I like the unlimited storage available as we as the web interface
Sometimes there can be a bit of a buggy search function -- files that I know exist sometimes have trouble showing up when searching for them.
Collaborative sharing
Box Sync which syncs all the files and store it on you desktop/notebook, on Android you download the file when needed. They also have another program which I use on my MacBook now that only store the file in the cloud and I would only download when I needed. Search from the taskbar in windows is pretty convenient as well
I do experience program crash several times, in the case when I need to re-install, all the files has to be download again from the cloud
As I have to edit documents, graphic on the go from time to time, it really helps to have all the files automatically sync to the cloud
I love the accessibility of box. It is the simplicity of a thumb drive without having to keep up with a device. It is a simple way to upload documentation for multiple user access for group projects or committee planning.
There is no way to directly save to the site, you must go out to the site and upload the document you wish to be out there.
We are able to scan in files and for each individual we service and everyone is able to access the files when needed and can use the information for whatever is necessary for their end of the process.
Ability to lock files, limiting the number of conflicted copies.
Large GIS files (e.g., NLCD) don't play well with box synch. Also, box is not integrated with and reference managers, putting it behind google docs which is integrated with papers.
Collaboration, reproducible science
I enjoy box all the way around. Box offers the choices of having an account through "enterprise, business or personal", along with all the available storage, you are also given the opportunity to choose what of your saved items can be shared with others. And theres nothing like the ability to save whatever you would like to "the cloud"
I can not say that there is much that I dislike about Box, I am sure that as I continue to use this app, that something will be unappealing to me, and at that time I will share on another survey, but at this point, I can not say for sure that there is anything that I dislike
not having to file everything paper anymore is amazing, it saves a LOT of space and a ton of work for me and others in the office. It is so much easier to scan and save to box, along with other places in the cloud, my items can also be shared and edited as needed through box
For me this service is somewhat getting more and more commoditized, so it's about how much u can store, how easy I can access it and the price. Box is fairly good in the 3 categories and definitely an option to consider..
looking forward to more innovation and improvements especially in the platform. Price also can get better
Storage
Easy to use, set up, and navigate the platform
Inviting collaborators is hard to figure out at first, but easy after that.
Easy to use content sharing for remote business partners.
Easy to work with it, and to share to everyone needed files, search, sort
Nothing. I like everything at all. Nothing bad
All files are easy to share in box
Box makes it very easy to share documents, videos, and presentations with colleagues in the workplace.
My only gripe about Box is that my colleagues do not utilize it enough. Information is placed in Box for the masses, but I continue to calls asking where information can be found. The box link is in my emails, and colleagues still do not use my box links
One of the business problems being solved is the lack of knowledge share. With Box, no matter where my colleagues are in the country, they can gain access to important documents fast and immediately
I have a box account through my university and it is the best. I am a production major and so I constantly am sharing files with people. This has been the most efficient way to do so!
There are certain times when people are unable to access certain things I send them. Also, since this is through a University account, I have a hard time sending to people who are using an outside email address.
I am able to share and collaborate with people without having to be in the same room. I can access these files from whereever I have an internet connection.
I like that I am able to upload plans that any of our clients and subcontractors can access as sending over email always fails because of how big so many of the files are.
There is nothing that I dislike about this product. I have found it to be extremely easy to use and it is easy for all of our clients to use.
I have realized the importance of all files being on a cloud that are accessible without having to login to a server. Really beautiful thing.
The platform is easy to use and works great. Can save data up to 10GB for free.
More functionality within Box platform. Sometimes take too long to open documents.
Collaborating with work colleagues remotely. Saves times and increased efficiency.
BOX is easy to use because I can share a link with someone and they can instantly go there and upload any files they want me to see. I can also see the upload history, including time, email associated with the person that uploaded documents, and I can limit the access of other users so I can organize everything the way that I want it. I like that I can label certain documents for one department's use, and organize everything a custom way that works for our organization.
The normal features of "right click" don't bring up the copy, paste features I love. I also can't create a new folder with a right click, but instead I have to use the dashboard features built into the platform. It's slightly inconvenient, but not enough to stop using it.
We are speeding up the communications processes and getting information from one department to another very quickly without wasting paper. We also
I like that it is able to store a large amount of documents securely, it is easy to access, and several users can access it at the same time.
There is nothing I really dislike as it has served all my business needs.
When I need to request a substantial amount of sensitive documents, the program provides a secure way of both sending and receiving documents.
The best thing about box is that it gives great flexibility to editing files on different devices. Also, it can be used from Mac, Windows or Ubuntu devices, meaning great flexibility to use in any company.
One of the things that I did not like is while signing up to Box the process was a bit complicated, it sends an authorization code and for some reason I faced difficulty receiving it. Anyway, I was able to get it finally and activate my account
I used to work in Huawei Project Management team and it gave me great flexibility to communicate with my team mates about which work is due and also sharing specific files for that task. It has very user friendly app and gives access using mobile devices which is crucial nowadays.
It's easy to use. We record all of the sales demos and plug them into box for analysis. We also use Box to allow us to view new and updated content that marketing/sales management has put together. Being able to review files and makes edits to these living documents are crucial.
Sometimes sharing can be a little cumbersome as well as being able to navigate through the site. I feel like the training of the product could be a little more in depth. Perhaps a click-through help box when you first get started using it.
We use Box to communicate documents amongst the team. This is where we can have live documents as well. We have many communication tools (Slack, Skype, gmail, etc.), but being able to organize all of these documents/recordings into one space has been a bit of a hassle. Box fixes that problem.
I have used the free version of Box and absolutely love it. It is easy to use and has all the tools necessary to upload, download, sync files to the cloud. I have tried several other cloud storages like OneDrive, Google Drive, Amazon Drive etc. but I seem to prefer Box over all the others. It is easy to setup, simple to use and very intuitive. I am yet to use its collaboration features and hence cannot comment on its features as it relates to collaboration. However, from a pure file storage perspective, I like the product and highly recommend it to others.
Cost, Capacity with free account, mobile features could be better
I have used in in two different scenarios. I have used it for my own personal use for backing up files to the cloud and also for my Salesforce projects where I wanted to use Box as the cloud file storage for my org instead of Salesforce files. I was able to integrate it easily with my CRM and realize tremendous cost savings on file storage.
Great for managing files remotely and to keep track of different versions.
Not as sleek of an interface as some other file management systems but it gets the job done.
Having a central place to keep files that is easy to share with other colleagues.
Box is a very simple and user friendly storage system. It's something that anyone can join and start using right away. It's very intuitive.
Nothing so far. The product does exactly what we need it to do.
Organization of files on the cloud to avoid having to house our own servers.
We really love not having to connect to a server to access files, but knowing that it's a secure place to keep data.
Nothing! It has so many great features like the live editing that just make it so easy to use.
With Box, everyone can access our files from anywhere when needed, which is a huge benefit because you can access anything during any meeting, regardless of location.
