Setapp have consistently added new apps. I've discovered found some really useful utilities I didn't know I needed. Even if I only use them occasionally, it's great to know I have them available when I need them.

The only downside would be having to switch back to individual product licenses if you closed your Setapp account.

I dislike that some apps are removed from the app store. It doesn't happen often but if it's an app you heavy rely on it can suck. It would also be nice to extend to iOS devices/apps without having to pay an additional fee.

Setapp bundles hundreds of useful apps in a single subscription price. The monthly fee is worth is for CleanMyMac X *alone*, but you also get unlimited access to a whole library of useful utilities and tools, some of which are now essential and integrated into my daily workflow.

The best thing about Setapp is the large number of high-quality apps that are available to subscribers. I also like being able to test apps without committing to purchasing them as stand-alone items.

The only apparent downside, in my opinion, is that some bundled apps don't update as quickly as their standalone counterparts. Usually, this difference is only a matter of days, so it's not a big deal to me.

Setapp allows me to install apps that I use daily and apps that I only need infrequently. The quality of the apps is fantastic, and the range of offerings is impressive. Apps are updated regularly, and there are many that have companion apps for handheld devices. I love the fact that instead of having to manage subscriptions for a pile of apps, I only need to manage one subscription, which is very reasonably priced.

To be honest there are tools I don't use but nothing negative I can say about Setapp.

I use Setapp for a number of things, Clean My Mac helps maintain our systems and keep them running smoothly. we use other apps for tracking time, finances, and calendars, we use mind-mapping software out of the toolset. Literally, 45 platforms or so, the cost of one of them is more than the entire cost of Setapp itself. I could not recommend Setapp more highly to any Mac user.

The best set of tools you can find for Mac and apple device users. I use at least one app per type and I'm trying that I never thought I'd buy, but since I'm there, I use them.

It has some very useful and powerful apps available. A couple of the big-name apps they have make the whole subscription worth it and mean the rest are a bonus.

If you get used to an app and it leaves, you will lose your access. This doesn't happen too often, and when it has happened they do seem to seek a satisfactory alternative.

Setapp saves me from buying new apps 80% of the time when looking to solve a problem. It makes my mac a powerhouse and pays for itself even with just a few installs.

That moment you need something you really don't have budget for is always such a brick wall to the workflow. That moment is now turned into an on ramp of joy so the benefit isn't just practical it's also about well being. When you're trying to get things done the answer should always be yes, with SetApp those roadblocks almost never show up.

The cost does add up over time so there's that. It's a privilege to talk of the subscription fee as a thing which takes away financial barriers. What it really does is smooth that barrier out and make it affordable but it may still be out of reach for some.

As an independent freelance business my cash flow isn't always ready for those moments where I suddenly have a specific situation with a client that is infrequent but urgent in the moment. Often these are moments where you'd think "I bet there's an app for that" and wind up on the app store trying to make do with a free / freemium - you know, where you later discover the one thing you really wanted is behind the paywall, etc... But now that I have SetApp this is almost NEVER an issue because invariably I find far more often than not checking there first provides exactly what I needed. It's true there may only be one or two options for that thing, but they're always up to the task. The "free" apps in SetApp are not junk apps, they are premium apps I wouldn't want to buy if I only needed them once or twice but thanks to SetApp I can.

I do wish the iOS apps were included in the main subscription, but I understand why it is charged separately.

There are utilities and apps within SetApp that I can't live without on a daily basis. I'm able to do things more quickly and more efficiently.

The selection is pretty great and they add to it fairly often. It covers a range of categories, for designers, productivity, Mac system tools, video editing, writing, and many more.

The annual subscription cost is still a little high for me. Also, on very rare occasions they remove an app from their library, which can be very frustrating if it's an app you've incorporated into your workflow.

Sometimes you need the right tool and the ones you have just don't always cut it. I've found apps to solve those specific instances but also found new apps that I wasn't aware of, which have broadened my capabilities and improved what I can produce at work.

I don't have to scout the entire internet myself for apps or tools that help me: I see Setapp as a curated set of applications. It feels like I can trust their collection more.

Setapp is a software subscription that allows Mac users to access software for day to day issues, without breaking the bank on the most recent updates or versions. I like that I can try things out and only use what's most useful to me right now, so I don't have hundreds of useless programs lurking around. It's easy to download and I can keep it on my navigation bar to go directly to the site or load what I've already chosen. While it was not an issue when I first signed up, at this point in time, I'm glad that it is a Ukraine-based company and I can feel that I am supporting Ukraine.

The main drawback is that I sometimes forget to check what's new and I might miss something that could be truly helpful, or spend time noodling around what's potentially interesting, but doesn't really solve a problem.That latter issue is my own, though and not Setapp's.

Some of the software helps me declutter and keep my computer clear of junk. Others that I use, are a VPN, a video editor, enhance my presentations.

We purchased the team version, however, due to the team churn, our seat has decreased 33%. However, Setapp cannot provide a refund or reserve future credits. And even if we have extra seats, we still need to purchase extra devices for the existing users. Also, we encountered 1 bug. We were unable to assign a seat to a member who had expired the invitation before. What's more bizarre is that we first canceled next year's subscription and contacted customer service to decrease our seats. We see our seat is decreased (no refund BTW), however, the subscription is toggled to renew again. I wanted to recommend this to other teams. However, the entire pricing drama is depressing. Not professional.
