It works, and works very well, from the little things like having all the chats in one place, to being able to stream to so many networks without having to have 20 computers uploading the same footage. the support team are incredible and i have no idea where i would be as a streamer without the use of the amazing platform. 20/10 will more than highly recommend
support for instagram and facebook channel streaming, i don't know many streamers who like streaming to their walls and i wish i could connect my platforms without having to rely on premium and with the very nice looking facebook streaming platform i really wish it wasn't exclusive to the package
multi chat, being able to outreach so much better, access to sponsor and promoted content, the speed, work use of restream FTL is working again, i could write a book of all the problems that using restream in continuously solving. NEVER STOP! AMAZING PLATFORM
I like it, it is very easy to configure, it allows me to publish my live broadcasts with multiple services simultaneously, it also allows me to publish messages through links to the most popular platforms on social networks. It gives you an incredible speed of transmissions. To start running everything is really fast and very easy.
I like everything, it is very complete, and it meets the requirements optimally. Few cons and updates very often.
It is excellent, it has allowed me to grow quickly and with good training as a creator, in addition to being able to share my content to a wide audience and on different platforms with excellent links. It is an optimal service, I have been able to create and develop my brand, my personality and my name. The best.
SO happy that I'm using Restream! Streaming to 30+ platforms with a touch of a button! Simple setup for an incredibly customizable, innovative and powerful program! I don’t know why I haven’t used it earlier. What I like about Restream 1. The ability to stream to more than 30 platforms 2. The Restream Chat feature 3. The Analytics 4. Real-time channel toggling 5. Restream Monitor I used to stream to Mixer, Twitch and YouTube at the same time and Restream was the best service for doing so. Due to it, I don’t have to choose only one platform for streaming my content. Restream is easy to use and they are constantly updating the features, making improvements. As I stream to three platforms at once, I have lots of viewers and commenters from all these three platforms. To keep the communication going, I am using Restream Chat to monitor and reply to comments from Mixer, Twitch and YouTube. OBS integration and social media announcement post setup are two easy integrations I would like to point out. Restream makes using the services and features really easy, with minimal effort or issues. I used Restream for almost two years and will be using it again in the future, when I come back to creating live video content.
Initially, when I wanted to stream to Facebook, too, the Live Event setup rarely worked with any issue. Besides, I had to pay for all Facebook features. I now know that streaming to Facebook groups and personal pages is free but haven’t tried going live on this platform yet.
I saved time on building my audience on three different platforms. I stayed connected with my viewers and kept track of their comments
I love all the features it packs, and the core features of it being free and easy to use.
I don't have anything I dislike about it, everything is easy to use and works well without any issues.
It has helped me reach more viewers in streaming.
Due to Restream Social Alerts, I don’t have to manually copy and paste the links of my live streaming - Restream does that automatically once I go live. The Dashboard is very simple and the onboarding process was very easy. Especially now that Restream has this new Restream GoLive feature, I am going to come back to this service once I need to multistream. This feature enables me and my clients to go live right from the webcam. It is easier than installing an encoder. Restream support team is amazing. Whenever I had a question, I just asked it in their website live chat and got a quick response from their 24/7 live chat support team.
I am not a heavy user so all the features I am using, are quite satisfactory for me. There is nothing I don’t like about what I have with this multistreaming service. When I was using an encoder, the setup process was not easy for me. This is because I am not a tech person. I would like to get more guidance on this. There is lots of information on the dashboard, but maybe a gif, a short video tutorial or something like that would be better.
Restream is very easy to use. It helps me reach more audience because I can stream my live videos to all of my desired platforms at once. Multistreaming is very handy and Restream is the only service that provides high quality.
1. Easy to set up 2. Easy to connect to channels 3. Lots of platforms you can connect to 4. No bitrate limit 5. Go live without installing any software
I only had one problem with Restream - the chat didn’t connect with Mixer chat. Then we solved the issue.
It’s a good practice to multistream. It’s even better when you do it with Restream.io
+ Easy Setup: Way easier than trying to figure out implementation on OBS and ensure it works. + Saves Streams: Streams are automatically saved, making them easy to download! + Customer Support: Had a question about their features and their support responded extremely fast in live chat and was extremely detailed. Great support!
- Doesn't Save Streams Over 6 Hours On Free Plan: I had a stream go over 6 hours while trialing Restream and needed to download it. Unfortunately, they don't save them over 6 hours on the free plan!
Restream gave me an easy way to stream on YouTube and Twitch, and save my streams
No editing is required. I can play a pre-roll, post-roll and add graphics live
I dislike the fact that there is no automatic transcription.
Video podcasting is easier with restream
I can't say enough good things about restream.io! After using xSplit for a long while, I was having some problems with bandwidth so I was looking around for something that would allow me to multi-stream my streams more effectively. Since I was already using OBS, I knew it would be an easy transition to use Restream. It's so easy to set up and only takes a few minutes to get going. I was able to immediately get 0-lag and was also able to try out a lot of different bandwidth settings to make sure I was getting the most effective one for my situation. Since the views of our broadcasts have increased and donations have increased significantly and I don't have to worry about whether or not I should be streaming on one platform or another. I highly recommend checking out restream.io, you're going to love it!
Restream provides a very useful service for people who want to stream but they need to make some improvements on their branding. The branding on the site is too much and it makes it seem too corporate and not personal. Also, the website isn't very interactive and the colors are not as vibrant as they could be. However, It is a very useful tool and it is very easy to use.
If you stream live events, you'll know what a hassle maintaining an audience is. Not only do you have a high channel capacity in place, what with multiple computers pumping content across the web, but you also have to handle the viewers coming in through your stream. This is a very difficult task, especially if you want to have an interactive audience. This is the first of the main benefits the Restream add-on for OBS grants the user. Not only does it help broadcast your live stream to a much larger audience, but it also manages the stream for you. This means you'll never have to worry about stopping, starting or stopping your stream for your viewers again. Not to mention that it's also incredibly easy to set up. You can sit back and relax while your audience rises.
Restream gives us the ability to multi-stream 'live' to both YouTube and Facebook simultaneously without needing to use any OBS software installed on a local computer
The one thing I dislike about Restream's Scheduler is that it needs any pre-recorded videos over 2GB to be uploaded and scheduled at least 2 hours before streaming is scheduled to start.
Due to the global Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic, the church needed to be able to 'live' stream services. However, the internet connection in the church is terrible and was not up to the job, and Restream gives us the ability to record our services and then stream them as if they were live. The streaming service they provide has meant that we have been able to continue to have our services throughout the pandemic and even increased the number of people who have been able to participate in them.
The scheduler tool makes automating a livestream simple. It's also great for streaming to multiple platforms, such as Facebook Live and YouTube Live. The support we received while having an issue was also prompt and comprehensive (they have 24/7 chat support). Streaming from their servers, using Scheduler, is also a great solution if you have somewhat spotty internet reception (which we have). We used to get regular disconnects or would have to severely throttle back our quality, now it's just simple and straightforward and we don't have to worry about any of that. It's great!
There's a charge for the main service and then an additional charge for Scheduler. Scheduler is one of the main reasons why we went with this software, and will most likely be well worth the $49 extra per month. It just removes so much manpower from the streaming process when it's all automated. We just check in on the software as we're going live to double check everything is set where it needs to be, then we just sit back and let it go. We did have a random disconnect at one point, which may have had to do with our video bitrate. Their support team was helpful in diagnosing the problem.
We used to stream directly from OBS several times a week, which required a lot more hands-on work. It also relied on our somewhat instable internet connection.
What I love the most is how easy it was and is to get up and running with Restream.IO. Simply start an account, add all your relevant platforms, grab your RTMP keys and away you go! Their chat module makes it easier than ever to have all of your streams communication with one another and you the same with all your viewers (supported and compatible platforms only). With no caps or limits, they make it easy to justs get going!
Sometimes connectivity isn't perfect but that is a rarity, nearly all streams will go through and end perfectly, no matter their duration. Managing users across all platforms can also prove very challenging.
Being able to get my content to multiple platforms simultaneously allows me to reach a larger audience with great ease. This can present partnership opportunities very rapidly with multiple platforms.
Reastream is extremely helpful for live streaming to multiple platforms & multiple audiences at once. Without their service, it would be impossible without having an exorbitant amount of hardware & internet resources. It is very easy to setup pretty much any service to restream to as well. Support is quite excellent, they respond quickly & are very helpful.
They seem to take quite a while to add chat support for new services. When DLive started getting more popular, it took about an extra month or so for chat to be supported. I really dislike that you have to pay extra to stream to a public Facebook page (not personal) & it's annoying to have to pay for a single custom RTMP, but at least that one makes more sense. They seem to be trying to drop support for Windows 7, since Microsoft themselves are.
I primarily live stream to YouTube, but I wanted to reach other audiences as well without having to sacrifice one over the other. There's a lot of people who only watch Twitch, Mixer is getting more attention & DLive as well. It's helpful to stream on multiple platforms so you can reach more people.
Great service with a ton of flexibility when producing video
Its made for streamers not really business who want to stream content or events
We wanted something that could stream a prepackaged video, restream could do that (ie schedule it in advance). Its made more for someone who is live streaming content or conversations, which is great, just not what we where using it for.
I used this as a Technology Coordinator for a church congregation's Sunday service live-streaming. I liked that Restream allows you to stream simultaneously to multiple social media platforms from one user interface
It was a bit difficult in the beginning learning the user interface, and it seemed like every time we logged in, there was some delay or issue with the password.
The problem Restream helped to solve was live streaming a weekly production online to Facebook and YouTube simultaneously. This allows church members who are unable to attend due to the pandemic, access to still experience church community, and stay up to date on the liturgy.
The ability to add on screen graphics and branding
Not as mobile friendly as I'd like - it would be cool to see an app
Ability to reach a much larger audience with our live videos by streaming to multiple channels at once.
There are many alternatives to Restream but In terms of technology and support, I really like the Restream App for multiple streaming at the same time. Restream team is adding new features and updates regularly, they have added Restream Live (Stream Directly from the Webcam), Widgets for your sites and OBS, Facebook Live on Personal page on a free account, LinkedIn live. With everything is going live due to pandemic in 2020, Restream has launched "Restram Studio" with this you can directly broadcast to multiple channels directly from your browser. Not only limited to Gaming but, it is Useful for Online classes, webinars with overlay graphics and company logo. Another great feature I like is you can schedule your live stream with uploaded video, so you don't have to be on camera when online. There are some time and event slot limit, but it is useful feature.
In terms of technology Restream is definetly awesome tool, but when you host Facebook Live they will add link to the description like powered by Restream.io for paid users as well, this description need to be edited manually after going live.
I was using OBS, but with the Restream I can also schedule the live stream when I am not available online.
I like the User Interface. It was simple enough to navigate. Restream has a simple way to connect each platform from which to stream. I liked how I can record live or upload a video for later publishing.
With all of its benefits and abilities, I could not get Restream to connect to my computer/system in order to actually stream anything. When I chatted and ultimately called Restream, they were unable to fix my connection. Further, I had paid for the annual subscription, and even though we were working on my issue with connectivity for weeks, they would not refund my subscription without a lot of hassle.
Restream is one of the few platforms I tried to use for my Church's Online Streaming needs. I ultimately went with Restream for its ease of use and cost. I'm sure that if I could have gotten it to work properly, our streaming ability for the Church would have been amazing.
- You can quickly enter the streaming room after a Stream is created. - Restream made connecting to LinkedIn and YouTube reasonably easy. - Restream seems to have an excellent Discord integration, but it's not something we used.
- While we were using the product, it was a pain to set up the stream. You would have to go to YouTube and schedule a live streaming event. Then come back to Restream to connect the scheduled event to a Restream based streaming event. The process was relatively unintuitive. - To my knowledge, after using the service for four months. There is no way to invite multiple people onto your stream. It's just you. - Very limited customizability on the display of YouTube comments during a stream. This feature is something Streamyard does VERY well (we switched to them because of this).
We were looking to stream live Q&A sessions to our YouTube and LinkedIn communities
