I love the easy set up to start a gig! They provide videos and tips on how to start your gig and get going, although I don't follow them, they are really informational! Fiverr's big community helps you get started, it's easy to start gettings sales if you're not in a too big of a market or too small of a market. PayPal now has $0 FEES when you withdraw your earnings, which is AMAZING! They introduced this not too long ago! :)
Fiverr's fees. It may not seem like a lot, but Fiverr really wants their cut. They take a lot from the sellers. Not only do they charge the buyer's a processing fee of $2, but they take a cut of the actual gig price! I mean yeah, that's expected but not the high amount. If you sell something for $5, they will take $1. If you sell something for $20, they take $4. It really adds up, trust me. Lack of seller support. Yes, they make want to show a trusting brand, but they really don't back their Sellers. It's the sellers' fault if a buyer makes a false claim, you get punished either way. No way out it.
PROFIT! We gain a majority of our profit from Fiverr. Fiverr helps us stay in business.
Easy way to earn pocket money if you can manage your rating and review.
Too many crappy gigs. Unless your gig is on page 1 to 10 you will be hard to get buyer to buy your gig
Earn pocket money doing simple task
There are various options to choose from, especially when it comes to doing niche work like voice overs. You can review recent orders from the person you're looking to work with.
Some of the work on there does lack professionalism depending on the budget you're looking to spend. A lot of stuff seems that it might have copyright problems, and some work seems not authentic.
Last minute stuff usually involves voice overs for clients, content creation, and copy writing. The best thing about it you're able to choose from a lot of different users and it shows you a time frame the work will be completed in to integrate into your schedule.
Most of the people there are truly great professionals. It is easy to contact them and explain what you need. I have done 7 projects with Fiverr professionals so far and was very happy with 6 of them. (One failed to do anything and the money was refunded.) Everything was done on time, even the 24-hour jobs. The designs are unique and usage and copyright issues are clearly stated.
The prices are a bit misleading - it is always more then $5-10, if you need good quality. Also, occasionally you stumble on people with poor command of English and it is a little frustrating. A lot of professionals have multiple accounts for different types of services, which is messy. Despite Fiverr screening there are still people there offering Facebook likes, Youtube plays, paid blog posts - just avoid them, they are con artists. Screening could be done better. The tipping system is strange - I would rather pay more for work, than tip after.
I have done logo designs, sales copy refinement and proofreading, flier design, email blast design. Everything was done fast, required minimal adjustments. I have put disjointed information into spreadsheets and tables. I have also asked for some information research work, which saved me time searching the web.
You can get any type of graphic or animated video that you want. So you dont need to learn the program or buy the expensive software.
the vision that you have is different than what the graphic designer makes
we dont have to buy the expensive software that goes with creating the design
Super easy to find a relevant designer, the designer was responsive, and I like my logo
I didn't really dislike anything. I think there's a time and place for the use of this service.
I needed a logo for my personal blog, and I found a designer that specializes in this.
There's a number of cheap $5-$25 gigs available, especially related to online marketing.
The quality of the service providers is hit or miss and I've found that even service providers with good reviews can be unreliable at times.
We use it for online marketing related tasks. The main benefit is the ability to try out several methods and vendors, just as a quick and cheap test using the Fiverr platform.
I like how this site allows you to offer your services in your own publication. You don't have to be bidding for jobs all the time with hundreds of other freelancers hoping the client will accept your offer. This makes a nice difference with sites like Freelancer or Upwork, where it's really hard to start making an income. You can promote your Fiverr publications to attract more clients or just wait for them to find your services using the website's search tools. I also like how you are able to offer almost any kind of service you want.
The site will take 20% of the amount of all your sales. This is an extremely high fee since the basic price of all services is only five dollars! However, you can sell your services at higher prices by expanding the limits of your offers. For example, an illustrator can sell black and white illustrations for five dollars and color illustrations for $10. I also don't like the lack of payment processors allowed by FIverr. It would be great if you could withdraw your earnings using processors like Neteller and not only PayPal. The money will also take about two weeks to be credited to your account.
After a long time trying to get started in Freelancer, I was finally able to make some money by offering my services in Fiverr.
What i like the most is the amount of work being handed every day and the possibilities to gather different jobs. I like the fact i can provide a lot of different services in different areas i work with. The packages is a nice feature they added recently which makes income better and more quality work, instead of discussing for prices and budget
I dislike that they are too harsh on their terms of agreement. People cant share their contacts and when you are designing business cards or web designing you need those contacts. Sometimes messages are blocked or not seen by the clients because words like payment or mail adresses are written in the message. I dislike their high fee which is 20% for sellers and 5% for clients.
Im generating a good income. This platform is bringing me a lot of new work every month which can be a big upgrade to my daily life.
There are some upsides to Fiverr if you dig a little to find some. There is still some value to be found but the pricing is no longer at a price where you can test freelancers out or test ideas out.
It's become too expensive and hard to search for a freelancer with value.
It is a quick way to hire a freelancer to do some quick tasks.
I use it as a freelancer to get project of graphics but couldn't do it due to lot of competition on bidding.
You have to create gig and sell it on this platform and that is too much efforts.
As a beginners or fresher it is good to explore and get projects. This is suitable for one who is college students or just pass out from their schools.
It's much more user friendly than competitor freelance websites - the sign-up process was very seamless. There is a lot of support on the website too via their articles and the freelancer forum.
It's very hard to build a client base organically - you either have to put paid spend behind it or have an active professional social media presence to build it up.
Currently, I wouldn't say it's solving any problems as I am yet to gain customers on the platform. However, it's given me a platform to try to make a start in the freelancer world.
Pricing options for services allows for testing quality before investing more.
Sketchy providers that produce less than quality work or those that attempt to scam through their services.
solving business marketing needs
I used it to hire affiliate marketing resources that build my website, my social media accounts, and create content for these channels. Also use advisory services where they review my small business strategy
I have used offshore services in India and the product did not successfully create revenue and I was not able to use it and it became throw away work. I asked for my money back and they refused.
It allows me to find support for my websites and my small business. It allows me to create cost friendly proof of concepts and allows me to learn with the help from others.
Fiverr has an elegant easy-to-use user interface, and has a feedback / review / rating mechanism to help engender trust. There are a lot of people providing a lot of services. Additionally, you can provide services yourself.
The site makes it sound like you can get great stuff for $5 - or sell your own skills for $5. Yet, if you are selling, Fiverr takes $1 so it's $4. And if you are buying, well, $5 only gets you so much. For the best results you need to pay a lot more via a complex series of add-ons. So, the price may vary wildly. It's also difficult to specify what you want via a text-only medium.
Fiverr helps connect creative professionals with people seeking creative skills. There are a lot of capabilities - video introductions, movie making, animations, voiceovers, greetings, character phone calls, spreadsheet creation, etc.
Easy to set up a profile and have the ability to start selling your services.
Hard to gain recognition, as there are far too many people selling the same kind of services as you are.
Fiverr helps us hire freelancers around the world, in various services such as content writing, music production, etc.
Cheap quick work delivered by technical experts worldwide
Not able to share the problem that I have via the tool via a screenshare
Quick easy coding done when I do not have the time
getting payments after completing the order. you are in relief knowing that fiverr will help you to get your payment once submitting your order to the client.
we dont get buyer request related to our skills sometime. buyer offers less amount for big tasks.
i am earning my self through fiverr and fulfulling my basic daily life needs with the money which i am earning.
What I like most about Fiverr is that I basically work for myself; I create my own gigs, set my own pricing and delivery times, and manage my own orders. It's great for freelancing!
What I absolutely despise about Fiverr is having to wait TWO WEEKS for my money; at most, it should only take one week to clear, or maybe even only 5 days!
I don't use Fiverr to solve business problems, but I do love having the platform to sell on and make some extra money.
Clients are easily found on fiverr, taking some of the hassle of marketing oneself as a freelance artist out of the equation. I also enjoyed how the website tracks the time you have left for completing a project with bug numbers that slowly tick down and the customization of the gigs is very flexible and allows for several approaches. There is also a wide variety of projects that can be purchased, almost anything can be done on fiverr.
Fiverr takes quite a big cut out of the payments, twenty-five dollars earned end up being only twenty dollars and a simple five dollar gig is effectively only four dollars. The website's layout can also be confusing, making it somewhat difficult to check up on your own gigs, or just finding the history of accomplished tasks.
I draw characters for those who are interested in having various characters drawn, although I specialize in pin-up and video game character drawing. I've accomplished some related tasks as well, such as caricatures for a birthday party, or even a logo for a gaming stream.
