Carta
Cant solve my legal problems yet. Would love to have it run my company's recruiting.
Great cap table management, future fundraising projections, and financial planning.
I love the feature for fundraising modeling
You can't delete equity plans, sometimes the fundraising modeling tool doesn't work
We are learning a lot about the underlying mechanics of our cap table and also sharing with prospects investors as part of our data-room
Pulley has made it very simple to keep my entire cap table organized. I use it to sync with my lawyers and employees - we are all on the same page when it comes to vesting options, investor ownership, etc.
I have nothing to complain about so far.
I ditched my spreadsheet and keep track of our entire cap table in one easy to use location.
I don't have time to learn the ins and outs of cap tables and 409A evals and Pulley makes it so I don't have to. Great customer success and response time. I can offload everything to them and not have to worry about it.
Nothing so far - we've been using them since the beginning of the year (6 months)
409A Evals that don't cost a ton of money, Cap table mgmt that doesn't cost a lot of money Not having the time to deal with the details
Pulley is one of the most founder-friendly captable management softwares. Their 409A valuation pricing was also quite reasonable and the service was quick too.
Nothing that I can think of. It's quite amazing
We're using pulley primarily to model fundraising scenarios, and look at the effect of option pools as well.
I like the projected dilution calculator! The team is also amazing and super responsive.
Onboarding was a bit tough since this was my first time managing a cap table...ever, but Fil was very helpful! I don't think this is a flaw in the product and moreso just my initial lack of understanding on how to do everything.
I need a way to manage my cap table.
Their support really is first class. I can ask them any question, and they really do respond in real time almost immediately. No emails back and forth, redirection to pointless FAQs etc. Pulley’s legal team is amazing!
Pulley is not a transfer agent and could not support us at IPO today.
Cap table management and 409A valuations
Lots of things — Onboarding - Pulley took care of the onboarding process and I didn’t need to do anything. This was in contrast to my past experience of taking months to onboard a relatively simple cap table. Export - Their download cap table feature is great. It's fast and makes it easy for me to share my cap table with investors. My lawyers have signed off on the cap table Employee experience - Employees have found the experience of exercising options on Pulley straightforward. If they have any questions, I also know they will be taken care of through support. Pricing is clear - I never knew what I was paying for with Carta. Their growth plan especially is all encompassing - includes board approvals, exercising options, 409A valuations.
A few questions popped up during onboarding. But they were generally fixed pretty quickly.
Pulley makes equity management straightforward. It's been really great having them alongside me as my company grows. They are my own 'cap table experts'. Very responsive. If you want clarity on your cap table, go with Pulley.
I've only used Pulley a few times and I do really enjoy the Platform. They're are a lot of good things about the platform. The workflows are pretty user friendly and even though they don't have a direct phone number they're always very responsibe and helpful.
I don't dislike anything really about Pulley.
CTM management.
As a small & learn team, we need to move quickly to resolve our employee's needs around equity and comp. Pulley makes it super simple and easy to find what I need, and get my team answers when they need it. It's also surprisingly powerful, and isn't as "lightweight" as I thought when first signing up. The best part of my experience with Pulley has been with their support team, who is responsive, helpful, and willing to jump in to solve specific hardstops I encounter. They work with their own engineering team to resolve issues for me on the backend within hours. It's really been a great experience.
Pulley probably maxes out if you have a highly complex equity plan that requires a lot of edge-case handling. Fortunately, that's not us, but I would imagine you may need a more robust solution at 500+ employees.
Pulley helps us effectively manage our equity, allows employees to self-serve questions about their equity, and get fast and easy board approvals.
