It just simply works! Setup was incredibly straight-forward, and the out-of-the-box dashboard template is a wonderful place to start building! Specifically - I am writing this review in response to a customer service experience I recently had. I submitted a question on the site, the response I got was a custom video tutorial direct from Duncan, one of the founders! In my 38 years on the planet, I have never received such complete, and helpful customer support for a question I had. These guys set the bar Really High! I'm excited to see how they grow the platform!
I am still getting my feet wet and we are planing out our greater eco-system that Memberstack will play a fundamental roll in. I haven't encountered any specific issues at this point...
Our company is still in the dreaming phase, but we are on the road to integrating with our business automation software, which will hugely impact our day-to-day operations as well as our client-side project management. All very exciting!
- Seamless integration with Webflow - Incredible customer support - Super user friendly with up to date tutorials (even for someone who does not code, the integration and setup was easy)
With any fresh and innovative company, there are some (very) minor user issues and bugs that still need fixing. Anytime I've brought them up with support, they've been quick to acknowledge and fix any issues.
We were desperate for a personalized client dashboard with a customizable onboarding process. With the easy and seamless integration with Webflow, we were able to build a custom dashboard with a seamless integration into our current website.
The onboarding proccess is incredibly helpful for the integration to Webflow. It's very straight forward, and they even give you pre-created components to help speed up the design process of your member areas.
While it's great for completely gated content, for an agency that works outside of gated content (IE: design deliverables) there's a lot of features I'd be ok trimming for a cheaper, more strealined product.
Memberstack makes it easier for me to create areas of membership management for my users without the manual process of me doing it.
Really friendly team, a good community and always improving the service based on customer feedback.
At this stage, there's very little I dislike. Some functionality missing but I know that'll be coming in the near future.
Login, Membership, and Payments. Making it easier to get my membership site running.
I was able to get Memberstack set up and integrated with my Webflow site (and Zapier) by myself. There are some really good tutorials online. I was able to add a membership model and gate certain pages behind a log in quite easily. Also nice that they handle the auth flow. You also get access to a staging account so you can create demo accounts while you're testing that you don't get charged for.
Memberstack isn't a CRM, so I had to take on some additional work to make Memberstack, Airtable (our CRM), and Webflow all work together, essentially "Rosetta-stoning" three unique IDs per user. Not the end of the world, but a native Airtable integration would be really amazing.
I have a side project where I run a community. Memberstack allowed me to create member profiles and a directory very easily, and allowed me to limit certain functionality based on membership status.
Even though you can use a service like Google Firebase, which is mostly free, Memberstack makes it so easy to implement a log-in functionality on a Webflow interface that we're happy to pay a little bit more to save time and make changes easily.
You can see that Memberstack has its limits because it's still version 1.0. I would really love to have some more integrations we can use in combination with Memberstack instead of having to use Zapier for example. Also, I would love to be able to let members sign up with their Google accounts, etc.
We are hacking together an MVP/beta version of our application using the combination of Webflow and Memberstack. As a startup you have limited funds and time, so you can't waste time trying to figure out how to implement a log-in service like Google Firebase Authentication work in a way that gives you the flexibility you need in an early-stage startup. Given Memeberstack's reasonable pricing and the flexibility and agility it provides us development-wise, it was a no-brainer to use Memberstack to authenticate users.
I love the how simple and easy it is to get started with memberstack.
I wish they had a mobile app or a mobile dashboard.
Memberstack turned my website into a business. It is with memberstack that I can take payment, and create subscriptions.
Memberstack is very easy to setup and integrate with Webflow. The features are adequate for our needs and the roadmap gives us the confidence to have a great experience for our members!
We wish Memberstack had the ability to setup group memberships and social logins. This would really help to make our membership experience top notch for our prospective members.
We needed a platform that could allow us to have reoccuring payments as well as allowing our members to manage their own accounts. With Memberstack, we have less administrative time dedicated to account reconciliations.
I use Memberstack for my community and it's very simple.
Nothing ! it's very cool. May be some bug with the coupons.
No code solution. Easy to use
Memberstack is an essential tool for our community. Integration with Web flow and other services via Zapier work really well. We are so glad that we found memberstack!
Unfortunately, it would help us to be able to set up multiple products. Hopefully this will be available with 2.0
Integrating a membership with a Webflow and other services Works really well. Allows us to manage our community with relative ease.
Easy to integrate with Webflow, easy to set up. It's simple to manage members. Easy to set up and change memberships. There are different memberships possible.
It's not possible to have a membership with a trial period and a possible coupon code at the same time. I am really missing PayPal, most customers here in Europe don't have Stripe. It's nothing I dislike, but for us personally, it would be great if we could integrate the signing up progress with simply book, our booking tool, via Zapier. That would make things a lot easier for our customers.
Making money with our content, or more specifically, special content for our members. Moreover, making all that quite easy, for us and our members. We are no programmers, and that's a cheap way for a start-up to try things out.
Memberstack has been a great tool in my no code toolkit that allows me to easily add user accounts, subscriptions, and other functionality to Webflow builds. I've used it with lots of builds like www.everythingmarketplaces.com and high recommend it.
I can't think of any dislikes or downsides, maybe aside from pricing
Easily adding user accounts, memberships, memberships management, gated access to content, etc.
- It literally takes minutes to set up the account and integrate to a Webflow site. - Every steps are made clear in the dashboard, it's very hard to go wrong about a setting. - Support is top-notch. Duncan replied to us in a few minutes.
- No Integromat triggers. - The lack of coupon API triggers for Zapier or Integromat.
Our agency mainly uses Webflow and Memberstack is the most sensible integration we could choose. No hassle with complex lines of code which let more time to our designers.
How easy it is set up, the fact that it is just putting in a link on Webflow and adding in some custom attributes makes it super simple to use.
The fees sometimes dig into my revenue but I understand that you guys are a business and need to turn revenue so I completely understand, I just think that it might be a bit much sometimes.
Easy sign-ups for users and management.
Memberstack is a well designed product that integrates with a whole host of other services.
Memberstack 2.0 has been coming for way too long. The team has put off development of 1.0 in favor of 2.0 and that's made some features lacking.
We run a membership website at themerrybeggars.com - we are offering free memberships to listen to productions. We've onboarded 45,000 users in a month.
Memberstack is a well-crafted tool that easily allows you to get your membership gating done. The explanations are clear for the setup, but in any case, the team are super responsive to helping out. So you won't be building and not being supported.
Some of the scenarios with regards to gating your content and the logic can be a little finicky to get going, but this is usually because of edge cases. I would like to see more on the data customisation aspects.
I was building a membership access for a job portal that was using webflow and memberstack. The solution was super smooth and worked well to help everyone get access to the content.
Easy to install, easy to configure. The live help getting setup is excellent. You can block off certain content and require a fee for membership to make money
More robust features for members (photos, etc, etc) full profile
We didn't have to create a database, scripts php or anything to get a userbase. We hide special content from non-members.
Software is simple to use, sleek, modern and easy to setup.
Almost everything, this service is extremely premature for a subscription service, no Paypal support or upgrading, accounting nightmare with no tax support. Beyond memberships this platform isn't extendable, it is VERY basic and not battle tested, features break and a lot of things do not work.
A simple membership system.
Memberstack has saved me a huge amount of time - both when building my startup and now whilst scaling it. It's very simple to implement with Webflow and allows me to track sign ups, add free trials and manage user email verification with ease. The team are super friendly too.
Overall, I have no complaints about Memberstack.
It can be very complicated and time-consuming to manually build member management architecture for a startup, especially given the numerous different features that one would have to manually add - Memberstack essentially provides an all-in-one solution (which can be integrated with Webflow) to these problems.
I have been a Memberstack user since the 1.0 release. I am constantly impressed by the team's ability to work with user feedback and build features that make my job as a designer and developer much more effortless. My favorite features are now the Webflow application for more efficient integrations, ease of Stripe integration, and the suite of customization tools for the user login and signup flow.
The team has addressed my main dislike with recent releases, more customization for fonts and CSS with implementations for modals and emails.
Memberstack makes authentification, security, and community more accessible to developers worldwide.
