The interface is easy to use and there are samples to guide you. Adam is accessible and has some great advice. I love the tracking feature... no more waiting around to see if they received or viewed the proposal. Yay!
I'm very satisfied with the service. Adam is upgrading and enhancing features all the time.
I can get proposals out much quicker than before and they look great.
It's really easy to set up a proposal, as they have templates (always adding more) and the editor interface is very intuitive and simple.
Nothing, really. But they could implement auto-responders or something similar to automate follow-ups and all that.
I can sell digital services a lot faster, as the templates let you provide a lot of information in a simple, yet deep way. It's very visual and easy to navigate, so even the non-techie clients will be able to understand all that you can offer to them. Also, you can implement a live chat widget, so you can solve any questions in the moment, and that's priceless. Say goodbye to 1000 emails about the same topic.
It makes it easy to create professional proposals that are easy to read and will help you close business with prospective clients. Clients can then sign the proposal, if they agree to your business proposal.
I don't think that I can term anything a down-side, but there are some limitations to how you can set up pages in the proposals. Not necessarily a down-side, but something to be aware of.
It makes it easy to create proposals and helps these proposals present my business in a very professional way to potential clients. It also sends me a notification email when the client opens the proposal and when they sign it. This allows me to know if the client has read the proposal or not.
Proposals are easy to write within the interface, and more importantly easy for recipients to read and review each section for necessary info including terms. UI is easy to navigate and use for beginners and advanced users.
If anything I would like to see more integrations with other software especially CRMs. I'd also like to see an easier way to change between themes and also editing the setup.
Writing proposals for our services as a marketing agency.
I’ve tried all the different options for proposal software and this is the best. It’s clear, clean, and easy to create new proposals. It also offers a ton of info about what people view on each proposal, live viewing and how much time they spend on each section. It integrates well and has all the bells and whistles. Highly recommend.
I’d like to customize it a bit more but admittedly haven’t spent enough time with it to figure out how to make the visuals a bit better.
Improved proposal process and increased engagement
The web form factor. The structure of the proposals
Printing can be a bit odd in the layout. Not major flaw.
The ability to send long form details of the value i will bring to my clients. Im solving the problem of not closing enough sales. Now with Better Proposals i close more deals. What i like best is the wow factor of sending a proposal through my own link and my own email domain. It truly gives a great impresion in my prospects mind. Nothing like entering the battle with the negotiation terms in your favor. Better Proposals pays for itself every month. Its an invaluable asset to my sales department. I can say without a doubt that the Better Proposals team are headed in the right directon. Cant wait to see what they will come up with next. The service is great. Im very happy with them . Support tickets does not go over a day without an answer. And the team even review and critique your proposals so you have better chances of success. The level of attention is amazing. As the pace this company is disrupting the proposals space. Thank you from a very glad User. Hope you stay around for the many years to come.
Integrates simply with GoCardless, which integrates with my accounting software Xero. Simple to use and presents well.
The document builder is missing some basic functionality such as the ability to duplicate sections, and also change anchor points from one content block to another.
Helping me present proposals in a professional way, that helps to build trust and reputation with prospective clients.
ability to generate proposal on the fly for multiple uses
so far nil, perhaps more templates would serve customers better :)
the layout of this tool is right on point, exportable as PDF as well which makes communication with client easy
Speed - I can go from a consultation with a prospect to sending them a proposal in minutes. Whilst I haven't tried it, I would be happy to build a proposal in front of a prospect, showing them complete transparency.
The pricing tables don't accommodate hourly rates and estimates. The language used in this section is fixed so I can't use it, but there are ways around it.
I've struggled to get printed terms returned to me - it's easy to forget that many business owners work from their phone or tablet, so having an electronic solution just makes sense.
I like how I get notified when my clients read my proposals. I also like that the pages can be separated through tabs so it's not too long.
I hate that they make it too difficult to change plans and upgrade to yearly subscription. The billing page is hidden and it was difficult to cancel my account. I used them for a year and found it iffy that I even had to pay 3$ to pause my account and that they will immediately clear out my data after my subscription.
Writing proposals
Better Proposals is a super easy platform to send proposals. It gives it a very Modern touch by giving it a website flow feel to it. It definitely stands out from the rest. They also give you good templates to work off from.
I dislike the fact you cant add multiple pricing tables within a single proposal. I also dislike the cancelation process.
The way we send out proposals on the fly. befgore we would send out via word doc and with better proposals it looks much more professional and its kind of fun oddly enough.
Almost everything. It looks professional and impressive to end user
It's thee most UN-user-friendly program I have ever tried to use and all you get are tutorials to wade through and try to figure out on your own instead of easy-to-access customer support.
Nothing. It just looks more creative than a paper or PDF proposal
Integrates with STRIPE. Should make payment commitment easier.
A system update on their end deleted blocks of proposals at our end, including past / signed proposals. This is dangerous. They did restore that content when I complained; but that content was agreed payment terms and should NEVER have vanished. That's a big problem in my book, that goes beyond user issues and stuff like that. Using the system is clunky, and links within explanations often go to other explanations that have been deleted / removed or are just broken links. The support team is UK based, so if that timezone does not mesh with your operations, then steer clear as you are unsupported when actually using the system; or have to commit to some after hours work just to use something that plenty of other companies offer. I cannot see any compelling reason to stay.
We were using it to acquire new business. It was a legacy system. I've used it because there was nothing else.
It was something new- but I did a mistake joining.
I'd got the demo learned then sign to try to send one proposal to a customer: The proposal never arrive to my customer, terrible software, crash a lot, still need improvement, very basic, AND customer support ONLY contact you to get your money, after that you are in your own. 2 weeks after joining and still customer support don't answer and my meeting is today!. I will use email and Power Point to be safe. Don't waste your time and money. TRUE.
Nothing the email never arrive to my customer
It has a nice layout . It is asking me to fit 40 characters but there isn’t much good to say. They had a major crash and did nothing to fix it.
There is a lot of crashing in general and a lot recently with their server crash. They have terrible customer service. I have emails to verify this information. Check their recent reviews.
It was good at first then glitches and crashing. They didn’t fix the problem.
