I really like the simplitity of algolia. It is easy to use and implement in various scenarios.

Now, after using Algolia for some time, there isn't much that I don't like. But one thing was a bit confusing at first for me: The Unit system. It was first hard to understand for me, that these units are used for both search querys and index records. Maybe a bit clearer description would be helpful there.

The biggest benefit I have over other solutions (for example ElasticSearch) is, that there are official, first-party search UI frameworks. Others have something simmilar as well, but by far not so feature rich. Especially React InstantSearch was a big time saver implementing search in our project.

Algolia offers detailed documentation on every topic of its API and modules for all popular JS frameworks, making it clear to implement and fun to work with.

The learning curve can be a little steep in the beginning, especially when you have a non-default use-case.

Implementing fast and reliable search in any webapplication. It is great for anything ranging from e-commerce search or niche usecases like hashtag autocompletion.

I was searching for a fast module that could easily integrate with my personal React-GatsbyJs website, that could integrate with Contentful and update searchable material via webhooks; Gatsby docs make the overall process easy for me and for my development team, in addiction Algolia platform is easy to use and it's the best described module to integrate.

I don't find many dislikes about Algolia, because the Free tier is made for someone like me.

One of the qualities that stands out the most about the functionalities of this software is its extensive search speeds, which are extremely fast, which allows better management when conducting these investigations, in order to guarantee productivity, when we go to time that we use to determine a factor found through this very innovative and efficient system, without excluding that it maintains an incredible technical support team, so that all users can solve their problems or doubts presented in this server, in a fast way, with quality and very surprising, in its response time.

We can consider that it is very difficult to scale the product in a straight line, for a simpler and more direct knowledge, when we are going to use this software, since its functionalities are somewhat steep and difficult to understand, because its complex determinations are they are extensive and require a prudent and advanced understanding to start operating this system in its entirety, without excluding that it is divided into different functional packages, and most of them are very expensive.

We use Algolia throughout our organization, for a fundamental objective, which is to promote the searches that all our registered users to the platforms we have, in other words, it should be noted that we take advantage of the speed and efficiency that this software offers to improve in large quantities the experience of each of the operators who navigate through the instances that we maintain at our own disposal, mainly when it comes to searching for different types of records.

The best available solution to configure the search. Algolia presents visual search results that are attractive as well as being very fast in terms of displaying search results. The dashboard is very modern, like the brand, and offers a fairly comprehensive analysis. It is very easy to configure.

There are some limitations on the size of the record and the size of the facet. It also doesn't allow you to test based on the hypothetical user's geographic location, the price can go up very quickly if the outbound subscription is exceeded, it doesn't support too many advanced skills either.

The benefits are a great user experience in terms of performance and prioritization of results. It has great customization features and that greatly helps board advisers to manage accounts. With Algolia we solve the problem of returning the appropriate combination in minutes, it has allowed us to index their respective data for each user so that they can obtain fast results.

Facet filter feature is the best that Algolia provides out of the box. Searches are very swift and I like the feature a lot. Facet filters are useful when we have categorised search. Like how Algolia provides suggestions even in its settings page while typing out the keys for a record Awesome and Intelligent

Algolia matches sub-string by default, if there was an option to match query with a full word or a sub-string that would be great, this would give developers the power to flip the option on or off depending on a condition programatically. I would like to see this feature in near future, and can't wait to implement it. I hope that I am notified about the addition of this feature via mail when it is added

Scalable: It has the capacity to hold from 1 to many records (tested with catalog size of 100000 products) Easy to integrate: For many e-commerce platforms, it comes with a plugin which is super easy to configure. Search modification: You can define the synonyms and check the empty search results for which customers are looking for on your store. Redirection: You can use the redirection rule to move user to a particular page on a search for a particular search keyword.

Higher Pricing: Recently there is a change in the pricing model which I think might not be liked by many small business owners.

Compare to the default search / other search engines, the experience of integrating Algolia was smooth. It is also very fast in terms of showing search results. The indexes are really powerful and get updated really quickly. No matter, how many numbers of products your store having, Algolia's performance does not get down. We have implemented it in different size projects from low traffic to heavy traffic and the results are amazing. The good thing here is that if you have storefronts like Magento or Shopify, or many big names, algolia provides easy plugins which can help to integrate your store faster.

I like that it is very easy to use and add information, the interface is easy to use, and the documentation is clear. I really cannot say that there is a disadvantage, it provides practically everything we need, it may happen that there is a need for a greater degree of customization, also it lacks instructional videos, which is necessary and a bit complicated. Can be very expensive, especially if you need to search all environments.

My experience has been very positive and productive, creating real-time search interfaces is incredible. It is the great tool that can help improve your website's search capabilities as well as save a lot of time by not having to manage anything related to search. Easy integration with existing Firebase app. The documentation was very easy to read and fortunately, there were good stack overflow answers that helped with fine details integrating the app with our backend . The docs are a great way to explore some features of Algolia search. Of course, the app's speed was far superior to the search feature in Firebase.

Some of the API is difficult to use with Java applications. It's easier to use the project if you use Node or Javascript. I would prefer having more documentation and user support/examples for Java programs. Also, it was difficult to tell whether the app's speed was only because of the relatively small datasets we used for our app's prototypes. If there was an easier way to measure the metric and intelligently improve our overall speed, that would help as we scale up our user-base.

Making our app's search functionality faster. We were able to add a fine grained search capability to the app easily with Algolia. We had to use more Node to implement full integration with our app and this ended up making our development easier.

Algolia just work perfectly, there is almost nothing to say: - easy to install - teams are helpful and reactivate - integration is very easy and bring a kind of professionalism to your website very easily

Improve user experience like never! Really fast for my users and easy to integrate for my developers

Having a predefined library of frontend components was key to choosing Algolia for our main search functionality. Having example components to work from or extend for my use was incredibly helpful for building a search interface fast. We managed to build a series of pages without Algolia... and the day before launch we decided to add instant search. We were able to integrate + launch it within a day.

Keeping real time data in sync is quite difficult/expensive with Algolia as a solution. Where we have a large list of items in our Algolia, they also have data points that update in near real time. The combination of needing to update data in algolia, and constantly refresh the algolia cache in browser results in either high costs, or out of sync data.

Algolia has been fantastic for using real time fuzzy search across a broad spectrum of data. Combinging 3-4 data sets that we display as separate pages into one search result is a breeze. Being able to take the same complex data set, and provide predefined sorting options has added a lot of functionality to our product rapidly. Without the need for backend to create custom endpoints for us.

I currently feel that there is no downside of using algolia as long as my data is safe.

I had a document searching functionality to be implemented in my project. I stored all the content of my document in the my local database but when it came for searching a keyword from the stored content in the database I lagged the response timing as it was not very fast. I resolved this issue when I used algolia.

I like Algolia very much, it is fantastic for our business, great search speed and ease of integration and support, a great tool that makes it one of my favorite services, its functionality and the potential it offers is so great that you will not regret use it.

Algolia represents a huge advance compared to our Ecommerce site's original search tool. It delivers much more refined and relevant search results nearly instantaneously, making the shopper's experience much more productive and enjoyable.

It's so highly technical that I must involve our web developer to implement almost any tweak to search logic, other than some basic stuff I can accomplish on my own.

Our original site search tool was based on simple word-search, so it would display any product whose description contained the searched word, rendering search results almost useless. In contrast, Algolia returns search results that are way more useful. Our next step will be to index our blog and FAQ pages, in addition to our products, since oftentimes our visitors are searching for help on a topic, not just for a product.

When trying to learn about Algolia as a new customer, it is very easy to navigate their website and see clearly what their pricing and structure plans are. The implementation of it on my company website, DollarProbs.com was easy and we did not experience any major issues or bugs.

It would be better to see how Algolia can expand on its current sets of search API data, and be able to give more in-depth reports in its weekly usage report emails it sends out. Making it a bit easier to switch plans would be more helpful, but overall it is quite simple to find needed information.

Using Algolia search API to help determine what users on my website are searching for, and to see what the trending words are that they are searching for so we can make them stronger keywords in our site. The Algolia features and services are plenty for my small business to handle for now.

Algolia is very well thought out product and it's staggering how many options they provide to customise and filter search results. Developer documentation is clear and concise and it only takes a few minutes to get up and running. Additionally tooltips are depicted next to almost all configurable options making it even easier to find the relevant documentation. Indexed results are returned almost instantly. I'm also a big fan of the browse feature, which allows you to test any configuration changes to an index without having to setup an environment. The Algolia team are also friendly and genuinely want to help you make the most of your experience and achieve your goals.

Some of features we required were aimed at more of an enterprise level business, which was beyond the scope our implementation. However after chatting with their Team we were able to find a suitable workaround and achieve our goals.

Algolia is a great service and toolset for crafting corp dev utilities and systems. With it we have been able to execute quickly on several developer efficiency efforts. The fast injection of data, configuration of indexes and amazing api coverage allow for some very powerful solutions to search.

The developer documentation and the API are great: quickly to integrate and powerful. The search options in the dashboard are also easy to configure and adjust.The various integrations with frameworks are also great. We use Algolia in JavaScript (Node and Browser), in Swift for our mobile app and also with Jekyll for our static help website.

Maybe the statistics, it would be helpful to have the info by country and keep them longer by default (at least some information like the 0-result searches). Right now we need to push them to another engine to keep them. Alternatively, an API to get the aggregated statistics would be helpful (especially to regularly get the 0-result searches and be able to push them to our team to improve the indexed data).

We switched our public search engine to Algolia to search sheet music on our website. It allows to quickly enhance the possibilities and offer more to our users, while reduce the development time for the update. We also added algolia to our help center made with Jekyll, that's a great combo for a static site (no maintenance time yet powerful).
