Easy generate reports for all my departament as csv and easy trasform into excel file. Easy to check basics like general view on time per specific project or task etc.
In reporting page whend selected: "certain user" and "certain user" and "certain user" and switching between them the app is often crashing and rolls up all the users, sometimes when have this view I must refresh between it's switching screen itself on whole company wiev (in reporting), it's not huge problem but when I'm looking for something specific for a bit longer it's forcing me to reload or reopen rolled screen (chrome browser). The Scheduling and time logging is working very slowly :(
fast generating reports, booking resources, planning our work
Its fast and user friendly. team meetings go a lot faster now and we have more time to do actual work. One last feature is that make easy to coordinate work between teams in the company.
Our company accountan software is based on Deltek and we need to log time twice, one in float and one in deltek so it will be nice way for this 2 to interact or add a package for accounting.
Team scheduling and workflow.
Easy interface with drag and drop functions Colour coding fast and snappy use on google chrome Enjoy the default settings of font and page size and separations Thanks
FInding Leave functions assigning people Budget visibility when assigned These functions may exist but in the limited time I have when using float these have not been obvious
We use it as a resource management feature to get a quick overlooka t the teams availabilities I like that you can easily see and read everyones projects I also really like that I get an email saying what I have out in for that day of work
That it truly helps me organize my amount of time at work through all the different projects I work on. On the other side, it also helps my bosses to know on what I am working.
At first it was a little bit difficult to know how the programme worked and you had to investigate a little bit to know all the tools inside.
Float is helpping me organize my amount of time at work and also all my collegues know if I am currently avalivable to talk about this or that project or if they have to wait.
I have been using Float app for a few months and I am very impressed with its features and functionality. Float app is a great tool for managing cash flow and resource planning. It has a simple and intuitive interface that allows me to easily schedule tasks, track time, and monitor project budgets.
I have not found anything that I dislike about the Float app so far.
Planing work and tracking cost of projeckts.
We've been using Float for almost a half year now. We are very happy with how fluently it works. It distinguishes itself from other tools because it it not trying to be everything you might ever need. Yes, having all in one spot is sometimes handy, but not always. I you just need a handy tool that allows to do resourceplanning, have a clear resource and project overview and add some basic tasks, than this it it! The only feature that would make it even more perfect is if we could give taks our own progress labels. The tool increased our teamsplanning efficiency.
Maybe have a littlebit more integrations.
Everyone see's who is on what project and for how long. Easy rescheduling
Different Colour coding for each of the jobs helps me understand which manager the job is attached to so it is easier to connect with the appropriate manager when starting a new client.
Sometimes the website crashes and I cannot open Float on Google Chrome. But other than that there are no other problems that I face with Float on a day to day use.
Clear understanding of the week to week responsiblilities which we have to do, and the clients which we will be working on. Helps me understand the team members that will be working with me as well.
Having scheduling and time logging in the same place is great.
Having to press Esc when in the delete tool.
Seeing what I'm supposed to be working on.
Putting schedule thru the entire month ahead, able to see other workmate schedule.
Some inaccurate time that sync to workflowmax, need to verify it to ma ke sure its correct.
Project Management is the main purpose of Float in our office
Have been using float for around a month now. All looks good, pretty simple to use.
I'd add UNDO function when loging tasks. It happened I accidentaly clicked on Log and couldn't undo as I needed to do some adjustments
Easy project managment and task logging. fast, effective
That the workload is easy to see at a glance. Visually appealing, easy to use. I can plan ahead, I can track my earnings, and I can access from my phone. Really recommend
That it doesn't have the time tracking feature with a real clock tracker. You have to put in the time manually, so it ends up being the same as per the regular timeline.
I am a freelancer in the creative field, and I plan all my projects with float. I use it daily and rely on it 100% Workload, time allocated, and budget for each project/client.
The ability to conveniently plan hours on projects and set milestones, the ability to create sub-departments
That you need to separate the schedules in order to mix the number of hours on a specific day Sometimes the information is not displayed immediately when you check the reports You can improve the system with data exports, namely, convert the CSV file into an Excel file
A convenient platform, a pleasant interface that helps you easily plan hours on projects, a great schedule and the interface of the Reprot tab
The best thing about it is that with just a quick look you can check your calendar, your team's calendar and move your expected schedule around. It's pretty much all you need for time tracking.
The only immediate downside is that you can't record the exact timestamps of your work, e.g when you log in and when you log out. That has some legal downsides in some countries.
Helps track the time you spend working and identify which tasks were you doing at any point on time. This is useful when clients demand records of our work or for us to do reviews.
Quick and agile. Helps to understand what the team is working on in a glance,
UI could be better with more importance on explaining different features to first time user.
Planning and execution is easy after started to use Float
The insights that you get, for every project
The most enerving thing is that when you have a lot of project, the overview is not the best.
Planning.
Float's interface is as user-friendly as it gets, with friendly colors and a "card"-based grid view where it is very clear what tasks you are working on and what tasks the rest of the team is working on.
There was a bit of a learning curve, transitioning from a drastically different scheduling system. There are a lot of options and bells and whistles, but once you get used to Float, it's great!
Float is helping my team schedule multiple projects at a time and which team member is on which project which becomes clumsy and difficult if it's not an easy-to-use interface.
Float has a nice clean interface with a powerful search feature so you can filter down by person, client, project etc. very quickly and easily. The documentation for Float's APIs is nice and clean. Although our software doesn't naturally integrate with Float, we've been able to use the API to bring projects in automatically from our sales tracking platform.
The way that people's time commitments on other projects are displayed on every project is useful to make sure nobody is over-resourced. However this means that each project can take up a fair amount of space, and using placeholder people is a nightmare because they look incredibly over-booked.
Tracking resourcing in the company and across teams with more visability
quick and easy to use the drag-down option to extend your logged time is really helpful and time saving.
an option to drag logged projects and times across sideway to different days would be great and time saving, or an option for a saved input to be selected if you repeat tasks.
quick to use saving me time to do work and more effectively manage my time
The visibility of everyones schedules at
the way splitting tasks works, can be difficult
I can see what I'm doing on a given day, without waiting for a PM to be aviliable
I like how you can personalized your experience on the site.
Sometimes it can be easy to get lost in different tabs, especially other people's schedules without knowing
Workflow is being solved and utilization is being monitored on a regular basis.
