"I love that it is very easy to use."
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

One of the best features of bitbucket is its easy continuous application for our products. Furthermore, we don't need to use the GUI with the simple and reliable command line interface.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Few data can be improved about GitHub and the appearance and feeling of watching a large number of branches.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

It did great work in the maintenance of repositories, projects, etc. In addition, without being concerned about the cost, unrestricted private repositories helped us build additional projects. It provides a simple programming gui.

"Awesome tool for code collabration"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

good code review system, it allows JIRA tool integration, it has built-in issue tracker, it offers a distinctive feature for developer and reviewer interaction. It lets you set up the workflow of build-test-deploy instantly, by enabling the pipeline feature of the current repository. They limit the number of users account

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

They limit the number of users account. Also pricing could be adjusted to attract more users.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

UI/ UX could be improved. Bitbucket has been a part of our operations since the beginning, and it comes with built-in CI/CD. When we push to the repo, Pipelines runs, and it calls the webhook to deploy it on our servers when it passes.

"Great private git repository for us"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

It is free if you don't need some sophisticated feature. If you just want to store and manage your software project, free is enough.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

I don't know. I just know what i like about bitbucket.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had 6 people working on same project at a time. So we need to manage revisions and bug. With bitbucket, we can do both and other things easily.

"Great option for source control management"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket has an intuitive interface and is easy to set up. Because your source code is stored securely on the cloud, collaboration with remote teammates is straightforward.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

User access management isn't as easy as it could be. When someone leaves your team, you may find that they still have access to individual repositories. If you have a lot of repositories, it can take quite a bit of time to go through and make sure that permissions are defined correctly.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket allows us to enforce better source control practices. If a new bug has recently showed up in production, we can review previous commits on Bitbucket and revert to an older version of our project if need be.

"Bitbucket is my primary storage for code online."
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Remote collaboration of work, versioning system to keep track of major changes, branching to make commits presentable and pull request for code review before merging into the development branch or master branch. Automatic merging and resolving of merge conflicts if there is any.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Its kind slow these days as they are always experiencing problems with their servers and it limits the size of repository for non paid accounts.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket is helping me store my code securely in the cloud and it helps check the code for bugs as well. It helps me to deploy same code base to multiple servers or sites.

"Useful software"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

The Bitbucket platform allows consistent and robust collaboration since code management is more efficient. It also works perfectly as a repository. It's great for project planning, CI / CD tools only extend the versatility of the software. The system allows us to monitor the code, so we know when and how changes are made. It is fast, visual and easy to use.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

I currently have no complaints about any specific feature of Bitbucket.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows us to develop software effectively. Bitbucket helps accelerate workflow and improve productivity of our development team.

"Best git tool available"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket pipelines are a great way to integrate our codebase with other tools (AWS, Azure), and it has the best code review interface of all the different Git interfaces I've used.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

They had some down time issues last month, but nothing to serious. I don't think I have any particular dislike.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket pipelines have been a great help for us to streamline our our code processes, from code review to CI (through sonarqube) and CD (with aws and azure). A developer pushes his code and, after it being approved, it all goes down automatically.

"Bitbucket is a great Git client"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

For me personally, the best part of Bitbucket is the free private repos. I've been using Bitbucket since I was in college and having free private repos was essential because I couldn't risk posting code to a public repo where it could be accessed by other students. It's easy to set up, regardless if you're creating a new project or adding to an existing project, and it has the ability to work with multiple useful integrations including Slack.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

One thing I dislike about Bitbucket is that there isn't as big of a community compared to Github. Not a huge deal, but I've found that Github is more helpful when it comes to solving issues.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket has made it super simple to add version control practices to our organization. Because of the integration with Slack, all of the developers can easily see and review each other's code from right within the appropriate channel. The creator of Bitbucket, Atlassian, also created SourceTree which is a free version control tool that makes it so you don't have to rely on the command line. It works really well and has boosted productivity.

"Git made easy"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket is a really good code management software. Best features I like are how well PRs work, the PR comment system and code diff features. Also, restrictions on repo based on who reviews the code is great. Integration with Jira is also very cool.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

We should be able to change repo specific parameters like diffing algo from interface itself. Rename detection threshold should be in repo settings itself.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket is our lifeline at work. Everything we do revolves around code, PRs and repos and bitbucket helps us doing all that very efficiently. The emails notifications are very detailed and very useful.

"Best product for Web based repository management."
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

For working on any higher level project in team , I recommend to use Bitbucket as it provides number of useful features such as source management, branch tracking, commit details, pull request , pipelines ,etc. I liked very most branch tracking , pull request and commit features. As higher level project, there exists so many branches, commits , but by using Bitbucket,it gets simplier and easy to track source related to particular branch , latest commits and its source.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Sometimes Bitbucket server goes down or unavailable due to some issues , this can cause problems when we need urgency to have access to Bitbucket repository. Sometimes, process is also slow down and Bitbucket becomes unstable.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Bitbucket, if you need any repository urgently , you can just get it by cloning after login to Bitbucket. If you don't want to make repository publicly, you can make repository private. Bitbucket is also integrated to Jira , so this collaboration is very much helpful to deal with smart commit feature of Jira. Another benefit is code review using pull request feature. It also provides test and deploy code functionality using pipelines.

"Great Integrations!"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

The integration of Bitbucket with the rest of the Atlassian suite is great! Making it easy to manage our whole development process from within one system. Its also great how we can link Jira tickets to the commits made in Bitbucket making it easy to track the changes that where made to solve bugs.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

The code review / merge requests page could be made a little simpler, it can get a bit crowded when there are a lot of file that have changed as they are all displayed on a single page.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

We wanted to move to Git from Subversion and found Bitbucket to be the best choice as we already where making use of other Atlassian software such as Jira and Confluence.

"We use BitBucket at work for Git services"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

It is pretty easy to use and maintain. We use BitBucket as a team and we can all collaborate and comment on one another's code

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

There's not really any downsides to BitBucket. It automatically inserts 8 spaces for tabs which is kind of annoying but I can live with that.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Teams need to share code so that they can add to one another's branches and review what other team members have been doing.

"Excellent Features "
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket is the best Git repository one can have. It has lot of excellent features which manages different kind of Git repositories all by itself. You can easily clone the respository to get access of the source code. Creating branch with different category is very easy as well. You can create pull request and also add different reviewers so that they can review and approve the changes. Reviewing the source code/changes is very good. You can add comments on specific line or even a whole file. You can integrate source code analysis tool like Sonarqube to make the better code. You can also integrate other 3rd party tools as well.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Although Bitbucket comes with great amount of features, it is somewhat costly if you are working on small organization. But I think it is still worth buying it.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using it for maintaining my source code at Git repository and also I am using it in my organization. It helped me a lot in sharing the source code with my team members without any problem. It maintains the code very well.

"Best and Secured Source Code Repository"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket is one of the best secured source code repository which provides bunch of features. The main feature which it provides is integration with many other external tools. In that, you can integrate Jenkins with Bitbucket which helps you to run specific task/job to ensure that everything works perfectly before merging any changes. Apart from that, it provides other important features like creating branch and pull request easily. You can even do code review of generated pull request and adding comments on specific file/code is very easy. It also provides history of code changes which is very helpful feature to have for any developer.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

The one thing which I dislike about Bitbucket is that it does not have good user interface. It has very simple UI but it should have been better.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitbucket is the best source code repository which helped me a lot in maintaining the source code and to share it with team members. Integration with another tools like Jenkins helped me to automate the process as well.

"We use Bitbucket for our small team. "
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

First of all it is free for small team. For bigger teams it has really reasonable prize. I personally love and prefer Atlassian's products such as Bitbucket, Trello. Atlassian team continuously improves their products. Since I started using Bitbucket 5 years ago, they added many features. It has no limitation and pretty good integration with trello, jira and other project management products.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Fortunately, during last 5 years we didn't face any difficulties using bitbucket.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Perfect Git Repository for Organization"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

It has very robust and simple user interface. Switching from one repository to another is very fast and easy. The best feature which Bitbucket provides is it's code review system. Through it's code review system, you can easily provide code review comment and even discuss on particular points which is very good feature to have as it helps to increase code quality. Apart from that, Bitbucket provides different kind of reports which helped me to understand the progress of the project. Another important thing is that you can integrate Slack with Bitbucket so that you can get all the updates like new bug creation/progress of the task in Slack.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket provides all the features which is required for me and my organization. There is nothing much which I don't like about Bitbucket.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

"really brilliant and easy to use version control system"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

I am a regular user of bitbucket, before I have used SVN but its very limited to do things and later used git installed in my own server but missing interaction between the team member and versioning, later switched to bitbucket which solved many of my issues, it has a good interface and easy to navigate to repositories and create PR's easily and share with the team to review code and comments and compare the code side by side.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

I like the pipelines but it needs some more improvements like Jenkins/ Concourse and select languages when creating a repo needs an update and also sometimes i experience loading issues.. for ex: Bitbucket is experiencing an incident, but we're on it. Check our status page for more details. More info

"Reliable code repository based on Git"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket from Atlassian is best git based code repository. It works quite smooth with all their other products like JIRA and confluence. I find it quite easy to use. The web browser based app helps us get an over view of active branches, review pull request, get history of file, differences in commit, commit history etc. Easy for me as a team lead to conduct code review and get release code branch and maintain a neat code base.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

As of now no complains, it saves me more time spent in code reviews.

"Good value for growing business"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

What initially attracted me to Bitbucket was the free plan for source control, for up to 5 users. As a new company starting out I wanted to keep costs as low as possible, and so this was the main reason for signing up. However now we have grown out of the free tier, Bitbucket is still competitive with the other products on the market, and it has been easy to introduce continuous integration pipelines and run them in parallel in the cloud to minimise the time to run automated tests and deploy.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

At the moment it isn't set permissions on tagging which is something we would benefit from https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/10967/restrict-pushing-git-tags-to-certain-users

"Bitbucket - A good web based version control repository hosting service"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

I like that it offers unlimited number of private repositories with its free account. It offers a big selection of add-ons and integrations from the atlassian marketplace.as well as support for REpresentational State Transfer (REST) to make third party applications using any development language one desires. Also, a feature I have come to like is the ability to host static sites on bitbucket cloud.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

To get all the tools and features offered by atlassian is by upgrading to the premium plan.

What problems is Bitbucket solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hosting our code on bitbucket cloud to enable our developers to sync from the bitbucket repository. This has enabled us to have developers work in different branches of the same application and merge into master branch without having code conflicts.
