I tend to get distracted and forget if I don't write my ideas but it is as easy as pressing control + command + n to open the Evernote window, writing a few words so I don't forget, and control + command + n to close it again and continue with whatever I was doing, I really like having the keyboard shortcut since I can write without moving my mouse and as soon as I'm done continue to wherever I was without disturbing my workflow.

It isn't as friendly for new users as it used to be, the free version is far too restrictive in its functionalities. I totally understand that they need to make money but by showing a really limited product you are actually losing money by scaring potential paying users, not the other way around.

Take snippets of my ideas in writing to avoid forgetting them.

I like feature to add tags and stack notebooks.

Pricing, its still bit pricy. And less storage space compared to onenote.

I click one button and EverNote is there, finish writing what I needed, saved and I can review it later, so when I'm in the middle of something and an idea comes to my mind I just use EverNote to write it down and when I'm done working with the current task or series of tasks I can check it later or even in a week and still be there waiting for me.

I like to keep work and leisure separate so it is perfect for me since I only use it in my work laptop and that's it, in that way is just perfect but if you are planning to use it on multiple devices you'll need a paid plan or most likely just use a different app altogether.

Writing down ideas that come to my mind before they are gone with the click of a button(really two since I use it in a keyboard shortcut) and close it with the same keyboard combination, minimally intrusive and highly useful.

I use Evernote for almost everything...taking notes, creating plans, checklists and even just writing down normal stuff. The ability to add photos to the notes directly and then annotate them makes it really helpful. The best utility can be derived on a iPad or a note phone where you can directly write on the note. The reason this became my go to app, is the integration/sync between various devices of different systems. I use this app on my office Macbook Pro which is also synced with my Android phone and a personal windows system. Moving between devices is just effortless.

Not much actually. I love almost everything about this app. If I had to pick one thing it would be the price of the premium version.

Productivity, sharing & collaboration and most importantly the peace of mind which it provides me when I know I can have all the data available on any of my systems in the scenario that one of my devices crashes.

It's really easy to organize my notes with EverNote, I have a folder per month and another one with really important and another with notes to delete later. I have been using this for almost 10 years and has seen a shift from 4 computers and several more phones and I have never had a problem with a device.

I can't really recommend it for new users unless you are paying for premium or only use 2 devices, the 2 device limit is a deal breaker for many and many other apps are free with almost the same functionality and paying for premium without having tested it enough is not a common choice.

I have my notes in Evernote since around 2012 as a free notes app for Android and have keep using it until now. It just works for me

I hit the status bar whenever I have an idea that I need to be written so I don't forget a good idea that comes to my mind and as quickly as I do that and finish writing I go back to whatever I was doing without breaking my workflow in any way. Another great feature is being able to take pictures in my cellphone and having them in my PC and screenshots on my pc sent to my phone

It isn't as good as it was before on the free tier, I have a paid plan sponsored by my manager so it isn't an issue for me but if you don't plan to pay and already have office OneNote is just better because of all the limitations in the free version of EverNote.

Taking notes :) It's only and main purpouse

- I run two online businesses and the amount of information that I need to keep organized can be overwhelming. Evernote makes it easy to organize and find this information again. - I love the android app which makes it very easy to take (voice) notes, scan documents, add drawings and organize them.

- The windows app does not have a dark mode. My whole pc only runs dark mode apps, so I use the web version of Evernote instead. - The web clipper (for firefox) can be slow from time to time, and once a month Evernote will crash.

- organizing all my digital files - collecting my thoughts and ideas - keeping digital copies of my important physical documents It's like an external hard drive for my brain.

I have moved between works, devices, and even countries, and my notes stay there for me, easily searchable for whenever I need them. I love the fact that the number I wrote in a quick note for a friend 5 years ago is as easy to find as the notes I took yesterday. Another great thing is how easy to classify the notes, I keep two batches, one to keep, one to delete so it doesn't get too messy over time.

I do use EverNote for work, but only on trivial things like writing temporary data and non-important information. I would not recommend anyone to use EverNote with confidential files unless explicitly allowed by your management. It's better to be safe in most countries that is a firable offense.

Taking notes in my day to day.

It's really simple to use and cross-platform (except for Linux, but works perfectly with wine since 2014) It has worked great in every mobile device I have had included an iPhone X, iPhone 7, and several Android devices passing by Samsung, ZTE and Xiaomi. Most important of all, my notes are still there almost 10 years later since I was creating notes for my college, and downloading a backup is just too easy. Long gone is my phone from 2011 but my notes are still there. Another thing I'm grateful for is that the notes can save Images. After a computer crashed because of a hard drive failure though some images were lost for good and it was a good surprise to see that I had a copy in my notes.

It's 2020 already, get a Linux version already, Wine works but still Evernote is not a little startup anymore is one of the best note-taking apps out there. It is great for personal use and to store non-confidential work files like when we do brainstorms of any kind but I don't think I would trust this with any customer data. It's important to keep a healthy separation no matter how convenient it may seem.

Taking notes, pictures and sharing them between devices

Evernote is a great way to organize my thoughts & ideas. It's very convenient to be able to create separate notebooks and add new notes in each notebook. This method keeps me organized especially when I'm on the go. The search functionality is also really helpful. Additionally I love how my notes sync across devices. Often I get ideas for social media posts, blogs, etc. while on a walk. I can just open up my Evernote app to add the idea and don't have to worry about forgetting it by the time I get home.

Sometimes I wish there was a 3rd layer within Evernote's organizational structure. I'm trying to keep my # of notebooks manageable; and thus stick to broad topics such as marketing, legal, etc. However within that notebook, I'll have a note for LinkedIn posts and have to keep a running list versus having separate notes for each.

I just love taking notes on evernote. You can share notes and literally whole notebooks with your friends. Love the ability to attach pictures. Love that ability to attach audio and voice notes. Just overall amazing.

Premium really isnt worth it. I just use the free version and its enough for the most part.

I don't really use it for business. The benefits for me is the ability to stote notes at one place. Theres more features than other note taking apps out there. The additions of pictures and voice notes is just bomb.

I love knowing I can easily toss notes and information into Evernote and never lose anything. The simplicity of having one place to store everything has been amazing, and the powerful search capability in Evernote makes it simple to find precisely what I need quickly.

Evernote for Teams wasn't my favorite environment. I've used Evernote for over a decade personally, but when we tried to implement it as a business account with multiple teammates it wasn't adopted well.

I use Evernote to organize my personal and professional life. I'm an IT Director with two young children, so Evernote is the first thing I open each morning. I use multiple notebooks to organize different aspects of my life. Benefits are primarily the peace of mind that the data I need is safely tucked away and I can find it in seconds.

It's a very productive tool to organize my professional and personal works. It has cross-platform support gives freedom to write and access notes anytime anywhere. The user interface is clean and easy to navigate. My personal favorite feature is the to-do task reminder. It provides me an on-time reminder to never get late or miss any of my tasks.

I never had any bad experience with Evernote. But I would be happier if they add more features to its freemium plans.

It basically offers me a digital notepad to write and sync my saved notes to the cloud. Its cloud saving feature gives me peace and not to worry about losing my important notes. Also, it lets me add a reminder of my to-do tasks.

Evernote is easy to use and very interesting interface. Synchronisation is quick and consistent. I like the ability to create notebooks, add attachment and write in your own handwriting. Also I can record my voice and attach to files.

There is very little to dislike about evernote. It has been very useful and reliable as far as I know.

One of the best things about evernote for me is the ability to carry all my files and write-ups with me everywhere and everytime. Even when I change devices it just easily synchronises. Writing with evernote is simple and fluid. It has alot of useful features as well, including the ability to share with others and create schedules for projects.

When I hire new contractors, I am able to easily share instructions through Evernote. The contractors are able to add to the compilation. This makes it easy to share updated instructions with new contractors. Evernote is great for creating standard operating procedures.

There is actually nothing I dislike about evernote, everything has been exactly up to par, if not exceeding my expectations.

Having it synced both in my Iphone and computer. The capability to share websites when browsing on mobile in order to save it for later. Tables, checklist with checkboxes, web previews. Capability to save some formats when pasting.

Sometimes when syncing or sharing something from mobile (specially the iOS shorcut) it is a little bit slow and clunky.

I don't forget things any more. Also, (I work as UX researcher) helps me take notes on the fly when having a lot of things and subjects to annotate. It is the best method I found so far to save things I want to buy or Im interested with but cannot buy or read at the moment, store it there and review it time later.

Evernote brings the best of note-taking to life. I think that what I like most is the fact that this software doesn’t lack anything and knows its audience. It’s also available in multiple devices, which means I have access to it all the time; I mostly use the mobile app and I love how it has good functionality and provides features that most of the time are missing on other apps. The good thing about Evernote is that it’s all stored in the cloud, so when it’s time to switch to the computer, I can continue where I left off. Not only this app is an amazing note-taking program, but it’s also great for coming up with ideas while you’re on the go. It provides me with different templates for the type of work that I need to do at the moment, which can be filled with different media such as audio, imported documents and pictures.

I feel like Evernote has grown bigger over the time, which can be something good, but it results in the platform being too full of features that sometimes are hard to understand and distinguish.

Evernote has helped me bring back the joy of writing down ideas. It’s terrible when you come up with an idea and you write it down on a piece of paper, only for you to lose it hours later. That’s the main reason I use Evernote. It doesn’t only stores all my notes and works, but also combines my coworker’s notes to build a strong communication which results in a good product at the end of the day. It’s accessible all the time, doesn’t delete anything without my permission and I don’t have to worry about missing files. It’s also a great software to track your progress as you go.

I love how easy it is to use. It did not take me very long to figure out the different tools and options for use on Evernote. I also love that it's web-based so I'm not taking up valuable storage on my computer or phone! I also use it for personal use for creating grocery lists, or to-lists as it has a checklist option that is so helpful in knowing what I have already completed I can just check my Evernote lists for certain categories!

I think I would like to see more customization as far as changing the background, the theme or colors, etc. Other than that I do not dislike anything else in particular!

Evernote has helped me to be much more organized and to be able to organize easily without having to fuss around with paper documents. What's amazing is that even if I have to use a paper document or take written notes for something, I can scan them right into Evernote into the specific folder it applies to right from my phone! This is probably the best part for me about Evernote.
