Sharetribe Reviews: 4.7/5 — Highly Rated
The customer service is just on another level. I've never received such an excellent customer service from any software company. They really care about you and your issue.
There is not really a downside. The software has a great design and all functions you need to get started with your marketplace (Sharetribe Go).
Thanks to Sharetribe, I was able to launch my marketplace for a fraction of what it would cost to build one.
Technology Customer Service Ease of Using
Nothing at the moment. Sharetribe is great to use!
We have been able to build out our tech in a low-cost manner yet with fantastic quality. Sharetribe is very easy to use and intuitive. Our customers are always going out of their way to tell us how much they appreciate our technology and it is all due to Sharetribe!
Sharetribe has made the set up of our marketplace extremely seamless, and their resources and support team have been exceptional. I highly recommend this software to anyone looking to build a world-class marketplace fast, with room to grow as needed.
We would love a few more design customization tools for the user profiles and listings dashboard.
As a digital marketing educational institution, we've solved the problem of playing daily manual matchmaker between our students and the freelance digital marketers they're looking to hire, while capturing a commission along the way.
They are always there to help and everyone on their team (even the CEO) is very involved in making their users' experience enjoyable. I also like their solution so much, because using sharetribe I had the chance to test a very quick MVP without losing money.
Nothing ! They're the best solution for marketplaces out there.
I developed the MVP of my startup without losing money with a costly development. It also helps to have a "tech" solution without recruiting a "tech team" for early-stage startups. I paused for now (Covid related) but planning to come back using their FLEX solution which will allow me to improve the service for BabyHop members and also to test a new business model without having to "break something specifically built" at the beginning. I love the flexibility you have when using Sahretribe.
Sharetribe has been the best turnkey platform for building marketplace MVP's in my experience. I built Studiotime with it (www.studiotime.io), in addition to 10+ other marketplace MVP's. The platform can also be customized using front-end development with the hosted version as you scale. The team is also great and supports their customers. Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about the capabilities of the product, how I've modified/customized it to suite my needs, and how it might be suitable to you. You can see the Studiotime case study using Sharetribe at http://bit.ly/2gXICOV
Due to the lack of an API (currently), the hosted version is a bit tricky to modify but can certainly be done. This does require development/code skills, but is still much more cost efficient then building a custom marketplace.
I built the Airbnb for music studios Studiotime (www.studiotime.io) with Sharetribe. Sharetribe has allowed me to build an MVP as quickly as possible, focus on market validation, and easily scale the platform from the tech side.
The interface is intuitive. There are plenty of choices, but not an overwhelming amount. It keeps you focused on the core of what a marketplace needs to be - a place for buyers and sellers to connect. Other platforms with no-code builds either were too lean, or too complex ultimately negating the mission of no-code. Sharetribe strikes a nice balance, especially for thinking through what functionality is a 'need to have' vs a 'nice to have'. Docs pages, pre-built integrations, and implementation of the marketplace was clear and straightforward (even as a non-technical founder).
It's certainly geared toward physical good and booking marketplace. but their roadmap and product / feature releases certainly indicate a path towards encompassing more diverse marketplaces. Inherent to any no-code solution, there will come a point where code might be required for the final 10% of your specifications, but getting the initial 90% makes developer investment lower and allows you to be very clear with what requirements remain; you're not staring at a blank page wondering what needs to be completed.
As a solo founder that is not a developer, Sharetribe has allowed me to build a working marketplace to test the idea, generate user interest, and understand in detail how the workflows and processes need to look. Before Sharetribe, I was considering hiring a developer and effectively starting from stratch, but Sharetribe did 90% of the heavy lifting, prompted me to ask questions I didn't think to ask, and narrow my focus to the essentials of a marketplace build.
Sharetribe is very quick and easy to set up! The built-in features are really intuitive while still giving you enough flexibility to accommodate different use cases. I had a two-sided services marketplace place set up with LinkedIn sign in, custom profiles, payments, messaging, approval workflows, etc. all done within about a day just using the Go product. Most features come default on, and you can just turn off what you don't want - rather than a lot of no-code builders where you have to add every module or extension to get the features you want. The admin tools are also really great out of the box. Help docs and resources are quite robust, and up to date. really nice, clean UI.
Like any no-code builder, you'll eventually run into limitations if the marketplace you want to build has some unique workflows to it. I probably would have switched to Flex if I'd continued with my project, but just didn't have the time to continue.
Sharetribe is perfect for people who have a marketplace idea they want to get up quickly and test. Even if you can code, it would take months of work to get the same feature set you get out of the box with this - so unless the marketplace has a really unique set up, it really is the best.
Sharetribe has excellent help documents on every query I have had. Even if the feature is not offered, there is an article explaining a workaround. Super useful!
There are a few features that would be nice like integrated subscriptions and refining user actions like posting listings. The landing page could also offer a bit more features for the price. Quantity on items would be super helpful for stock management, and event items cannot currently be accommodated (i.e. x amount of tickets).
A platform that integrates back-end coding that can be accessed via a front-end interface. Startup can be done faster than getting a coder with less risk and time.
Pricing is reasonable with the number of features they provide.
Admin tools could be better with more insights.
We are fulfilling our customer-facing E-com requirements based on our business.
Easy to use and set up. I am able to reach more people with my products. I prefer Sharetribe GO.
I don't have any bad things to say, it was very easy to setup. I didn't have any issues.
I am able to reach more consumers with my marketplace versus just using Facebook. It has made it easy to make more profits and only took a small amount of time to setup and I can access everything from my phone.
