Celonis is used for process minging, some gaps have been identified and improved.
The tool underlines hypothesis with facts. With this information a the discussion basis in workshops changes drastically. This means by conducting a workshop with a data foundation the potential for arguments is smaller.
The value creation is a bit harder than proposed. However this is not a matter of the tool itself, it is how you use it. Also we have experience there is a different level of curiosity and adaption to the information process mining provides across different cultures.

Celonis is a good tool for process analytics
There is area for improvement. I dont like the front end gui with the whole moving the objects - I wish we had the ability to put in the axsis manually. Most importantly I wish there was some sort of versioning or source control in place, it becomes challenging when multiple developers are working on one task.

Analysis and structure of Process get very clear. Problems within Process flow can be analysed
Speed considering the amount of data used
limited functionalities. For example, try to plot/line daily data for couple of years (for example it is not possible to set ticks properly)
How to visualize data = dashboards (OLAP + figures). Benefits: one place with all necessary information. Can push/pull data from Python. Fast filtering with very good level of segregation (different filters for different parts)
Some of the KPI's where we struggled to get hands on where readily available like cycle-time, re-work rate, automation rate, cost per item, uncovers hidden inefficiencies, compliance violations and bottlenecks in the process. Ability to develop custom KPI and analytical reports with minim efforts are a huge bonus.
built in help on the PQL with examples would take the customer visions a long way. Celonis should be made all browser compatible (some short falls are noticed in Internet explorer ex: export to excel from OLAP table)

technical issues - more or less only fast forward in new topics without completed well working solutions some times you may feel like a test subject most effects only when customer is creating pressure most project plans are heavely delayed frontend design possibilities are too low and limited working with the boards and apps is for endusers not very flexible
