Vyond is a video creation platform that enables you to create quick videos for a variety of applications. I have used Vyond on and off for the last four years and continue to be amazed at how easily I'm able to build videos that suit my needs using their templates or building my own from scratch. They currently offer three character sets that make it possible for you to customize your video and achieve just the right look and feel - AND the ability to create your own characters in each of these sets (so if you were creating a series of videos and needed a consistent narrator or spokesperson, you can use the same created character over and over). You can import your own assets and use your own corporate colors to brand your videos as needed. The text-to-speech feature works pretty well and can be used as a placeholder or outright, as offerings for voices have improved significantly over the past two years and there are several now that don't sound like they are computer-generated. Background music and sound effects are also part of the Vyond "package" and can be used to take your videos to the next level. Vyond consistently offers "office hours" and webinars to learn more about features or have your most niggling question answered. They add features, characters, props, etc. all the time and it's easy to find and use what's new. There is also a robust user community where you can share any pain points or get advice on how to create different effects in your video, and the community is also moderated by Vyond employees who also will contribute their expertise from time to time.

My biggest complaint about Vyond is the inability to edit colors on some props, lack of gifs to use within videos (there are some, but not a lot), and the difficulty in finding objects that will "mask" appropriately. I create a lot of whiteboard explainer-type videos and sometimes trying to mask a character to a certain shape is difficult. I don't always want a picture frame - sometimes I just need a talking head. While the expanded voiceover options are nice, there are still too many voices that sound computer-generated, so I tend to use the same voice over and over, which makes my videos a little one-note. There are voiceover programs available on the web that allow you to tell the generator how to emphasize certain words, but you can't do that with Vyond's text-to-speech, so I find myself trying to type phoenetically but that doesn't always work either. For final, polished videos, I think you're still better off importing either another CG voice or live recording - both of which you can do in Vyond. Of note is that Vyond is currently expanding their offerings to include AI video production. It's currently offered in only one of the character sets, and it's the one I'm least likely to use. It is only in beta and from the one video I produced as a test, it missed a lot of the content from my uploaded PowerPoint, but did capture the essence and spirit of what I was attempting to accomplish. I know that there is more to come on this front and if it improves as quickly as the master product has, Vyond will have another winner on their hands.

Vyond helps me create teaser videos, explainer videos, and microlearning in a very short time frame. I can conceptualize and draft an entire video in half a day(ish) or use their templates to create something to start with in an even shorter timeframe. This product is so easy to use it saves me significant time in making effective videos that suit my needs and the needs of my organization. Vyond is also innovating in the world of AI, enabling me to create videos (of a talking head or people having a conversation about a topic) from a PowerPoint or Word document. While this is still in Beta, and didn't capture all of my content, it's a promising start which allowed me to take the AI video and open in the regular Vyond editor to expand where I needed to and cut what I didn't. HUGE time saver as the "conversation" included character close-ups, pans, and other video "tricks" that made the videos more engaging and watchable.

I find Vyond easy to use. The software has a relativity short learning curve. There is large variety of character pre-set animations available. Character styles and features are easy to swap such as hair eyes, clothes etc. Easily translate on-screen text and text to voice to many different languages. Ability to brand colors from scenes and characters.

You can’t change a body type once you’ve built a custom character. Required to start all over by choosing the body type first and then building the character.. For the Business friendly character style, character expressions remain neutral at the end of the voice over. At times previews can be slow to get going. Some of the background scenes don’t allow you change all of the colors Would like to see more options and animation pre-sets for the props I would like see a more sophisticated character style become available that are similar to many of the explainer videos on the internet. Organization of uploaded assets. If would be nice to have the ability to create individual folders for projects. The ability to edit a character without having to create a duplicate of the character when making a change to its features. Preset Text animations would be a nice to have feature

I can make characters that look very similar to our staff.

They need to add more hairstyles as choices.

I don't have to spend as much time on training and on-boarding. The content is quickly and easily reviewed and retained. In addition, the staff is highly entertained by the animated characters, and they look for themselves in the videos.

Great animated video's with audio synch to keep your audio engaged.

I wouldn't say that I dislike this, but would love more templates and examples from other customers.

It makes creating content and adding audio much quicker and easier so I can meet my deadlines.

Vyond is easy to use. New user can pick up the program in no time.

Not having markers in the timeline. This would assist in placing objects when you want them to appear.

From my perspective, it would be the cost...

I just started my YouTube Channel in november 2022. I didn't want to show my face and needed some tool to produce my content. It's about Economics, so I needed a very easy to use, fancy and resourceful tool. That is Vyond.

Vyond is so easy to learn and use. There are lots of choices to choose from in their library of templates, characters, and backgrounds and it makes animation creation a breeze to put together. They are constantly adding to their library as well, with new scenes, characters or props. Whether working individually or in a team, Vyond is an invaluable tool for bringing ideas to life through engaging animations.

I would love for Vyond to have interactivity capabilities embedded within the software itself. Other than that, I can't think of anything I dislike about Vyond.

A college environment has a wide array of people to target for communications. Vyond, through animated videos, allows me to target both staff and students for various topics. We also have large screens throughout the college, and Vyond allows for many of our tv ads on campus.

It's so easy to use! The user interface is really intuitive and simple to understand and there are so many customisable options! I don't think you'd be able to find an easier product to use!

There really isn't anything I dislike! I suppose if I was being super critical, it'd be really helpful if I could copy and paste my static characters into other software rather than having to export each time but that's a minor point.

It's really useful to create really engaging and fun learning solutions in my role. It's so much simpler and quicker to use than other solutions on the market and it therefore makes me more productive.

I love that people engage with the content that I create on Vyond. I get requests to create "one of my videos" to explain sticky topics.

It's time-consuming to create things sometimes, but - you gotta put the work in to create something wonderful!

Vyond has changed a lot over the years and I see that the team is often addressing issues that people struggle with. I can replace assets easily and can create characters more quickly than before now.
