I manage all our recorded videos and staying it confidential.
Nothing so far. It works well with my job.
Everyone can watch as per their preferences.
We use Vimeo's API which has proven to be robust enough for our business needs. Our favorite feature is the detailed analytics we can get on each viewer who views the video.
We put a lot of videos into Vimeo and we've found it hard to organize them in a way that makes them easy to find when accessing them via the website. However, since we primarily use the API, this isn't a big ussue.
We wanted to have a seamless way to display user-generated videos onto our platform as well as obtain analytics on who viewed those videos. It was also important that the API was extremely stable.
The platform is easy to use. Plus, it continues to grow. There is ample storage, easy video sharing and review features, plus you can now do simple cuts in your videos.
The team is constantly listening to customers and making improvements. I have no dislikes.
Vimeo makes it easy for us to share both draft videos as well as finished products. Plus it serves as a library where we can store and share lots of our videos.
The embedding features are extremely customizable. We can make the video player our own color, add our own logo and even control what happens after a video is complete.
It's tough to find something to complain about. If I have to choose something I would say being able to display a GIF as a preview would be super helpful when displaying our content online for reference.
We use the software to send videos to customers for review and the note feature is HUGE for us. It allows our customers to not only make requests, but to attach them to specific time stamps throughout the video.
Vimeo is very simple to use with all of the options you could need. We mostly use this platform to RTMP stream into other platforms and to host videos. It's great for both uses!
I really don't have any complaints about Vimeo! It's well designed, simple, and does what it's intended to do. There have been a few situations where we are trying to host some videos and it's difficult to figure out the setting to make private, public, etc., but overall it works great and does everything you could want it to.
We mostly use Vimeo to push RTMP streams to our virtual event platforms. It's great that it can record the video as we get many client requests for the streams post-event.
I like that it's easy to use and learn, requiring very little to understand usage
At the moment, I do not have anything I don't like about it
Uploading videos; it's an all in one solution, I don't need to save my videos in different places
We use Vimeo to mainly embed our videos on our website, the easy drag and drop and ease of use is what appeals to us the most
It is sometimes fiddly to get make the videos have the correct look and feel in terms of branding and colours.
We can quickly upload videos from our virtual or physical events that we have created and then embed onto our website in a matter of minutes sometimes.
I love using Vimeo, but my favorite thing about it is that you can upload as many videos as you would like. I switched to them from youtube and did not like that youtube makes you wait 24 hours each time you upload many videos; Vimeo does not make you do that.
There is nothing I have found that I don't like about Vimeo. It has been great so far.
As I stated before, you can upload as many videos as you want to Vimeo without having to wait a certain amount of time.
It is easy to upload videos to your account, organize them, and set privacy settings. With the Pro or above accounts, you can set it so videos can only be embedded on certain domains.
It may not be cost effective for you if you don't have many videos and don't need branding or privacy settings for your particular situation.
We use Vimeo for simple online hosting of videos for courses and promotional videos for websites. We organize into folders and set permissions accordingly. Team access is configured so it is easy to keep videos in the right place and anyone can upload them after a recording that needs to be placed on the website. Every player is on-brand so we still look great and profession image is preserved.
We loved that this was a place we could host password protected videos to be shared with some of our partners. It took us a while to find a solution to fit our needs and this was perfect.
There is nothing we disliked about the platform. It suited all our needs.
We had a lot of training videos that needed a place to be hosted, but also not open for just anyone to access. These videos were sent to partners easily through the vimeo link and were password protected which was huge for us. This made it easy to host/send all our training in one place.
I like that I can replace videos with current versions.
There is not much I dislike! This website does everything I need it to.
We like to Livestream with it. I like that it is compatible with many different sites.
Uploading content is so fast and easy. And very user friendly
The interface is a bit confusing when they change the interface
video with embed capability
Easy to use and upload videos. Being able to download videos and share them is really handy.
Sometimes it's hard to figure out settings for security and embedding the videos.
Sharing videos internally or with clients.
The ease of uploading our sermons from our Sunday services. It is very quick upload process and works well as cross functioning with other software we use.
I am not sure there is anything that we dislike of the service.
This gives us a central place to upload all of our messages. We no longer has to have a dedicated hard drive to save all sermons in house.
Vimeo is as intuitive as it should be - you simply drag and drop files to upload videos, and from there can easily rename, change thumbnail, change privacy settings, and share very quickly and easily.
There's not much - virtually everything I've needed to use Vimeo for has been accommodated by the platform.
We often clip segments from TV to share with our clients, who may not always have access to other internal fileshare programs we use (e.g. Box). Vimeo allows us to upload and store all our clips in one central location, while being able to share with clients and requiring a password that we can set so any private materials aren't at risk.
Vimeo has all of the convenience of YouTube without as much of the ads and craziness that you get on YouTube. The streaming quality is clear and the presentation is much better than that of YouTube.
This is likely due to my home Wifi, but sometimes the videos load slowly.
I have watched documentaries for work on Vimeo that are not yet released to the public so you either need the link or a password to see the video. I also use Vimeo to stream workouts. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my workout studio has been closed and has used Vimeo to share videos instead.
I like the variety of videos I am able to access on Vimeo. I show a lot of videos and clips which I cannot always find elsewhere and the quality and accessibility on Vimeo is good. I think this will be another good tool in the distance learning tool box. I am always seeking new ways to connect with my students.
We've had some issues with the "not appropriate for classroom" thumbnails/videos which show up. Sometimes, if I am projecting a video, or getting it set up, I'll notice something which is not appropriate for me to have onscreen below the one I am pulling up. I am not super comfortable linking Vimeo out to my students knowing that's there.
I have found access to documentaries and even some network shows which are perfect for my Sociology and Psychology classes. The stream is usually very good. If we have problems streaming, we can usually solve that with a quick refresh. I am interested in using the livestream feature. I will use that during this pandemic. I didn't know this was available. I also have had some buffering issues.
I love the Vimeo staff picks on the front page. The curation is so good and spot on I know I can find something good. Also had a problem recently and was shocked how fast the Vimeo team responded and helped me through it.
There is very little I dislike. Maybe just a complaint that streaming seems slower compared to YouTube on slower connections.
We use it for file transfer between us and customers who are looking to screen films. It’s so much easier compared to Dropbox. It’s both cheaper and easier for our customers to use. We also have so many options with adding in .srt files and everything.
There's YouTube and then there is Vimeo - it feels like two very separate places to house your creative content. As a film/tv producer, this just attracts more of the audience I'm looking for when sharing my videos.
Even with the professional version, it's very easy to reach the upload capacity too quickly - this is a problem when you house a lot of content on Vimeo for clients to review.
This is a one place site for all of my video content for my business. It allows my clients to find videos either publicly or privately in an online environment that feels more private/prestigious than YouTube. This feels like it was made for filmmakers, as opposed to YouTube influencers/bloggers.
Vimeo is widely used for live-streaming video and also online video playing application like You-tube. We are using Vimeo at our company for surfing video on our client's websites so that customers of that websites can play and watch video through vimeo very effectively and smoothly. Overall Vimeo is very clean with minimal controls and efficient video player. It helps developers like us a lot by creating a effective HTML tag by using this tag in website code we can directly give link to that video. Vimeo account creation is also very easy and within 1-2 minutes you're able to create account.
Despite the limitation of size of video that we upload on vimeo server, I just love the vimeo.
At our company, we are using vimeo for our clients and we suggest them to upload their video content on vimeo server. If vimeo was not available then we always need to buy server and then process that server and make it capable of handling and playing video at customer's need and this could be so hectic and highly expensive to handle.
