FaceUp publishes no prices at all — every one of its three plans says “Get a Quote” or “Contact Sales” — and its FAQ answers the question “Are there any hidden fees?” with “No. FaceUp offers transparent pricing with no hidden costs.” Those two facts sit on the same page. The one that matters more is further down the same FAQ: “we are not able to offer refunds, as all purchases are final.” You cannot see the price before talking to sales, and you cannot get it back afterwards.
- What it is: A whistleblowing and anonymous reporting platform for compliance obligations.
- Best for: Organisations that must meet whistleblower law and will use the free trial properly.
- Pricing: Not published. Quote-only on all three tiers. Verified August 2026.
- The honest catch: No refunds — all sales final.
What Is FaceUp?
FaceUp is a whistleblowing platform: anonymous reporting channels, encrypted two-way communication with reporters, case management and investigations. It exists largely because of legal obligation — under the EU Whistleblower Directive, organisations above a headcount threshold must operate internal reporting channels, and FaceUp sells the channel plus the case handling around it.
It reports 3,600+ organisations in over 70 countries, more than five years serving companies and over eight serving schools.
The feature set is broad on every tier: anonymous reporting, customised forms, encrypted two-way messaging, anonymised voice messages, attachments, website links and widgets, working-hours auto-reply, 113 languages, and iOS and Android apps. Case management covers a case database, anonymous assignee options, translations and collaboration.
Three tiers separate mainly on administrator seats — 5 on Starter, 10 on Professional, unlimited on Enterprise — plus unlimited reporting forms and native integrations at Professional, and SSO, advanced permissions and multi-entity/multi-country support at Enterprise.
How FaceUp Works
- Anonymous reporting channels with encrypted two-way messaging.
- Three tiers, separated largely by administrator count.
- No prices published — quote-only throughout.
- Free implementation, no IT support required.
- Monthly, quarterly or annual billing.
- No refunds — all purchases final.

What actually decides your cost:
- There is no published price on any tier, including the entry one. All three plans are quote-gated. For Enterprise that is normal; for Starter — explicitly “designed for organizations that need to meet whistleblower laws confidently without unnecessary complexity” — it is less so. The organisations buying that tier are typically small ones meeting a legal minimum, and they cannot budget, benchmark or compare without first entering a sales process.
- “Transparent pricing with no hidden costs” is asserted on a page with no costs on it. FaceUp’s FAQ asks “Are there any hidden fees?” and answers “No. FaceUp offers transparent pricing with no hidden costs.” Taken as a promise that the quote you receive will be the whole bill, that is a reasonable commitment. Taken as a description of the pricing page, it does not hold — nothing is disclosed there at all. Read it as the former.
- All purchases are final. There are no refunds. From the same FAQ: “Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds, as all purchases are final.” This is the single most important term on the site, and it compounds the pricing opacity — you commit to a figure you could not benchmark, with no way back. FaceUp’s own mitigation is that it “put[s] a great deal of effort into introducing our clients to the FaceUp platform” before purchase, which is a reason to take the trial seriously rather than a substitute for recourse.
-
The free trial is the protection, and the affiliate link goes straight to it.
/go/faceuplands directly onadmin.faceup.com/sign-up/company/trial. Given the no-refund policy, that trial is not an optional convenience — it is the only opportunity to establish whether the product fits before the money is irreversible. Use it to test the reporting flow end to end, in the languages your staff actually speak. - Annual billing saves “up to 30%”. This is the only quantified pricing fact anywhere on the page. Billing can be monthly, quarterly or annual, and FaceUp says annual can save up to 30%. With no base price published, that percentage cannot be converted into money until you have a quote — but it is worth asking for both figures so the discount is visible rather than assumed.
- All three hotline options are add-ons on every tier — including Enterprise. Automated Phone Hotline, Live Hotline and the AI-Powered Hotline are each marked add-on across Starter, Professional and Enterprise. The AI hotline in particular is promoted in the site’s main navigation as a headline capability, so it is worth knowing it is never bundled, at any price point.
- Administrator seats are the real tier boundary. 5, 10, unlimited. Most of the reporting features — anonymous submission, encrypted messaging, voice messages, 113 languages, mobile apps — appear across all tiers. If your compliance team is small, the entry tier may genuinely suffice, and the question to ask sales is what the seat count costs rather than what the plan does.
- SSO is Enterprise-only. Single sign-on, advanced permission management and multi-entity support all sit at the top tier. For a regulated organisation with existing identity infrastructure, that may force Enterprise regardless of headcount.
- Implementation is free and quick. FaceUp states setup “takes only a few minutes and does not require IT support”, with online onboarding and a knowledge base included. For a compliance tool with a legal deadline attached, that matters.
-
The affiliate link tracks correctly.
/go/faceupreturns 200, resolves through PartnerStack to the trial signup, and sets the_grsmpkpartner key.
Who Should Use FaceUp
- Organisations meeting whistleblower law. This is the product’s core purpose.
- Multinational or multilingual employers. 113 languages and multi-country support.
- Schools. FaceUp has served the education sector for over eight years and prices it separately.
- Small compliance teams. Five administrators may be enough at the entry tier.
It fits poorly for buyers who need to budget before engaging sales, since nothing is published; for organisations wanting purchase protection, given the no-refund policy; and for anyone expecting a hotline included, since all three hotline types are add-ons at every tier.
Honest Pros and Cons
Strengths
- 113 languages and mobile apps on every tier.
- Anonymised voice messages and encrypted two-way chat throughout.
- Free implementation, no IT involvement needed.
- A genuine free trial, which the affiliate link goes straight to.
- 3,600+ organisations across 70+ countries.
- Annual billing saves up to 30%.
Limitations
- No prices published on any tier.
- No refunds — all purchases final.
- “Transparent pricing” claimed on a page showing none.
- All three hotline options are add-ons, even on Enterprise.
- SSO is Enterprise-only.
- The 30% annual saving cannot be valued without a quote.
FaceUp Alternatives and How It Compares
- NAVEX is the established enterprise incumbent in ethics and compliance reporting.
- Whispli and Vault Platform compete directly on anonymous reporting and case management.
- EQS Integrity Line is widely used across EU compliance teams.
- A monitored email alias plus a documented process is the minimum viable route, though it satisfies few auditors.
The Verdict
FaceUp looks like a competent whistleblowing platform. The reporting side is genuinely well specified — anonymous submission, encrypted two-way messaging, anonymised voice messages, 113 languages and mobile apps on every tier — and implementation is free and reportedly takes minutes. For an organisation facing a legal obligation with a deadline, those are the right things to get right.
The commercial terms are where a buyer needs to be careful, and two of them interact badly.
First, nothing is priced. All three plans are quote-only, including Starter, which is aimed at small organisations doing the legal minimum. Those are exactly the buyers least equipped to run a procurement process and most likely to want a number they can put in a budget. FaceUp’s FAQ does say “transparent pricing with no hidden costs” — which is best read as a promise that the quote will be complete, not as a description of the page, where no cost appears at all.
Second, and more consequentially: all purchases are final and no refunds are offered. That is stated plainly in the FAQ. Combine it with unpublished pricing and the position is that you agree a figure you cannot benchmark against competitors, and have no recourse if the product disappoints. FaceUp’s answer is that it invests in helping clients decide before they buy — which is true as far as it goes, and is precisely why the free trial matters more here than for most software. The affiliate link goes straight to it, and it should be treated as the real evaluation, not a formality.
Three things to establish with sales before committing. Ask for the per-tier price and the annual figure together, so the “up to 30%” annual saving is a number rather than a claim. Ask what the hotline add-ons cost, since all three — including the AI hotline the site markets prominently — are extras at every tier, Enterprise included. And check whether five administrators is enough, because seat count, not features, is what mostly separates the tiers.
If those answers come back reasonable, this is a credible product for a compliance requirement that many organisations cannot legally avoid. Just do the evaluating before the money moves, because afterwards there is no mechanism to undo it.
FAQ
How much does FaceUp cost?
FaceUp does not publish prices. All three plans — Starter, Professional and Enterprise — show “Get a Quote” or “Contact Sales”, and no figure appears anywhere on the pricing page, including in its FAQ. The only quantified pricing statement is that annual billing can save up to 30% against monthly or quarterly. You will need to contact sales to obtain any number.
Does FaceUp offer refunds?
No. Its FAQ states: “Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds, as all purchases are final.” The company says it invests heavily in helping prospective clients evaluate the platform beforehand. Because of this, the free trial — which the affiliate link leads directly to — is the only practical protection, and should be used thoroughly before purchase.
What is the difference between FaceUp’s plans?
Mostly administrator seats: 5 on Starter, 10 on Professional, unlimited on Enterprise. Professional adds unlimited reporting forms and channels, multi-workflow case management, advanced analytics and native integrations. Enterprise adds SSO, advanced security and permission management, multi-entity and multi-country support, and dedicated onboarding. Core reporting features — anonymous submission, encrypted messaging, 113 languages, mobile apps — appear across all tiers.
Is a whistleblowing hotline included with FaceUp?
No, at any tier. The Automated Phone Hotline, Live Hotline and AI-Powered Hotline are each marked as add-ons on Starter, Professional and Enterprise. The AI-powered hotline is promoted in FaceUp’s main navigation, so it is worth being clear that it is never bundled — ask for add-on pricing alongside your plan quote.
How long does FaceUp take to implement?
FaceUp states that implementation is “free, fast, and simple”, takes only a few minutes and does not require IT support, with online onboarding and a knowledge base included. For organisations working to a compliance deadline, that low setup burden is one of the product’s clearer advantages, and it is not conditional on tier.
In our company, we have had a customization problem with whistleblowing systems we were using before. With FaceUp, we can customize everything we need very easily. After setting up the whole system, I delegated the management of FaceUp to someone else and their learning curve was pretty fast. Our team is grateful for FaceUp in-app materials because it provides SHORT and useful information about dealing with inside problems according to law. Communication with the reporter is always easy and comfortable for both sides.
I've got nothing in mind. Every problem (small details) we've had with FaceUp was always solved quickly.
We are using FaceUp for almost a year as the main whistleblowing system. Our employees weren't using the previous tools much, but FaceUp improved it a lot. I think it's because of its accessible design.
Having software in place which allows anybody in the team anonymously brings up pretty much any topic or issue helps us (business owners) to face the potential problems as soon as they come up. This helps us have a great company culture and team that can rely on the fact that the issues will be solved or discussed. More on the software itself – the onboarding process was flawless, and the support team was always happy to help with any questions we encountered. I'd also like to give them a big thumbs up for managing data and how serious they are about security.
The app pretty much solves everything we wished for.
As already mentioned in the first section – I like how FaceUp is really taking a good care in educating public sector regarding problems at schools, companies, groups or communities. They offer a tool which can solve a lot of communication problems down to road. Recommend!
The story behind the platform. I like that by signing up for the corporate version we are helping kids in schools fight bullying. Plus it's very simple, secure etc.
They don't currently have as good a workflow as they could have. However, I have spoken to support and they have been showing new designs of the administration where they are improving it noticeably.
I am dealing with the obligations arising from the new EU directive. FaceUp has all the necessary features - anonymity, archiving, deadline watch, automatic response to the whistleblower, GDPR compliant...
The platform is very easy to use and secure. We are receiving reports from our employees because they trust the platform. I can recommend FaceUp as a reliable solution - it is making a positive impact to our business.
Nothing at this moment. We will see if there is anything to be improved in the future.
We provide a whistleblowing solution in terms of EU Whistleblowing Directive but also as an HR tool.
It helps us to spot quickly problems in the team It was very easy to implement it. People in our team loves how easy it is to use it when they want to report an issue Our HR likes the reports and stats
I didn't find anything in particular that we didn't like. Everything works the way we expected. We are really happy with the tool. The only thing is that I wish we used it sooner.
Well, we are able to collect feedback from our teams. People have a tool that allows them to speak up if there is some problem. Thanks to that we already adjusted some processes or made changes in the roles of the people, etc.
Face up good beyond merely making us component with the regulations. It helps us discover issues within the workplace before they grow and simmer. Perceived trust has increased in the team.
Only wishing we knew about this much earlier, could have saved us a lot of trouble
Some of our management have been reluctant to implement a whistleblowing tool, but thanks to it we were able to detect some hr issues early on.
I love the potential impact FaceUp can have on students or employees, the ease of use, top-notch security, and speed. What’s more, all this comes at a surprisingly good price.
Nothing! Everything either met or exceeded my expectations.
I mostly appreciate the positive benefits on individual employees. It seems that the feeling of safety in the workplace is significantly increasing with FaceUp.
Ease of use, no need to learn about the platform, absolute protection of privacy, possibility to work on notifications in wider team, archivation functions, cloud-based solution and speed associated with it, best value to price
I do not know if it is possible to have the app in the on-premise alternative
Handling of notifications as required by the whistleblowing legislative. It can also be used to handle any other questions or problems raised by employees. Employees now raise much more issues and company found out some cases of bribery, bossing, but also improvement of business processes
- offers both a website platform and mobile app, which is also great, - GDPR compliant, - great customer support, - helps us with resolving incoming reports effectively, - great part of complex legal solution for any company.
Non yet. I do not see any downsides as of yet. I don't know what to answer here as it is a very convenient app. Of course, it is only a part of the complex whistleblowing solution.
By far it is allowing employees to have an improved user experience not only reporting concerns but having a means to have trusted conversations. Also facilitating an improved administration of the reporting system.
Simplicity, administration. The whole system is easy to integrate. Safety and data protection is certain in FaceUp. Last but not least the price is reasonable for the value it brings to our company.
I can't point out anything, the guys from FaceUp are really friendly and helpful in all inconvenient situations.
Humanity is a key to a successful business, you need healthy relations between employees to have a stable company.
It's very low-key and easy to use tool. As a father of a heavily bullied daughter I would love if something like this would be available 15 years ago. And it's not only an app and a website, but entire system including training, awareness building etc. I am truly convinced that FaceUp can save a lot of bad experiences for kids and adults.
Nothing, everybody I know likes the product.
Quick reaction on situations before they escalate. Helping to stop bullying not only at school but as well at the workplace.
Using this platform was surprisingly friendly and intuitive. It seems these guys have experience and know very well what they do.
I didn't find any aspects to dislike. Everything was working well for me.
The platform was implemented by our HR to cheer up the employees to speak up and solve everything anonymously.
The technology is easy to use, robust and safe. As a user I also appreciate FaceUp's excellent react time. As a business partner, I admire their philosophy and approach.
Nothing, I am fully satisfied with the product and support.
They offer complex technical solutions for whistleblowing which I consider to be a perfect instrument for compliance but also the development of companies and other organisations.
Ease of anonymous communication in need.
Nothing, the app works very good and it has already helped some children.
I solved that some childen used it to just try it. To me it is very valuable app, because some children are not brave enough to come, and tell me about their problems. For children it is easier to use the app. Using the app's callback feature, you can track down and help a child in need.
FaceUp allows us to get instant feedback on any process or management-related changes, which helps us create a friendly, employee-centric atmosphere where everyone’s opinion counts.
We struggled with getting people to use FaceUp at first, because it all happened remotely. FaceUp support was of great help though, and in the end it all worked out fine.
We’re using FaceUp not only for reporting of problematic situations, but also to gather feedback and other incentives. Having this kind of channel helped us figure out our employees’ needs and opinions and thanks to the feedback we’ve received, we managed to increase our management’s communication transparency.
The way we can solve any problems that occur within our company with discretion and respect to the reporter’s anonymity.
There isn’t anything to be dissatisfied with.
We are able to help our employees with their work-related or even personal problems with great efficiency. The fact that anyone can choose to report either through the website or the app is a great plus!
Not only is it a great solution for any problems that can happen in organizations, but also there isn’t any other platform that makes employees feel as safe and comfortable as this one. All of our people love and trust it, which is exactly what we hoped for.
It would be great if FaceUp had more promotion because then we would have maybe found out about it sooner.
When we encountered a case of harassment within our company, we found out people are scared to come to HR. FaceUp, on the contrary, offers them a safe space where they can reach out to anyone safely, without worrying about the consequences. It has proven effective and helped us tackle any unwanted behaviour.
FaceUp allows reporting of any kind of problems, ensuring we know about all the important things that happen within our company.
We would enjoy an offline solution as well, that would be available to our older or less technologically skilled personnel.
Thanks to FaceUp, we can make sure that everything works the way it should, and if it doesn’t, we can act on it quickly enough to prevent any damage. Because of this platform, we don’t need to be too stressed, because we know both our employees and our finances are kept safe.
In our company, we take equality, mental health, and workplace culture very seriously. We were looking for ways to ensure that all of these values are actually being maintained, and FaceUp turned out to be the ideal solution. We like that FaceUp took away the fear of coming to HR with concern and replaced it with a discreet and safe space for our employees to do so.
We have not had any issues with the way FaceUp works so far.
We finally found a way to ensure our employees can safely confide in us. FaceUp is continuously helping us to build trust and community. The overall happiness of our employees has increased ever since the implementation of FaceUp, according to our surveys.
They are open to listening to the needs of their customers
they are a small team, sometimes they need more time to make larger improvments of NNTB
We are running law advice centre and preparing special Whistleblowing Centre in Czech republic. They help us protect whistleblowers so that they can make anonymous disclosures.
We love the simplicity of FaceUp the most. It’s so easy to fill and send the report, especially since it’s customizable, and we can have employees choose different categories based on the topic of their message. Then it’s incredibly simple for us to navigate these reports and solve them, and thanks to the overviews available in the administration, we can process multiple reports at once without losing track.
In the beginning, we were skeptical of how our employees will react and whether they will want to use this platform. However, since we implemented it, we have only received positive feedback from all sides.
We use FaceUp to gather different kinds of inputs from our staff. We collect feedback about the company processes (positive or negative), check up on possible mental health problems, etc. The biggest benefit is the simplicity of having everything in one place and not needing to search through multiple channels. It’s also helpful that FaceUp offers different types of overviews and dashboards in the administration so that we can see the bigger picture too.
We offer FaceUp to our clients mainly as a legal solution for the requirements from the government. It is compliant with the requirements for the protection of whistleblowers, GDPR confidentiality, and data security standards. Since it can serve as an internal and external channel which employees, customers, and even distributors can use at once, we can recommend it to everyone. On top of that, it has many exceptional features such as customizable notifications, which prevent administrators from ever missing response deadlines from a legal point of view.
Reporting requires an internet connection at all times, which could be something to think about for the FaceUp team. It would be nice to have an offline option too.
There are many companies that are just finding out about the incoming EU directive, which will affect them soon. Luckily, we can offer them this solution. Thanks to the adjustability of the platform, it can be suitable for any company size, which is perfect for us, as we work with a variety of different clients, out of whom all have unique requirements from such a system. Thankfully, FaceUp usually meets all of them and has extra features that can hardly be found elsewhere on the market.
FaceUp goes beyond a whistleblowing channel with its features. Besides acknowledging GDPR standards and confidentiality, it allows us to have follow-up conversations with the reporters and investigate each case thoroughly. We also like that we can customize the platform and its features, to make it correspond to the specific needs of our company. Another great thing is that our employees can choose between using the web platform or the mobile app, whatever is more comfortable for them.
We like everything the app offers, nothing to criticize.
The platform helps us make sure that the atmosphere within our company is good and that our employees can function without any worries or concerns bothering them without having a chance to openly (anonymously or not) discuss them with us. With FaceUp, we are maintaining a healthy workplace culture, reducing fluctuation, and ensuring well being of both current and future employees.
We needed a tool that would work as a central system for gathering feedback, suggestions and concerns all at once. One of our main requirements was to have a straightforward solution that would be easy to navigate and manage. But FaceUp exceeded all of our expectations by offering even more. It provided our employees with a quick way to reach out to the company management with anything they perceive as important, whether it concerns personal or company issues, and our management with a lean platform to work with the inputs.
At first we expected to discover more serious issues through FaceUp, however, it is rather a good sign that there currently are not any severe problems occurring. And in case they ever occur, we know we are covered.
Thanks to the clear structure of the administration, we have a simple yet effective process handling the reports we receive. We react almost instantly to what our employees share with us and are able to have an overview of our company environment, which further enables us to improve and maintain it. Additionally, the user-friendliness of the application and administration makes everything extra easy for both sides.
Online solution, no implementation, very good price.
The technical support is only in English, I think not in the local language always.
Communication, saving time and we realize things, which would be difficult to investigate in the company.
The uniqueness of this necessary service, all the support from FaceUp. Guarantee of privacy. Possibility of multiple settings. I donť know any similar service.
It´s difficult for some employees to save the code for answers and to check the answers when they don´t know exactly when it will be available. Where would be improvements: Maybe each user can have his / her private account on the site? Maybe to make it possible to insert some internal organizational rules on how to use the service on the sites?
We had only one problem with displaying the answers - the words were incorrectly separated at the end of the lines. But it was solved very quickly and now everything is all right.
How easy it was to start using the software. No additional costs, easy online onboarding followed by quick free training.
Everything works as it should and meets our company expectations.
We collect the opinions of our employees and protect our company culture, assets, finances, and reputation.
Above all, I like the straightforward design and the ability to do everything in a few clicks. The responsive customer support, online onboarding and sample materials are also nice.
They could add a template for an internal directive in multiple languages... Although the system works in 70+ languages, not all materials are translated. But there is no problem, FaceUp translates everything one by one.
Face Up gives voice to the silent majority. Hence, it is an important part of a healthy company culture.
Having FaceUp has definitely helped our company. Our experience with FaceUp thus far has been excellent, the ease of use of the platform is amazing, along with the features and functionality. The customer support is flawless and meets the value for money. We have been using FaceUp for the past couple of months, and it has helped us resolve the reports far more efficiently than any other platform or method we have used in the past.
Although we have only been using FaceUp shortly, we are satisfied with everything it does and offers.
So far, we have been solving various small-scale issues, but we let our employees reach out with anything from problems with corporate culture to non-compliance with company regulations. A great benefit is predefined report categories the users can choose from that are manageable and customizable. This feature makes it easy for us to manage incoming reports and keep a long-time overview of the situation in our company through dashboards and statistics, which are included right in FaceUp administration. Security of our employees’ data is also crucial for us. It is a huge advantage that all the information is stored within our database and is only accessible by designated personnel and no third party.
Technically everything works fine, but success depends on implementation. We need to convince people, that this channel is secure and easy to use. We give ourselves one year for evaluation. As we don't see any technical issues, the main KPI will be the number of cases coming via this channel. As we are just starting, our number of cases is zero except few tests. My evaluation is Technically 10/10 Economically - too soon soon to say anything
Nothing actually. The idea is simple so the solution seems to be complete.
To give our employees a reliable and anonymous channel for their complaints - independent of our company. The channel should be as transparent as possible, not allowing any manipulation.
