Box allows unlimited files to be uploaded and it also allows you to edit the file within the browser itself. You can also drag and drop files at ease to upload and share to your team members. Microsoft Office 365 also is easily integrated within Box for better editing and direct creation of files. Tracking viewers is also very good as you can see those who viewed the files, downloaded and edited. Overall, It is an excellent tool for sharing your files to team members.
I found out that there is 5 GB limit for each file uploaded, so if you are compressing huge files into one single rar or zip file, better not go way beyond the 5 gb limit.
Sharing of files, media to team members instantly on one centralized dashboard.
Things have changed a bit about when I created my free account. At the time Box offered an amount of 50 GB free, which made it the best offer without a doubt of the existing ones. Now the offer is considerably less that it is not bad either and that I think will be enough for most users. Of course, the free account has a limit: it only supports files up to a limit of MB, so it is not an option for those looking for a way to upload multimedia files such as movies. There are possibilities to extend these limits, with different pricing plans. As I say the limit per file, it may be that many people have enough reason to not directly consider this service as an option, but in my case, I use it for my work, where I only store data files (doc, ppt, pdf, etc) is more than enough. That a service has its own quality applications is an important point in its favor, but that in addition the applications of others integrate its service is something that plays very much in favor of whether one decides to use it or not. Perhaps not as well known as Dropbox or Google Drive, Box has a presence in a good handful of applications that take advantage of its functions. Such is the case of Documents, a free Readdle application that allows you to view, organize and share contents of the main online storage services, including Box, or mail clients such as Acompli that allow you to attach Box files in your emails. And they are just some examples of applications that include it, because there are many more in the App Store.
Maybe it is less known than its competitors, but when evaluating it it has powerful advantages for storing and sharing files with your usual work team.
This tool although in its free version offers a very limited storage space, its business version is very powerful, since storage is unlimited. But as I said, it is worth trying because with a free version we have been able to do collaborative work in my work department in a simpler way and we like its fresh and simple environment that refreshes the view and is very pleasant. We are seriously considering changing or using this option in parallel with the one we currently use
How much free cloud storage is given more than Dropbox
its much more cumbersome than simpler cloud storage such as dropbox and googledrive
cloud sharing storage between coworkers that are at satellite facilities
I like being able to access documentation on any device anywhere in a secure way.
The 2-factor auth we use (duo) does not always push to my phone so I can't just easily tap my watch. I think it is because I switch networks often through the day. Not really a Box issue. My biggest issue of having both a personal and business Box login was long ago corrected. I used to have to remove cookies to go back and forth.
I use Box extensively to collaborate on projects and with colleagues all across campus. RFP processes, hearing materials are the most common but it the primary way we communicate on the U IT Pros board.
Box is a cool application of storing your work related data. Best part is you can easily share your files with your colleague and can edit it instantly.
Nothing as such. However at times the figures resolution can change during direct working in box that can be improved.
I didn't encounter any problem.
Love the amount of storage allowed on the cloud and the easy to use user interface.
There's a slight limit to size of files able to upload from mobile devices and tends to lag once in a while.
Slight lag every once in a while when uploading files. But amount of online space helps to make up for it.
It was a great place to keep all my files for work and was easy to use for a long time.
Had a lot of problems after an update they did. Surely it’s fixed by now. Been a while since I used it at Autotrader.
Keeping files
Box is actually very good for storing files online, the things I like best are: 1. Box offers a large space of 10gb to store all kinds of files you want to store from images to pdf's to videos. Absolutely any kind of file. 2. Box has a very good app that consumes less space but gets the job done. 3. Box is easy to use. It's really easy. 4. Box comes with a good arrangement of folders on the site so it's just like having an online file manager. 5. Box allows you have multiple accounts as long as you have 2 or more gmail accounts. We just presently opened our second account on box. 6. Box can keep all your data for as long as you want it to be kept
The only downside I noticed about box is that box at times has slow uploading speed, just sometimes though, maybe due to network or something. My
Box has boosted our organization of files and helped us access long lost files at needy times.
Box is a good software, I like things about it which are: 1. Box can work very fast on android phones as it works fast on desktop too. So you can access your account from anywhere. 2. Box gives a very large space of 10gb to store files, you can literally store anything from your images, videos, pdf's and you'll still have space left. 3. Box is relatively cheap. Since we have started using box in my company, we haven't paid anything. 4. Uploading speed on box is good too. It mostly doesn't lag when ur uploading 5. You can aslo have numerous accounts easily on box, for instance, we just opened a new account as shown in our screenshot below. So an additional 10gb left to fill!
The only glitch I have noticed about box is that sometimes the files you upload on your phone doesn't appear on your desktop version immediately, this has made us waste time in accessing an important document a certain time.
Box has helped us organize our files well without fear of loss of documents or anything. It also has helped me personally to carry less documents around because I know that once a desktop or phone is around, I can access my documents.
Ease of sharing and controlling who can see various media makes confidential collaboration a breeze.
Can get a bit slow when dealing with extremely large libraries.
Confidential collaboration has become easier with box. Benefits of less emails going astray has helped keep data leaks to a minimum.
It's easy and fast to use, to has a desktop app and we use it as a standard to do versioning, and in case you delete something by mistake you can undo that.
It shows the reading date and time for each people that viewed the file, not a fault of the software, but I have some pretty intense coworkers.
A lot better than email or other file sharing solutions, specially for group collaboration.
I moved to Box from G. Drive and Dropbox, use it as an online backup service for my company. I can recommend that toll as fully -featured enterprise collaboration platform, it provides unlimited storage space, reasonable cost, secure access from any device, lots of plug-ins/partners, and sync capabilities.
Box cannot be used as a repository of marketing materials due to it does not provide preview features.
cloud storage, backup service, collaboration platform.
I like to be able to share large files and securely to other users of the company, I like that the account is personal and free because it helps all people to do our work more easily. An excellent tool that saves you a lot of time, I like that not only saves you time, but on a personal level is the best because we can store large files to the cloud, I love its easy handling and we can make a backup of all important documents we have on the device, simply spectacular. It is also attractive that it can be used from mobile devices, I have it on my phone and sincerely I have all my phone backed up, even contacts.
I don't like it and I don't think that the Premium users have greater benefits notorious enough, I would like that in the personal accounts they can pass files with more weight than 250mb by file, this for me would be the most important point to treat since in the company in which I work we send extremely big files therefore we need to have a Premium account, It happens to me and it is quite annoying that sometimes I need to pass a large file very large and does not let me transfer it and there contained very important information, that is what I did not like the application should raise the capacity of file size as it is very necessary for us as normal users to be able to get to store these data ... I hope I solve it with an update.
It is highly functional at work, I even think it is the first purpose of the application, because it facilitates the work for us in a great way because we can save important files in the cloud quickly and we are sure that only the user can see the content and also you can share it with your business partners, share work content, for the company this program is indispensable because it is national and international which leads us to have to send different types of documents via the web through the cloud. Also on a personal level has served me in different opportunities because I work from home through the computer and needed to make backups, I finally got it thanks to this application just need to have Internet connection to upload files you want to the cloud. Thanks to this application and through it I have a browser backup of everything relevant to my computer.
good office app integration, easy to use storage option is limitless
very small size of storage only 5 gb, none flexible sync
it ´s a good tool for storage but not too professional but helped me a lot with my duties and my business
I like it, it is a very secure platform in which I have been able to store a series of files that contain important information both personal and for the company, through a storage cloud that you can open anywhere using a computer, is safe and reliable that is its main features.
One of the things I don't like is that it can only store 10 GB, it should be improved being totally unlimited storage without the need to be a premium user and should be easier to understand because if you know how to use it will be of great help to perform your daily activities, lastly sometimes has problems with synchronization, but I suppose that will be problems with Internet connectivity.
The page at company level is simply spectacular because we have the Premium version and facilitates the work on a large scale because we can advance content from home and all files have a unique security from the cloud, you can open in any browser just need the user to see all files, in my work this tool is essential and all the team share information through this way.
I like that we can keep all of our client's files organized in box. It is super easy to upload all of your files and folders. It gives us peace of mind that we can always access old files we may need in the future.
I dislike that we can only have a limited number of users for our company without having to pay more.
I'm able to archive and easily access all our design files with box.
Box gives 50Gb free storage (maybe more now) and can use it to as many devices as you like. Until now I did't have any issues.
Really nothing. Works like a charm, suggest to use.
Cross platform synchronization and keep my files anywhere I want.
From the beginning that begins with a registry it is very easy to make your configuration to start working on this platform creating folders and files to store the information you want and be able to share with users who require access to documents to read or edit them I can see the details of the activity that each document has, such as the editions, downloads and comments we make to the original document but always keeping it saved in the cloud
When I made the registration to register to the platform, it asks to confirm the email with a message that arrives in the inbox which did not reach me and I tried again to get the confirmation mail but the first message I received arrived. arrived and that was not working, I had to wait for the second one I asked but it was hard for at least 15 minutes to arrive and I almost did not manage to verify my account to access
I have the confidence to keep all the documents in the box cloud because I know that I will not lose the information and that it helps me to free up space on my computer to not have so much document that is important but it is better to have it in the cloud that is more trustworthy
The company I work for uses Box to share and organize large files that can't be sent over email. It's an efficient way to share resources.
We're not (to my knowledge) able to customize the information shown next to the file name (to see the image size instead of file size, for example).
Box makes it easy to get the files we need to do our work.
I can access all the documents stored in the cloud without having to download them, when I need to edit them I download them and make the changes I need to then upload them in the box cloud for others who need the document I share my files and folders with colleagues that I want them to see the content but when I do not want to share certain content I configure it to be private and keep it in the cloud but nobody can access this document I use a lot the mobile app to visualize the documents that other colleagues upload to the cloud and so when I'm not in the office I advance work reading the documents
Sometimes when I download a document in excel format the cells and rows are changed from the original size to which they had which I have to manually configure it again and it makes me lose time in my work and more knowing that the original document had already been configured in a way correct
I keep all the documents in the cloud to have a reliable backup apart from having them on my computer that can be damaged at any time and lose the documents saved in change as they are stored in the cloud I am sure that I will never lose this information
