Adobe Captivate Prime offers a wide range of invaluable features that can streamline the training process for larger companies. Freedom of organization: Captivate allows you to manage large training modules and you can assemble the structure according to what you think is most appropriate for that training. Intuitive interface: The look is clean, pleasant and intuitive. It is not tiring for whoever manages the modules, nor for the users that carry out the training. Also, the price is very competitive, considering Adobe does not charge customers any hidden costs such as installation, setup and maintenance. Finally, Adobe Captivate Prime offers a free 30-day trial that gives you the opportunity to try before you buy.

There needs to be more video tutorials for beginners. The navigation and stability on the mobile learning apps need to be made better.

Adobe Captivate Prime LMS has a responsive design that help me to view the same online course across various devices seamlessly. Its HTML5 output gives mobile compatibility to the course you created. Adobe has added number of features to develop responsive eLearning and to convert legacy courses to responsive so that they work across multiple devices. You get fully responsive themes with eye-catchy backgrounds, fonts and layouts. Also, you will find responsive sliders, responsive motion effects, responsive interactions, and responsive text support in the latest version.

I like the level of functionality present in the platform

Pretty steep learning curve. But there were a sufficient amount of reserouces to help.

The user experience. I think the design of the site is maneuverable.

The slow loading of the web site. I noticed it took at least 20 seconds.

The software can be pretty complicated to use and took me a very long time to figure out how to achieve my desired result. I ended up just using different software.

The UI / UX was very polished, and very intuitive from both a developer and student perspective. Pricing was also reasonable.

There is no ecommerce functionality natively supported. This was important to us and was a reason we decided to use different client.

We were looking for affordable, customer-facing option for hosting our web based training material.

I liked the ability to auto assign courses to reps using Learning Plans. The availability of skills was also good for gamification within LMS.

The skills editor and assigning was very difficult to understand. Most of the creator had hard time understanding how to best design skills. Course creator didn't have much rich text editing capabilities like Articulate Rise 360 or medium or other rich text editors.

Onboarding sales reps to company's disciplines.

The system is easy to use and provides a good starting point for creating learning content. The system works well in integrating into other Adobe products which we already use.

The price. It’s a little out of our price range.

There isn’t really any tool that does everything we need in terms of authoring contend. You can put together assets in photoshop and put them into PowerPoint then share in Moodle but in captivate it’s a much smoother workflow.

I love that I can customize tests to randomize questions and the answers. Visually great and gamification is wonderful. Being able to upload the courses from the desktop app, directly to the website is so convenient. Updating certifications and other documents in the content library is ridiculously easy too.

Taxing on the computer. Whenever I change the timing on a slide, it freezes for 4-7 seconds. I tried changing the timing on several slides at once and immediately regretted it. There is no explanation for certain things that happen too. Like you can't change the timing on particular types of slides, but it doesn't tell you that. It just reverts it back to 3 seconds. Exporting answers to a test is formatted horizontally. Makes it difficult to use. Should be vertical.

My company used a more primitive LMS service prior to this. We are now able to track and create engaging tests and certifications. Definitely better learning retention from test takers. Employees are passing tests in just 2 attempts, rather than the previous 4-5 attempts.

I've been using Adobe LMS to deliver internal software training and best practices to staff and partner clients

This LMS brings provides a lot of good features (Gamification, Offline learning etc...). It's important when using an LMS to know you'r scalability. LMS such as Cornerstone may not too much for your oganization. This LMS is a perfect mid-level LMS that you can manage yourself.

Geared towards Employee/Internal ccreration training.

My organization trains vendors and supplier... we need extensive permissions, white label, Customizable calendar and widgets and separate software integration (Webex etc)... this LMS provides more of an internal training employee appeal.

Attractive and intuitive platform. The all-in-one player dubbed the “Fluidic Player” makes adding content from popular providers simple with all require plugin preinstalled(PDF, PPT, and DOCX files, and xAPI-, SCORM-, and AICC-compliant packages). Basic gamification with the ability to customize pages and complete for course completion points with co-worker is helpful feature to promote friendly competitiveness in the office.

nteractive content for Q & A, quizzes that would allow companies to check for user competency are not built into the product. Interaction from 3rd party products are available, but this is an added step and cost. Data gathered on users is limited to completion of courses and time spent on courses. This data doesn’t provide companies with knowledge of user proficiency.

Professional experience, easy setup

I find that captivate prime has most of the current market standard features plus more. From features such as setting learning paths for students to others such as reporting, gamification and user tracking etc. I found the set up easy enough, even as a new admin user and was able to load content within a few minutes. I was especially impressed with the simple interface that reduced the platform learning curve for me and the course set up/deployment time. I think the option to breakdown a course content upload to three sections (core modules, prework modules, and testout) is a great feature. Although a little more work, this would improve tracking and provide more detailed usage data/student interaction with the modules. I also liked that it has gamification elements available for use for individual or group learning. On the pricing module, I like the flexibility to add and remove users on a monthly basis, which is ideal for selling subscription-based courses.

I would like to see a pricing module targeted at educational institutions as there currently doesn’t seem to be one. It is unfortunate that it seems only targeted at corporate institutions at this point.

Providing corporate and educational institutional e-learning needs requires a robost, responsive and modern platform that is easy to use (by admins and users), responsive for multi-device deployment, provides accurate usage tracking data for content review among others. Adobe Captivate helps meet all these for my training needs

Excellent Multi Tenanting configuration for a business GROUP. Branding a good idea. Love the email templates and automation within the system. Programme and Learning Plans with certification levels Gamification and badges. Commercially viable product and secure. Love the booking Virtual class sessions and face to face Lessons with Very good Tracking and accountability built in. As a registered Adobe user, quality is very high I recommend the integration of Adobe assets with this LMS.

Found the course more suitable to commercial application. It is important to have all your assets ready to start building the course and it would take some planning beforehand. This is not an LMS for lighthearted course development, and I do see this LMS as best suited to an ultra security conscious commercial environment that protects its assets like fort knox! For this reason alone, as a business, I would buy it.

It is a great product as part of a Programme of On-boarding; CPD; and Certified achievements for specific progression in roles at work and also on an Apprenticeship Scheme to manage; track; and record lessons learnt and use it as a tool to book sessions that are recorded for due diligence

It gives the ability to create learning paths to help employees who may need to achieve specific performance goals, as well as develop particular skill sets.

The setup and design were a little bit complicated and tricky.

Learning how to properly train staff and this is benefitting by seeing which employees need more help.

I'm a e-learning developer, so I have seen a multitude of LMS interfaces. Captivate Prime is new to the game, and has brought a slick UI that is not seen on other "out-of-the-box" solutions.

Would like to see an "embeddable" player for content

We didn't have any way to track and assign our training. We have now found a solution in Adobe Captivate Prime. Our learners now have a UI that is familiar and they can work to earn badges and complete training.

Customization and being able to stand out

Robustness. It can do a lot if you know how to manipulate the product or where to find information that is clear/concise.

Lack of intuitiveness. Steep learning curve. There are loads of tools to make it easier, but it’s still complex, and many tools you have to understand what they do or they aren’t all that helpful.

Providing all services using one product. One of the biggest issues with many online courses is that the course is a single solution designed to accommodate multiple learners. Adobe has overcome this.

There are so many different things you can do with this; like with all Adobe systems, the functionality is vast, allowing you to take your training to new heights.

It is difficult to get familiar with and get started using/switch over to because of the depth of the features.

At this point, it has not yet solved any issues, however, when we have more time to experiment and learn, it hopefully will.

Captivate, while not our ultimate choice for an LMS is a really good option to take a look at. The learning features allow for great creation and flexibility of content.

There's not anything I specifically dislike -- the program lives in the adobe cloud which is helpful, I think more integration with other apps like Google would be helpful.

Problems we are solving are not immediately identifiable.
