works for 2d or 3d. All the extra packages that come with it are nice too.
They email me all the time asking for reviews. Its kinda expensive. I needed to take a class to learn the basics.
CAD drawings of out mill and process.
I like the online support the most. If you run into a problem or are unsure how to do something, it's likely someone else has had that problem before and it's been documented, along with a solution.
I honestly don't dislike anything, everything I need it to do--it does.
How to draw our molds efficiently and quickly. I've learned that .lsp files are a huge benefit to doing some things quickly.
Great program for doing floor plans & plant layouts, this also works great for doing gaskets and some sheet metal flat patterns. another benefit of this program is it works in several engineering areas like civil, arch and Mech.
For an old school designer like myself, I have not liked the push to eliminate the classic menus. Whenever I deploy new installations within my company, I spend time customizing certain some workstations to utilize the classic menu's including my own. I can work a lot faster using classic menus and icons to do the work than I can with the Ribbon style of commands. In 2018 versions, I have noticed that some of the classic menus are no longer available. This is a bad move by Autodesk in my opinion. Since about 2015 or so, they have hidden the classic menus and they have to be turned on using the MENUBAR (from 0 to 1) and the -TOOLBAR command lines to get your toolbars turned back on. Be sure to save your customized WORKSPACE when you are finished. For an old school designer like myself, I have not liked the push to eliminate the classic menus. We use AutoCAD Mechanical for some 2D layouts and a lot of electrical schematics. As an engineering firm, AutoCAD Mechanical is very useful for our designs and internal projects. While INVENTOR is used for most designs of parts and assemblies these days, there are some things you just can't do with INVENTOR or at least do simply with INVENTOR that AutoCAD Mechanical can do.
Drafting is made easy with the help of this Software
When compared with other software AutoCAD is a bit on the lower side in the 3D section
Traffic control plans and mapping
Although it took a little getting used to, I really like being able to type commands. It seemed more tedious at first but its quicker than scrolling through drop-downs or searching for icons.
Just that I don't have enough time allowed to become more proficient at the software.
Using AutoCAD to create wiring diagrams and plan out security panels helps increase productivity. Changes can be made easily and it allows us to document the builds so they can be repeated or for trouble shooting if a system goes down.
The interface makes it simple to design our product.
I dislike that the home screen only displays the top 5 most used files. I wish it were more.
Designing stent grafts for aortic aneurysms in 2D.
Depending on the version you buy it is a great program that helps us out tremendously. It makes floor plans a breeze and helps when try to sell something since you have a professional design that you can print out.
Honestly nothing the program is great and the service support is great as well however you do have to know what you are doing to use it because it does look a little scary when you first open it.
I am using it to increase more business as people like to see what they are getting or look at a concept of the design you have in mind. It has increased close ratio as before it was harder to make the sell now it really does sell itself.
Ease of use, intuitive layout. and the capitulates.
There is noting I dislike in AutoCad Electrical
All our schematics are done using AutoCad Electrical.
The stability of AutoCAD 2019 seems to be an improvement over previous releases. My projects are requiring increased levels of 3D design and AutoCAD is becoming more user friendly in it's 3D environment.
I would like to see some development to create 3D parametric blocks. I would also like to see a tool to convert lines to slots.
Complex 3D wood product design, successful product drawings.
This version of Auto Cad is one of the best i've used so far, not only do you get the Mac OS version but access to windows version as well. I highly recommend using the windows version on a very powerful PC.
Only complaint is that the Mac OS X version is an older version than the one for windows.
Designing in house and being able to edit instead of outsourcing is saving us alot of time.
