Easy to use templates produce quality results. Online support very quick when I stuffed up my password change.
Can be a bit fiddly to make multiple changes
Client and internal presenations
I really like the animations and icons. They are well designed and fit most of my needs!
I don't like that I can't click through my animations and record my voice like I would be able to in PowerPoint. This makes it tricky to make the animations and narrations flow together. Also, I was disappointed that I cannot add music AND voice in Visme. I need to choose one or the other.
Right now we are creating short presentations to accompany our blogs.
The templates are really beautiful, and I appreciate that you are able to customize most of the elements available in the Visme toolbox (icons, shapes, design elements). It's also convenient to have the Unsplash photo library accessible through the Visme panels.
I wish my Wacom pen tablet worked well on Visme. My pen tablet really helps me ergonomically, but it did not register well at all with Visme. Also, I wish that there were some kind of warning regarding the file size limits for the export to PowerPoint option before I was at the very end of my project. More importantly, with the PowerPoint export, I was assuming that the design components of my Visme design were going to be editable on the PowerPoint export. I essentially have to recreate the design in PowerPoint now for the presenter to be able to make last minute changes. I also wish that there were a way to constrain proportions when sizing up or down images/elements.
Customer service has been attentive and professional. Coming up with ideas has been easier with the template library provided by Visme. I like that this is a web-based app so I can pick up my project from any computer. I love the ease of sharing my work with my colleagues through Visme. I love the auto-saving feature as well.
I enjoy the range of free media they offer, from photos to illustrations..they have a nice variety and I see original imagery. This is in comparison to Canva, which I feel is really the leader here and the better design platform. However, Visme has some good content in its own right.
The way that Visme has to "refresh" the page every time you move to a new design..it is so time consuming to see this interstitial page pop up every few minutes. I wish there was no refresh issue. Just keep us on the page.
Visme helps us design presentations and graphics in house with no design skills..it is simple to drag and drop and anyone can be a designer with their templates..
So many options make my job easier. The branded works are great idea starters. Excellent quality in creative and ideas. The software is easy to learn and the materials are uncommon but very good.
Better communication with support, such as a phone call over back-and-forth emails.
The problem with images that are too common, ability to customize a complete brochure saves loads of time. We are more productive due to Visme.
Visme has a variety of templates to choose from to help create multiple projects.
I find that the stock photos are not as extensive as I would like. I am often left searching for open source photos to help complete a project.
Visme helps my organization create eye-catching designs and summarize vast amounts of content for people to digest in an aesthetically pleasing format easily.
Ready-to-use templates are an excellent starting point for beginners who want to kick start designing graphics. They have a built-in image library that gets you access to almost any image on the web.
A presentation/slideshow created on Visme is not available in .pptx format thus making it impossible to open it on Microsoft Powerpoint.
We create: 1. Client presentations 2. Instagram posts 3. Banners 4. Visiting cards
I spend a good part of my work day on images: choosing, sizing, making sure complete photo attribution is provided … so I have tried several image creation services over the years. Visme.co boasts an intuitive interface between me (not a graphic artist) and a robust set of tools that include: Extensive stock photo library Large selection of fonts* Templates for social media graphics, infographics, printables, and presentations Photo enhancement tools to increase color saturation, add filters, blur, and overlay Photo grid (collage) capability Support for branded content
Not all features are intuitive. I had to go hunting to figure out how to do the things I wanted to do.
I use Visme to create images for social media and blogs.
I like that this tool takes the fusion of many different tools, expressing its most functional aspect via the simplicity and intuitive feel for creating content. It's a rich content tool that makes any team a content-making machine without having to be a professional graphic designer.
Sometimes the interface is buggy, it has some quirks, not all functions are very intuitive, and take a bit of playing with to get the hang of. Mobile is sketchy which is not ideal, as we're on the go and work extensively from mobile platforms.
Small team needing to produce pro content. So far we're still in the initial stages and haven't yet measured any benefits.
The templates are phenomenal, and make it really easy to have great design, layout without trying too hard.
I expected the presentations to be more interactive from a user perspective. Things like hot-spots, or clickable areas to expand. I was hoping to use it for a more dynamic presentation than a PDF, but not as much work as a custom website, but it's closer to a pdf/powerpoint than anything interactive.
It's a nice presentation alternative to google slides. Very fast and easy to use for a higher quality end presentation.
It's easy to use and can be adapted for many industries - i use it for a charity and can certainly help me create impactful marketing materials for a low cost
It's not the most intuitive at times - I've been searching for the templates section for about 10 minutes now!
Helping with a small marketing budget
It's great for simple infographics and presentations. A variety of templates are available that you can customize for different purposes. You can create almost pro-looking infographics with a few basic templates within Visme. It's much easier than trying to design it yourself if you aren't a designer. This software really allows non-designers to do more and add more design elements to their published work. You can save and publish files in a variety of formats when you're done, which is also really great for using different types of web publishing.
It's more challenging to customize infographics, so you pretty much just hope they have a template that's close enough to what you need. Sometimes the variety of templates isn't extensive enough, so it's hard to find what you need, especially for the paid membership. More options are available for pro accounts, but it's still very limited and the membership doesn't always feel like a value.
I've been able to offer infographics to my clients to go along with the blog posts I write for them. As a writer, this software really allows me to offer more and make my blogging stand out.
I like that the platform has a variety of different, easy to use templates from e-commerce Webinar Presentations to marketing plans, pitch decks, birthday slides, whatever you want the sky is the limit on your imagination of how to re-imagine those templates. Some templates you stumble upon and are blown away that someone put the time and effort into creating them and you did not know you needed them in your life until that minute.
That my account always seems to have. a notification saying your account has reached over 80% of its storage limit. Which requires me to Upgrade to a higher plan for more storage and unlock more features. I purchased a lifetime deal they had before now all the new features like videos are not included in my package. so if I want to create videos I have to leave the platform and go create it on another video platform that doesn't have those restrictions. But I get it they have monthly expenses.
Saves time and helps when you have run out of ideas on what to create it gives a great place to start and you can add your own spin to things.
The website works well in designing nice graphics - I did well by beginning with a pre-made template which was aesthetic, and modifying it. The UI was generally intuitive, fast and looked good.
There is no option to download a project for the free version of the software. In any format. So although "80% of the functionality is free", you literally cannot download the work you've done when it's completed.
Effectively communicating with different parties using powerful graphical reports of events we are running. The goal for this is to help us keep collaborators in the loop.
Much easier to use for creating an animated slide deck than PowerPoint alone. You can download your slide deck as HTML and then present it live. That part of the visme product is fast and clean.
There is no way to download your "presenter studio" recorded presentation for editing. You can only embed the studio presentation, as-is, with no editing. That is not ideal for anyone creating courses, since there's no way to edit or upload your presentation into another platform, such as teachable or samcart. Also, no refunds, as I learned when I discussed the lack of notification about this problem with visme customer service. Their answer was no, despite having just purchased the product. More detail about what I tried... I found no easy way to record an editable presentation with audio from within visme. The only 2 options for making an editable voice recording are: 1. You can record an audio file for each slide separately, then attach the audio to each slide individually before downloading your presentation. That is extremely cumbersome for a large presentation. 2. You can download your presentation in HTML5 from visme (which retains the animations, but no audio), then use something like Camtasia to record your screen while narrating your audio. That method generated some fuzziness to the slides instead of the crisp slides originally designed in visme. 3. You can download the slides into PowerPoint from visme, then record your presentation from there, but you lose many of the animations that make visme a nice product. You're back to mostly static slides. So essentially, visme is good for building animated slide decks for live delivery, where you can scroll through your slides on a screen while you talk, but there's no internal, native way to save that recording for later editing.
I wanted an easy, fast way to record and edit my course content. Visme seemed to solve that problem when I previewed it, but after purchasing, I realized it didn't fulfill that need.
Simplicity, Creativeness, User Interface
The Customer Service, The Managers, Inconsiderate Policies - "A non consumercentric approach to business"
Saves time thats all. Good for a rushed job.
That it was marketed in such a way that I thought it would meet my needs and look great doing it - but Visme is VERY limited in capabilities all the way around. Voice overs - terrible process. Stock photos and templates - absolutely painful to look at 90% of them.
Most everything once I actually paid the premium price to start using it. The templates were a disappointment for my needs (9 different projects in 6 different industries. Google presentation software and select anything EXCEPT Visme and you'll be happier.
THere is no benefit to using Visme - especially if you are paying for the "premium" upgraded account. SO limiting in so many ways. The marketing team sure did a great job making VIsme look like a must have shiny object, however it is more like a lump of coal unfortunately.
The designs were nice and simple to use.
I selected the one-month premium and paid $60. A month later they automatically charged me and refused to refund me.
I just wanted to make a nice presentation.
Nothing, its full with bugs, the support answer before you do your payment and than just block your account.
I write this with hope to protect other people, who may try this software. Visme are scammers! They provide a service, that can be done with better quality with Adobe After Effect for smaller amount and without bugs. When I paid only for one month, I couldn’t understand that there’s no option to NOT save your credit card in there’s system and every month they took money directly from my credit card without notice and my permission. I understood this too late, when all of my saved money were taken! I am unemployed and asked them for refund, but they never answered and blocked my account!
No benefits, for me Adobe After Effect is better, cheaper and will never stole your money!
The templates are fun and far better for my needs than similar products. It's also relatively easy to use, though the font options are very limited.
Everything else. It sounds extreme, but it feels extreme. It's one of the most frustrating products I've ever worked with. * Undo has no consistency. If I move something, the undo MAY or MAY NOT move it back to its original location. If you undo the text, it may or may actually delete the whole thing. * Adding a templated block is actually impossible. There are no options that aren't premium, but you also can't exit out of it (at least in Chrome). * There's no REDO option. Because undo works so terribly, there's also not an option to redo the change. * It's difficult to clear the board and start over on a clean version of a template. I've had to fight with it for about 10 minutes before it finally did it. * I could go on, but I'll throw this out there: Keyboard short cuts are very inconsistent in working. You're better off just not using it at all.
I was looking for a way to make a chart-based infographic. Visme had the best ready-to-go templates I could edit to my needs. However, the issues were just too overwhelming.
