"Practical screen-capturing software."
What do you like best about Basecamp?

As an accountant’s point of view, I can confidently say that Basecamp is reliable for team collaborations. The cheap monthly price of this application is my favorite part because my business cannot afford expensive software like this. It also works well for bigger teams or has a free version. I love the intuitive interface through which I create guest accounts (quite important when collaborating with external partners). It is a really well integrated collaboration app.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Nonetheless, there are certain things I do not like about Basecamp. Although it performs tasks effectively, it can be inadequate for complex projects. Though, the dashboard design of software is functional but a little bit does not fit with the more modern interface.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

We benefit from increased productivity when using Basecamp, the answer to streamlined team communication and task tracking. It is critical for efficient financial management as we save time by consolidating multiple project resources into one point.

"The best workflow manage systen"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

The easiest way to create to-dos and bookmarks, asign people to the work and upload documents in the text box, its very helpfull to find information in short time.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

The paid version Its very expensive, maybe if you create a basic plan for small business, more people could use basecamp at work. It's a good way to work. Just that.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workflow!! Put in order my team, change and assign to-do. Reducing coordination times by more than 50 percent so means 50% cost operative reducción. Great solution!

"User friendly"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

Extremely user-friendly. We have been using Basecamp for almost 15 years. During that time we tried similar programs and always came back to Basecamp. The others didn't measure up. One thing that we love is that there is no storage limit so we are able to upload large files regularly without worrying about space. We like that we can add clients to the project but they cannot see others. There are just so many ways to use this to meet anybody's needs and the cost is very affordable.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Basecamp used to have a place to store files in a way that was easy to find. They eliminated that feature when moving to BC3. We have finally gotten used to it but liked that our entire team could access files all in one place rather than using a separate program for it. When files were uploaded to a milestone, they were automatically added to the file tab which we loved and would love to see make a comeback ;)

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Project management and being able to streamline projects when more than one person is involved. It helps with communication between team members and sometimes clients.

"I don't want to even imagine not using Basecamp."
What do you like best about Basecamp?

The "to-do" functionality, with the date due, and the commenting thread is extremely helpful for keeping things organized. The ability to look up a teammate and see what is on their plate is super helpful for one-on-one chats.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

I can see that the price tag would deter some, especially if they are in a non-profit organization like myself. And the fact that it is not within the Microsoft eco system will mean some companies cannot use it, due to their security policies.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Staying organized is always challenging, and having clarity on who is responsible for what is a huge benefit. Being able to see what any one teammate is responsible for helps in the weekly one-on-one chats.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

It's dead simple. From pricing to interface, people new to it will have few issues navigating Basecamp.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Quick switching isn't as quick as it could be and doesn't show all options. Because of this, people in the company still use our chat tools for quick messages.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Basecamp helps us keep our discussions organized. By being organized, it is easier to re-absorb them in the future should the need arise.

"It's still the best project management tool."
What do you like best about Basecamp?

You can centralize all the project information, channel communication with your client in a very orderly manner and you can also maintain privacy with your team colleagues

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

The way you now create new customer contacts you work with and add them to the new project. Also the monthly price is high.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me centralize the information of each project and channel it in an orderly manner with the clients.

"BC has become the flexible hub for company operations"
What do you like best about Basecamp?

The format and flexibility of BC are unlike any system I've tried. The BC team has always been open to suggestions and improvements to the system. BC is straightforward and excellent for remote teams; we are a 50/50 group. It has allowed us to keep projects on task, assign work to outside members, and set follow-up reminders. I'd highly recommend BC to any company, BUT like any system, I suggest there be a person in charge of that system and its structure. Without it, like any system, things can get lost.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

I don't really have one. We've worked in the parameters of the system to make it work for us and become one of our most relied-upon company tools. If I had to pick one thing, it would be there's no discount for long-standing customers :)

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workflow is key to our company, and its functionality. We have

"The best! Complete and limitless."
What do you like best about Basecamp?

I have used Basecamp in my company for over a decade and love it. A complete tool with powerful add-ons where we put all the processes and tasks from the company in: from projects organization to HR announcements, training and procedures. Today I manage more than 100 projects in parallel using Basecamp in a very organized way. It's great that the plan does not charge for every new user or project, it's limitless! For the volume of projects we have, it would be unviable to pay for each project or user (because we are a small company with lots of projects). Everything you need on a simple license and that's simply great.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Some suggestions for the future of Basecamp from a daily user who loves the tool: The Campfire tool might be improved to accept audio and GIFs, especially for quick audio sent on a mobile phone. Also, it would be great to have a tab of all active Campfires (just like Whatsapp Web), where you can easily focus the conversations in one single browser window. Today, I can't fully substitute Whatsapp or Slack with Campfire (and it would be great if possible, in case of Campfire became more robust as a tool). Maybe even having a separated mobile app for Campfire, with usability focused on chat (as whatsapp), but integrated with the Basecamp projects, so we can keep all the corporate conversations on a unique tool. That would be perfect. The new kanban tool is pretty cool but might be better integrated with to-do lists (like the Tracked Add-ons), instead of having each card not connected to the task-list (or you use one or another). Also, Tracked has the tagging system that is very useful and for sure could be implemented on native Basecamp. When the native tool was launched, I thought I would be able to substitute Tracked add-on, but I could not. Also, it would be great if time tracking could be a native tool, without the need of hiring expensive add-ons (charged per user) to do the project's time tracking. Also, a native Gantt chart tool would be nice! :)

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Organization and project management.
