It is a bit costly and somewhat complicated for first time users,
It keeps me from having to burden friends and relatives.
Rover's site is easy to use and has an accessible interface. It did not take long for me to figure out how to create my profile, find possible sitters, and reach out to request their services. Rover's app version is solid as well and allows for communication between client and sitter without needing to share phone numbers.
Rover takes about 20% of the sitter's fees. The average client might not tip their sitter either. I think the site should be more transparent so that clients know that the person they hire is not earning the full amount that they are charging.
Going out town has never been easier with Rover. Within minutes, I can find people with excellent reviews to come and take care of my pets. Each person I've spoken to on the site has been professional, friendly, and an animal lover.
The app and service itself is fantastic, what a great idea! I'm both a Rover User for my pets and Rover Sitter, so I'm experienced on both levels. I've never had a bad experience with any of the sitters, and I've always had amazing customers that have found on me on the app. Customer service is superb, and the app itself is very straightforward and easy to use.
I can't think of anything I don't like, so far so good!
I no longer have to stress out my pets using traditional boarding, and it's easy to find house sitters and dog walkers. It's also a great way as a sitter to make extra money as a doggy daycare provider or dog sitter for other people.
Rover runs background checks on all their pet sitters, and you have to complete quizzes in order to get hired. This ensures you actually about taking care of animals.
It's difficult to know what the customers are like. I trust the pet sitters, but not all the pet owners are trust worthy. I've definitely been in some sketchy situations as a pet sitter through this app.
As a pet sitter, Rover has allowed me to expand my business. As a pet owner, it has connected me to other pet sitters in the area when I'm in a pinch and need someone to watch my cat.
I love that I can see the location of people who are willing to take in my pets

We are able to travel more without worrying about my pet.
Rovers creates the best way to connect with sitters with less commission fee & help them pet owners as well.

Best in market and easy to use
It is easy to find reliable sitters through the Rover site, and I like the fact that Rover has insurance -- I have actually made use of it when my dog got ill during a Rover stay.
Prices can be a bit high since sitters choose their rates.
I have gained a lot of flexibility and peace of mind when traveling -- I don't have to worry about my pet's health or safety.
The platform is easy to use and visually pleasing. Rover provides access to a large number of local pet care providers.
Prices for many care providers are a bit steep. However, I have only ever received quality care.
I have been able to secure care for my dog and three cats over my wedding weekend. During this busy and stressful time, I had peace of mind knowing that my fur babies were cared for well.

That you can add many job titles not just boarding or dog walking

I am a dog groomer first and it's my passion I used to have to put boarding as my listing they now fixed it so grooming is my listing
