OnPay Pricing Reviews
Ease of the software. Customer Support is always good.
Cannot think of any at this time. Have not had any major issues.
They make processing payroll very easy. The other company I had charged such an outrageous price. They are very affordable for a small business.
First off, I love the customer service. Any and all questions I have had were answered quickly and with care. I feel like they actually care if I know what I'm doing. Quickbooks payroll cost more and was less user friendly and the support left you with more questions than answers. The ability to integrate with Quickbooks is really nice. The people at OnPay were able to take all the information from Quickbooks and copy it over. That saved me a ton of time. Plus when I needed more pay items the people at OnPay gave me what I needed and then some. Once again, great customer service. Onpay itself is super easy to use and really intuitive. The layout and colors are just right. As the bookkeeper, I will be using Onpay all the time for payroll. I love the way everyone can add photos to their profile. I work mostly from home so I don't know everyone. OnPay gives me a way to make a name with a face. For the staff, OnPay has a great setup. They are able to see all their information in one spot.
I wish there was a way to get back to home or to the dashboard once I click on My Roles. I end up using the back bottom on the web browser. I wish that banking information could have been transferred. It has been difficult to get the staff to enter in their information. I wish there was a direct way to send out another invitation with a link for an employee to get into their account. It seems like everyone misses the first email and the second email doesn't contain a link.
Quickbooks payroll was too expensive. We are a non-profit and money is tight. We were struggling with employees only working a couple of hours during a pay period and having to pay $10 to Quickbooks for each of them. OnPay is cheaper and so much more user friendly with people ready to answer any question I may have.
We decided to leave Gusto after several errors and because they were doubling our montly fee. On Pay has a very favorable and straight-forward pricing system, they have excellent customer service and the transition from Gusto was extremely easy.
When I run payroll, my reimbursements are included in the gross pay number. It is NOT actually included in gross pay. It is taxed correctly (meaning it is not taxed at all) and shows up accurately on the payroll reports, just not on the quick totals after I run payroll.
I have six employees and two contractors. The difficulty is that I have employees in multiple states. OnPay does not charge me extra for running multiple states, and only charges me for contractors and employees if they are paid during that month.
Onboarding our new employee was made very simple. Our specialist was very helpful and patient with me for our first payroll run. Pricing was easy and fair. They made a daunting task simple.
I didn't have any issues that weren't addressed with ease.
It helps me stay compliant with payroll taxes.
I can trust the system. It is a huge time saver.
I don't have any. The system functions properly and if there are any issues, the support team promptly answers.
Saving time by streamlining the internal process.
Once the employee details are in the system, it's so easy to run payroll, and all the Federal and State taxes and end of year tax docs are all taken care of.
From the day I enter payroll, it takes about 5 business days to get the payments into the employee accounts, which feels long to me.
Easy, accurate, cost efficient processing of payroll and handling all payroll taxes. Saves me time and money versus doing it myself or asking my CPA/accountant to do it.
The on-boarding was smooth, and OnPay's tax filing was simple to set up too.
No quarterly payroll schedule was available, so this type of secondary payroll can't be scheduled ahead.
Quickbooks Payroll had become unaffordable. OnPay offers tax filing, and affordable and flexible direct deposit for staff; it's a user-friendly product with features we did not have with Quickbooks Payroll...but at a lower cost. We also took advantage of the "free first month" offer.
I especially like that Onpay takes care of the uploading of prior data. That can be very messy when clients try to do it. Customer service is always very helpful as well. The program itself is very easy to use and accurate. Also I love that it files the taxes and forms automatically. This software is perfect for one to 20-ish employees, which is my target market. I also love that the pricing is very straightforward. No "hidden costs" that crop up later!! That is such a huge relief from prior systems I have used.
I really would like the ability to put a couple of clients on "autopay" that get the same amount each period. I would really like the main dashboard improved as well. It is not easy to tell who has not run payroll yet. It would be much easier to have everyone on one screen and then a column that shows "current week processed" with a check mark or something similar.
I needed an easy-to-use, low cost payroll option for my small employers. I like that they can process everything on their own instead of my having to take the time.
