I simply like that Box does what it is supposed to do. I can save files on my Box via desktop and it is immediately available on my mobile application. It is intuitive, secured and makes collaboration between users a seamless experience.
The web browser version of Box is very limited, when compared with the native desktop version. For me, I would select web applications any day, above native desktop applications. However, it is clearly obvious that Box would rather have me use the platform as a native desktop application.
We use Box as a storage option to backup vital day to day files we use in the workplace. Having access to my files from everywhere is the number one benefit I think about when I remember my experience as a user.
The drag-and-drop feature of files and folders makes Box easier to use than other file management systems. Sharing/permissions are simple to establish and easy to check who can see or edit what.
There is not a lot to dislike with Box. Depending on your institution, getting a Box account may take time, resulting in a bit of a delay sometimes when trying to share things with coworkers without an account. But that's an easy fix.
Like most document and media management systems, it is effortless to upload things to your account. However, the drag-and-drop feature of Box makes it simple to rearrange as needed. This feature has been such a boon, especially when dumping many items into your account to reorganize later.
I like that you can use the full features of Microsoft programs using Box, while still being able to edit the files at the same time as other users. It's the best of both worlds.
Sometimes the updates between edits from different users has a delay which can make the editing simultaneously by more than one user challenging. Overall it works pretty well though.
I use Box to work on collaborative documents in order to share and update student information in a central location where everyone who needs access to it, does.
Box is a stellar storage application where large and secure data can be stored within less time.
There is a limit for storage after the provided space is filled
With Box, I'm saving large files and data without thinking about security as it is encrypted with all the secure lines.
I like that it is a very efficient way of transferring a large volume of documents.
I dislike that the actual site is not super easy to use/user friendly.
The business problems that Box solves are with transferring large amounts of data through documents and presentations.
1. Easy to learn and master the file storage 2. Easy to store the documents on the cloud with version control 3. Easy to control access to the documents. 4. Easy to share links, access to the documents 5. Auto backup
There are no downsides that I know of at present.
I am trying to solve, 1. Central location for all documents 2. Version control for all documents 3. Access control for all documents by specific users. 4. Backups
I like the simplicity of organizing and storing all of my assets and data in one space. It makes the process easy to onboard into and maintain moving forward.
I have not had many drastic negative experiences with Box. It does what I need it to do.
Centralized data and information storage is a massive advantage for our business. It is so easy to share a link with a co-worker or client to get them all the information they need.
I absolutely love Box. It's super easy and intuitive to use. One can create their own file structure and naming conventions. It's Cliud based so you won't lose your data. You can Archive documents so that you won't totally delete them. Cost varies in terms of the amount of storage you require. Multiple tier plans are available.
There isn't anything i don't like about Box. It really just comes down to cost. Especially when evaluating other storage options.
Document sharing internally and externally.ther is no financial benefit to using this product it certainly keeps your sanity in check knowing that you don't have documentation saved to your desktop or an external drive you could lose.
I think is an easy way to collaborate with other people, it is really fast
I think that other platform has better prices and better sync ways with PC and other platforms; if you can solve it, you will do it great
I was saving data like files or media such as images, videos, music and things like that. One benefit is edit files online like powerpoint files, it's really easy
The helpfulness and the user friendly software.
The placement lf certain options to use can be better and more intuitive.
I am solving project management related issues. I have realized that the value of protecting information through cloud.
Box allows my team to create and maintain a file structure that is customized to our needs and works across our group. We seamlessly collaborate with partners all over the world using Box
I work with high resolution images a lot and l wish l could adjust the size of the preview thumbnail in Box without having to adjust my browser settings. It would also be nice to have additional privacy controls at the folder level
Box helps my USA based team access information from partners in Aisa and Europe easily and quickly. It also allows us to store all of our working files in a place they can be easily accessed by the team even while traveling
I like that uploads show up instantaneously, which makes it easier to work on a project with other people simultaneously. It would be much harder to use than a program that has such delays.
With larger video files, uploading can take a very long time. The privacy settings can also be a bit confusing, and I have had experiences where I had to go back and forth several times before actually managing to share a file.
I use Box to share and receive files. I used Box with my university to receive videos of performances and other projects that were edited by others. I also used it to share files with clients when I had completed editing projects.
Box has a straightforward and pleasing interface without too many hiccups. It is better than many brand name tools (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.) while remaining fairly competitive in pricing. The notes feature is also a big plus.
The biggest issue with Box is the sharing limitations, particularly at a business level. It works well enough for personal use but it doesn't give the degree of variety needed to use outside of that area. More tiers/control over sharing settings are needed.
Box is an effective tool for file storage. We are ultimately not using the tool anymore (our organization is on G-Suite so Google Drive makes more sense) but there is high value for those who don't need the enterprise-level of control/sharing.
Nothing impresses me more about Box, than Box relay. Box relay has helped teams and departments in my organization to automate collaborative workflows, without the need to write code. This has made it easier to get repeatable day to day task completed faster, and streamline multiple work processes into a single automated workflow.
Box lacks an optional synchronization feature and its notetaking feature is completely limited, when compared with other major note-taking software.
Box solves issues around file storage , sharing and collaboration in real time across all departments in my company. Security of sensitive files is amongst the many benefit realized from Box.
The simple way of file storage with tracking of version number, desktop app integration is best thing. Seamless Collaboration. Getting Notifications when someone uploads the data. Mentioning users is best thing.
Requires a fast and stable internet connection. Prices are high as compared to other cloud storage apps.
Sharing & receiving data to Collaborators accross the globe.
Box is best for storing files, documents and share it over the people through permitted link, in the corporate world. It also provide the secure way to access the file. The best part about Box is, suppose I opened one document and downloaded on local system to update the file. Once update is done, need to upload back to Box. So here I do not need to change file name even if same file is still there in same location on box. Once we upload the updated file on the same location where it was downloaded from, the version will be changed to new. That means if old version was 1 then new version of document would be 2, like this. That is the best I realised about Box is.
So far I realised few cons of using Box is, as below : Downloading is quite slower than uploading. If we download any file from box, it will take much amount of time rather than uploading the same to Box. Also, no more than 1 person will be able to make changes in same file. Suppose I am editng one file there on Box and someone from my team also making some changes there. So the Box will not consider the changes of both. Box will ignore the change of anyone(as per policy). Which I don't like about it.
In my current project, we use Box.com to upload the important files, documents. Somedays ago, I was editing one file there on Box and almost done, about to finish it off. Suddenly one message box popped up saying you are not allowed to do changes this time. I was shocked. I had already done multi changes and that is not saved yet. After 2 min I opened the same file to see the changes but the changes were not made. Because someone from my team also was editing the same file at same time. That's the reason Box did not consider my changes to the file.
Box is very simple and easy to use content management software. It is one of the primary cloud storage platforms that we use as part of our company's internal teams, as well as for our clients and external teams. The best thing I like about Box is its UI and uploading speed compared to other cloud storage platforms. I also like to use Box since it has got a large number of integrations available which is very helpful.
There are few things that I don't like about Box they are the limitation of files size for synching to a cloud server and the lack of sharing files with people outside the organization.
The Box platform appeals to me because of its simplicity, useful features, speed, and security. We utilise Box to upload, share, and provide a list of required and recommended products to the businesses and organisations with which we consult. In situations when we have meetings and need distinct files for each one, we utilise Box to organise and distribute with appropriate individuals or clients.
Box integration with third party software tools is what I like best. By integrating with lot of the third party software I use at work, Box is giving me complete control of the content flowing through these applications , while also ensuring that information I am moving from one application to another is very secured.
I dislike the almost non-stop Box updates. These updates ensures my Box software is continuously running at the background, thus affecting my pc speed.
Secured file sharing between every staff in my department. The ability to conveniently access all of my saved files from multiple devices without problems, is a major benefit I have derived from Box.
As a financial crime analyst, the level of security Box provides for users like myself is what I am most impressed with. Box is HIPAA compliant, SOC 1 Type II , SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 compliant. While the above may not make much sense to the average user, to me I see it is a validation that my sensitive files on Box are as safe as they should. In this sense, no cloud storage comes close to Box.
Asides from its occasional failure to synchronize, which is usually resolved by restarting my device, Box ticks all the boxes as regards the quality I want from a cloud storage program.
Safe data storage is the problem we solved by deploying Box. Security of saved files and contents as a financial organization, are benefits which I and my team-mates benefit from using Box from day to day.
Box enables departments and teams within my organization to create repeatable workflows, which are key to the everyday task and activity we do at work. We achieve the above by using Box Relay, this simple to use, no-coding needed Box feature, enables anyone to create workflow in minutes, around work based activities that matter the most to them.
Synchronization sometimes suddenly fails, although this happens with all software products. There is also the problem of Box making it difficult to preview documents and files before downloading them.
Major organizational problem we are solving with Box is related to file curation , file security and easy file access. Box version control feature makes it so easy to access previous version of every team file we share. This is one of the most important Box benefit for me.
