Box is SO easy to use. Collaborating with coworkers has never been so easy. All projects we work on are put into Box.
I wish Box was more widely used. Some people still prefer to use Google Drive but I feel Box is safer.
We solve a wide array of issues, including program and classroom assessment. Almost all of our work is done entirely through Box.
How it slows the team to communicate and document conditions of animals and trucks Very useful database for organizing transports
I like how box utilizes affective communication among staff members as well as helps keep everything organized for transports
Communication within the team Effective organization for all transports Check in/out animals
Box is a great tool to allow you to access files across devices and collaborate with other users.
When collaborating with others on certain files, and having items synced to your desktop, it is challenging to lock the file, preventing other from using it at the time.
Sharing items and information within departments as well as campus wide with different working groups.
I can access Box from my laptop or phone, give access to 1 person, a team, or anyone in my company - it's a tool that's very easy to use.
I couldn't figure out how to unlock a document from my phone that I'd locked from my laptop. It was an annoyance, but I just waited to unlock once I'd logged in at work.
It's a collaboration tool for my team - it's much easier to share data here than it was in SharePoint.
I love that Box integrates seamlessly with Microsoft software and allows for real-time collaboration on word documents.
Sometimes there is a little bit of lag when working on word documents through Box, this could just be due to poor internet connection though.
I solve sharing documents with team members through Box. The data is kept private so I don’t have to worry about confidential information being released, and the collaboration in real-time allows for members to work on documents simultaneously even if they are located far apart.
We use box because it’s very intuitive, easy access and the data is encrypted which is the best part.
Version control can get a little difficult but easy to manage.
Multiple people sharing files, especially for Rollup’s and always changing data source.
Box is straightforward and user friendly
I do not dislike anything about box as of right now
Box has given us unlimited storage benefits with no problems accessibly our files.
Box is efficient and truly helps with our team coordinating client files. It is easy to share files and my entire team is constantly connected to the most updated version of each file.
There hasn't yet been anything that I have disliked about this product. It is simple and easy to use.
We are using box to have shared access to folders with our team and our clients. We can easily search, email links and send files back and forth to each other. It saves time and that is most important!
This software is easy to use, inexpensive, and does exactly what you want it to. I like that you can use it online, or download to to use on your desktop. Being able to track who is working on files online and when things have been updated is super helpful to avoid double-dipping work.
The only problem I have encountered with Box was trying to change accounts on the same laptop. We had an employee move on to another position within the company and her laptop was passed on to the new hire. For some reason Box wants to keep both accounts on the laptop, no matter how many times we have tried to remove the first employees account. Not the end of the world, but a little annoying.
This has allowed teams to share and collaborate on massive amount of files and documents seamlessly from the cloud. I love the different levels of roles you can have within files, which makes managing them much easier.
It is a convenient way to rapidly upload and share a large number of large files with a variety of people within and outside of the organization, with easy and intuitive controls to customize access, allowing additional individuals to share the files one uploads with yet further people, as well as add, delete and manipulate files. This is especially convenient within large organizations, where it is necessary to collaborate between a number of large departments. You can easily separate projects by folders, each shared with a unique group of people with the customized levels of access. Box for Business is customized to seamlessly integrates with our other institutional systems, and despite the scale on which we operate, we have yet to run into any difficulties quickly uploading and instantly sharing hundreds of large files, or locating individuals across our organization which employs thousands.
We are fortunate enough that our organization has seen fit to provide this service. Unlike other file sharing services, like Google Drive, this customized and seamless integration with our other institutional accounts that allows for such ease of collaboration comes at a cost.
We have used Box to manage an application process bringing in up to 700 application files that must be shared with two centralized committees comprised of people from disparate departments, while a third department level process sees several different committees operating separately on an internal basis, that must also have flexible access to a portion of the files.
I like the fast sync between offline and online works and also across different computers. This is so amazing!!
Nothing so far I dislike about this tool.
Nothing has been problematic. Fast sync between offline and online works and also across different computers makes our research project fast paced and easy to navigate.
The ease of file sharing with off-site partners
I have no current issues with the software
We run a lot of data/model sharing across campuses and between a variety of personnel. It has allowed us to integrate our team seamlessly as we swap students on and off of projects.
Box is a storage site like its competitors with a few features that set it apart. I'm glad the team switched over, because it has made sharing files much easier and more secure as well. The business content management tool though are the biggest selling point. You can't get these with other, cheaper products.
Because Box is less popular than some of its competitors, there is less integration and support for it versus Google Drive or Dropbox.
Sharing spreadsheets and other files in a secure manner with our own software and working with freelancers has been a challenge, since they had no remote access. This has solved that issue.
Box is secure and reliable. The data is encrypted despite the ability to access information on multiple devices and multiple users. In addition, the storage capacity is great.
I wish every email could have their own files
Streamlining- we avoid having to find the right person with the right files. We can simply create a folder for everyone to access important documents
Box is great to use not only for internal purposes but to share content with those not in our organization. Whether it be for recruiting purposes during the interview process or for meeting with outside vendors, Box makes it easy to be able to control access points and still allow for collaboration.
For newer users or those who have never used Box before, there are some UI issues that are confusing. There are multiple asks for login even when we just need someone to join as a guest. This can slow down the efficiency process for one-time use.
Solving the need of minimal local storage and also collaboration in remote roles across the country. This makes things clean and organized.
How you can organize all your files and paperwork in one place and get rid of the hard copy. We love how you can also send a whole File to some one if they need it. Also that box archives all older version of files so you can retrieve it.
You have to make sure you organize it efficiently or it could be confusing. We use it to file Away patient files. So we have to make categories for the patients.
We us it to organize all our clients paperwork. So it is our filing cabinet.
Box offers a well built cloud storage platform. The storage offered is comparable to other clod storage platform. The service syncs with iPhone , Mac, iPad to keep Box up to date. The IOS apps are very clean and user friendly.
Limited file organization system. Storage upgrade option can be pricey.
Sharing files with other empolyees. Better file storage and organization.
The sharing tools in Box allow you to easily share inside and outside your organization. It is also the better cross-platform file sharing.
I have no dislikes of this tool, it does it’s job very well.
Box alllows is to have a central repository for files that are shared within the company. It allows us to host files and share them with customers also. It also gives us control over files when an employee leaves, allowing us to revoke access and reassign to another employee.
Ability to share large files with coworkers Web based - global access Easy file structure - search tool
User interface can be clunky at times No other complaints!
Sharing large files/videos with coworkers that cannot be sent via email
I love the ability to upload direct. No waiting. Just instant.
I haven’t found anything as of yet. So far it’s the perfect digital source.
None yet. Benefits include editing, direct uploads, sharing of all content.
I like that Box is reliable for turning things in and communicating files!
I do not like that sometimes there are technical difficulties.
Being able to communicate files between teams and groups of people.
Box is good platform as we know online drive. It is easy to upload and download fast with my file. Sharing big file is another advantage for Box as we use it everyday. Box gave us full option on file storage.
I don't have any feedback on Box. it is useful for me.
File synced and share for our team is the best solution for our business.
The ability to load documents of any file format into the cloud.
Limited upload size at certain levels of subscription.
Archival storage of documents
Easily share & review documents. We use box internally as well as externally.
There isn't really anything to dislike with this product. It provides exactly what is needed, to share and store documents.
Easily store & share documents company wide as well as externally.
- Ability to modify documents without downloading them. - Collaboration - Auto-Sync Features - Ability to share to non-box users
- Their sharing of files/documents when "checking out" needs some refinement.
- File sharing - Collaborative Efforts - Project Management & Planning - File hosting and storage
The main benefit to Box in my work is cross platform access. Whether I'm on my desktop at work or home, on my smartphone or tablet, I can access the files I need.
There is nothing that I dislike about Box.
Having access to needed files at work, home and away. Easily sharing files among colleagues internally and externally.
Box has allowed us to work comfortably from anywhere and only having an internet connection and the application or the program to access our documents in the cloud. It is a beautiful program in view, modern and easy to use. It is perfect for teamwork, whether personal, independent or in a company. You can from your free version, to a paid version if you need more space or use other tools for your company.
Box gives you very good benefits or features that really do not make you think of anything negative about it, but we can mention a disadvantage that presents differences from other third-party programs and is the little free storage it offers, since there are other companies that They offer much more.
Thanks to this program our team has been able to improve in terms of time, speed, efficiency, since we have quick access to our files in the cloud, backup copies that we usually do from time to time and the files that we need to send to our customers. Just by sharing an access link or obtaining permission to view or edit, Box makes life easier for us in our work. In addition we can make easy and simple integrations with other programs.
Robust storage and sharing, nice UI. Innovative company to work with that stands behind product.
Some service disruptions are announced to admins, but generally these are a non-issue.
Efficient file storage and sharing.
The ability to migrate between Box and Dropbox is one of the best features, along with the ability to instantly connect to most every other web service/cloud.
Storage can be an issue and sync will not alert you of full storage.
I use Box for sending files and documents to collegues. The benefits are countless.
I like that I can share all my documents with my coworkers and also start new Powerpoint, Excel, and Word documents on Box and have others collaborate. Box adds extra privacy settings to make sure things are as private as possible. It makes it simple to go back and find the things you need simply by typing in keywords. You can surf through thousands of files in a matter of seconds.
It's hard to access it when it comes to having a fluid workflow. If I am working on a file I have to manually upload it every time I am working on something. It can be disruptive unlike you clicking "Save" and its housed in your desktop. I also think there can be some room for updates to the organization of the folders in Box. I feel sometimes things get lost within because of the lack of spacing and organization of time, title, or file size.
Privacy was a big issue for our institution and moving to Box creating extra protection to files consisting of student confidential information. Also, solves the problem of losing your work in Google drive or needing to log in another type of email to access the documents. We used to use a "shared" drive through servers though, the problem was we could not access files unless we were at work, which made working remotely extremely difficult. By shifting to Box people are able to access their files wherever they are.
