It is an open-source and free-ware application, so it is easy to use and get the code developed and reviewed easily. The code/data is secured.

GitLab's UI is just so much more chill and easy to get around. You jump in and everything's right where you expect it to be. The CI/CD setup in GitLab – it's straight-up awesome. You don't have to mess around with a bunch of tools; it's all baked in and works like a charm!

The documentation could use a glow-up. It's there, but digging through it to find exactly what you need is a bit of a headache.

It's a great alternative to GitHub. We use GitLab for version control and managing all devs.

gitlab features like branching and merging is a good one. it reduce the complexity of the program and can avoid the conficts between the developers. And we can build pipelines in git and automates. we can go the previous commits so any error occurs we can hava a backup so the code never be stole.

Gitlab runners extenteds the standard git platform with a great platform for CI/CD implementations. It has easy to provision CI runners for you needs and the defenitions of pipelines and integrations are easy and very straight forward making it a must have platform. The built in repository is also great and easy to implement making it great for daily use and even scheduled tasks can be done in the CI.

The UI could be better it seems like it's constantly changing for the worse hopefully the better in the long time but it's not only on Gitlab it seems it's wider problem with others adapting the same layout which I find very confusing at this moment and harder to use.

GitLab provides as the man git platform for version control and much more such as container and package registry, extensive easy to use CI/CD platform and other standard features such as code reviews.

I like the beginner friendly user interface of Gitlab most, specifically the code review section most when i review the code of my junior developers it helps me to write the comments, comparing the old and new changes and it even give some better insightful suggestions i love this part of gitlab its awesome apart from it i like the feature where it segregates the branches and merge them on approval rights which helps in having the codebase in right hands.anyone cannot push or approve the code without proper rights.

i am using it from last 2 years i didn't find anything wrong but sometimes user interface doesn't load properly it happens very rare but i faced this issue so i don't like it when it happens.

i am a developer gitlab helps me to host the code on the remote server and i am able to work and collaborate with the team which helps me to develop and deliver the project within stimulated time. it is helping me to manage the codebase of the project in a very good manner with feature in rich user interface tool.

Simplistic UI. Also allows to create boards and ability to keep merge requests in draft. Also shows the commit graph which is quite useful.

entriprise edition is costlier and sometimes it takes time to reload the changes.its difficult to customise gitlab with the help of configurations and its resource intensive also.

1-> sometimes the code that you have pushed won't be visible to you for few minutes. it means code push does not work in real time. 2-> comparing multiple commmits is little bit complex. 3-> premium features are overpriced. 4-> little bit slow while loading when we press any button at UI.

The responsiveness of Gitlabs community forums tends to be slow, unlike what is obtainable on leading Git alternatives that I have had experience using. Also, upgrading to newer versions of Gitlab tends to be challenging due to large scale customization work that always needs to be done.

I have always been a fan of Gitlab since I became a tech savvy. Therefore, I use it very often since it is user-friendly even for beginner. Here are my favourite features, provide private repo and seanless and fully support version control. And it has seanless customer support and undersatndable documents are also available. Gitlab's implementation is very easy and allows to integrate with other vendor like AWS. Therfore, I use gitlab everyday to control version system of my product.

Can merge code easily from UI & make a pull request easily. Good User Interface.

Search Feature can be improved. It does not give search feature like GitHub.

I have used multiple tools in the past four years, but GitLab was one of the best among all. The thing that makes Gitlab apart from other tools is the great UI. Its navigation bar shows valuable items for quick navigation. The UI for diff of the files is one the easiest to interpret and increases productivity. The charts make it easy to visualize the progress like burnup/burndown charts. The documentation for implementing the CI/CD is fantastic.

It's a little exprensive. Lots of feature does confuse the user.

I would like in the GitLab is it would be easier for everyone in the team to work together smoothly and complete their software application in a good quality. It tells us what to complete pending in the software.

I would dislike in the GitLab is difficulty and complex when I'm using as a new joiner. I would have faced in this some performance issues and bugs in some versions of GiLab.

GitLab will solves the integrity in the software and it makes program's better communication and collaboration to work around in the team. It has the more security and quality maintenance of the application code. GutLab will benefiting the more softwares and tools which gives the better-quality to the application.

Gitlab has more security and DevOps options. The built in runners for build testing before merges is really handy. I also like all the integrations that can be used.

The billing setup was really clunky (as far as seats calculations) that lacked transparency and tools to see what was happening (billing wise). However, lately its getting better.
