Figma is a feature-loaded design tool with tools designed to help users mockup, edit and design websites. The platform takes a more collaborative, cloud-based approach to design, which means it allows team members to design simultaneously and give each other continuous feedback as they work. This makes collaboration simpler and more effective. A free plan is available on Figma, however, premium plans offer more extensive tools and robust capabilities for web design and development as well as collaboration.
Figma is also often used as Wireframing of choice in UI/UX Design and Product Management tech stacks.

If you are a designer or company working with any sort of product design, Figma is the tool to go. Compared with other similar tools it has a clear advantage in multiple areas as such prototyping and in design systems.
The newly introduced 'Tokens' feature is super valuable and appreciated but still a little bit difficult to understand in the beginning.
Design system management with Figma is bliss. The new "Tokens" features made it easy to create multiple variations for different themes or even different breakpoints.
It is a very easy tool but it is also very powerful and efficient. Its community is really helpful for finding inspiration or useful materials for design. Its plug-ins are also very helpful.
I still struggle with versioning; I think they should find an easier way to do that. It is also a little bit harder to prototype HMIs that need to be used with physical commands such as encoders.
It helps in providing an easy way to design, share and collaborate between colleagues.
The best aspect of Figma is its intuitive interface and collaborative features, making it effortless to create designs and work seamlessly with teams in real-time.
An area for improvement could be strengthening its offline functionality to mitigate occasional connectivity issues that users might encounter.
Figma resolves the challanges of collaborative design and prototyping by offering a cloud-based platform accessible to multiple users in real-time. This benefits me by streamlining team collaboration, ensuring version control, and facilitating efficient design iterations, leading to faster project completion and improved design quality.
Figma has become my daily driver. There are so many great free resources, plugins, features (especially auto-layout), collaboration capabilities, and web access anywhere to my files (since it's a cloud-based program).
Figma lacks in one key department. The one main feature i miss from Sketch is the way cropping and editing of photo is handled. You could use the selector tool and copy/cut a snippet of an image file destructively. Can't do that in Figma. Otherwise Figma is awesome and keeps getting better. I wish the free plan was more robust, too.
Collaborative design, dead-simple to use, AWESOME features like Auto-layout and Components that speed up the design process infinitely. I am a big fan of keyboard shortcuts to optimize workflow and Figma has good ones as well.
Very easy to use in real-time work and easy to learn for the beginners also. It gives us a very nice layout grid.
The main motive of this is it cannot be used without an active Internet connection.
We can test the design using this tool. As well as we can design the pages as given in the figma for various views such as desktop, tab and mobile.
I like the variety of options available in Figma software that we can use to create different kinds of graphics not limited to only web and app designs. I used it for social media banners, posts, and other graphics. The interface is amicable even for a newbie who is starting from zero. I use it for almost every design.
In my opinion, there should be more free features available for beginners like team workplace and importing videos and animations in our designs.
I use it mainly to provide design solutions to my clients. Ease to use with less complexity and user-friendly interface with a variety of options.
The fact that it is a cloud service, allows you to work on your projects anywhere without having a laggy laptop. The boards are pretty much infinite, and you can work your whole design in it, from prototyping and wireframing, to desgining image and video assets. I can use it everyday and share all my projects with my team. It's a very intuitive platform so it's easy for any member to start using it.
As someone who is very used to adobe, the only thing I "dont like" is the fact that the comands are different, but that really is not a problem of Figma.
Having a unified design dashboard in which the marketing and the design team can work together, get assets, and review graphics.
What I like about figma is that it make my FrontEnd development easy with the Drag and Drop function that it gives. Converting from Design to HTML and CSS is very easy and Many Animations can be Implemented
What I dont like about figma is that It needs a lot of memory and Ram for it to run in your computer. In other words this appliction is not suited for low specs computer/laptop
I usually use Bootstrap framework for my design but with Figma my designing skills becomes super great, fast and easy.
I love Figma, it offers an insane amount of flexibility and it's design system features are unmatched.
I have very issues with Figma. The biggest issue I have is probably that the search feature doesn't seem to work as well as I would like it to.
Figma is our design team's go-to software for all things prototyping, wirframing, etc.
1) Integrations 2) Templates 3) Animation capabilites 4) Auto-adjust function 5) Easy to use (compared to photoshop/illustrator) 6) Collaborative functions
I would like to have simple image editing functions, like remove background.
Creating digital designs that help meet my client's needs
The user interface is amazing, it provides all the features on the sidepanes which are self explanatory. They have numbers of widget integrated which saves time looking for attachments. There are also other cool intuitive features that help my workflow a lot. It is very easy to implement which makes it my first choice when it comes to creative visuals or UI UX related tasks.
Cannot be used in the apple iPad app. For someone who likes to work on a tablet, this is a big drawback. Some controls can be a little easier.
1. Collaboration: helps multiple people colaborate on one design file. This improves communication, real time updates and reduces time consumption. 2. Vesion control: makes it easy to reverse changes from history 3. Remote work: can be used anywhere, which helps with flexibility 4. Cross- platform compactibility: Can be used on macOS, windows and web 5. Feedbacks: teammates can leave comments and feedbacks which helps streamlining the review process
Figma is a game changer for UI/UX designers, offering a variety of features like device frames, reuseable components, and wireframing feature, all in one collaborative platform. It is a boon for streamlined design work. It is very easy to use for beginners as well as experienced desginers. At figma platform that offers you to ease of implementation of a design to a prototype form.
Figma is hard to fault. It is a complete pakage for designers. Just give some more version history & team collabration for free. I'm really glad to be using the figma platform. There is sometime lack of customer support.
Figma has been a total solution for my UI/UX design needs. It is a one-stop where I can handle wireframing, prototyping & designing. Before Figma, I struggled with repeating tasks like creating from inputs, color choices, fonts, grids & shadows. But for the past two and a half years, Figma has offered everything I need in one place. An added bonus is its large community that allows me to share my work and draw inspiration from others.
I love how easy it is to navigate while also pioneering design collaboration. The way you can see people in real time, chat with them, is excellent.
The features are pretty limiting. It'd be nice to have as many features as Photoshop.
It solves the need for creative collaboration in a virtual world. Our agency is fully-remote, so it's nice to be able to workshop in real time with people from different parts of the country.
- Ease of use - Ease of collaborating between cross functional teams
- Developer mode needs some improvements
- Designing and collaborating between design teams and engineering teams
You can create the mock-ups with easy drag and drop elements. For a beginner it's a easy tool to learn.
Creating components is little difficult in figma. A
For wireframes, and architectures
I just love figma, one of the best pieces of software I have used ever. When I started using it for the first time for my first web design it never felt like first time. I got to intuitively find all the tools I needed. I like the UX of the tool so much that I have atared to use it for a smaller tasks like converting svg to png with the export feature. And I haven't even touched upon the factor thaf makes figma so great, a web app that is smoother than an native windows app... Mind Blowing...! And the ability to coloborate, which makes it a game changer.
Figma is one such rare app that I have no complaints with. I am not an expert, yet I felt like an expert web designer while using it.
I was comfortable using photoshop, hence I started designing my first web mockup in photoshop. However one of my friend suggested to use Figma, and mann and I just loved it, it was much much better experience. The first time I used it flet like I was using it for ever. I was as smooth and snappy as photoshop if not more, the basic features like guidelines, snapping, multiple screens were more easier to use as it was designed specifically for the web, I especially like these frames, and merging shapes tools. And the obvious benifit of just share the design previews over the web and ability to view real time changes (wewithout need for any software installation) is super super helpful for me.
I don't design with Figma, I mainly use it to see designs that the design team has made. I find it really easy to navigate and their are so many cool features that I learn every week. I feel I'm constantly finding something that makes my life easier.
I wish there was a guide on Figma for how to best use the platform. While I love the fact that I keep finding new features, it annoys me that I went so long without knowing them. There are a ton of features and it is not easy to master.
Figma helps my team create and share wireframes that can be reveiwed by multiple stakeholders. We use Jira as the source of truth for design elements on my team. Jira is a lifeline.
I can create interactive and adaptive prototypes, making easier to show the programming team both the flow of interaction of the apps and the look and feel, expecially when there's a brand guidelines
Sometimes there are too many features and you can get lost trying to understand how to make certain interactions, even though there are courses and tutorials but there's not always the time to do that.
I can make prototypes with my team and share them to collect feedbacks from other funcions or directly from the client, and quickly make changes and improvements
I like the most about Figma that it's unique, progressive, innovative and extremely easy to use. I also love the community and variety of plugins available. In short, it's my favourite design tool and I also absolutely love all new features.
Nothing I dislike in Figma, hovewer some points for improvements that cames to my mind are that last updates on ConFig were really cool and I loved them all while presented, but I think there is a small need in a bridge between designers current flow and how and where to integrate those new updates. I know they mentioned it, but still, it feels like I need to learn a lot new stuff and we all work so I postpone it and I think there should be a way to break that barrier. Also, I would really appreciate if we could have "scale strokes and corner's radius" checkbox in the settings:)
It helps us to visualize our potential ideas, test them, pitch to potential customers. It also help us develop new features in our existing Software Design Platform.
Figma is the golden standard for UI Design, it has all the features needed to build a complex design system, but at the same time it's simple enough for designers to use.
Featurewise they're perfect but their billing system is a bit confusing, you can accidentally add another license if someone is requesting to access your files.
We needed to move from sketch and adobe xd, Figma is much faster and it's easier to build a design system with Figma. It also increases our productivity between designer and developers.
