Microsoft Azure Reviews: 4.3/5 — Solid Choice

As a devops engineer, I regularly need to deploy large scale applications on cloud. With Azure's robust CI/CD pipeline, it has really become easy for me to automate the deployment procedure without much of the manual work and without thinking about security.

For Azure's new services, the customer support struggle to meet expectations for satisfactory responses and aknowledgements, which can be definitely improved with time.

Our organization mainly focuses on data visualisations for its business operations. With Azure's data visualisation tools such as Data Explorer, it has become a go to solution for us.

It has ample services has managed services for databases. Azure CLI is helpful. User-friendly console.

As per my experience, everything works fine for me

As of now nothing i have experienced so i can dislike

Increasing data centers in order to Provide uninterrupted services

all services are good with proper documentation specially cognitive services.

I am recently using azure, I personally haven't seen any big issues or concerns.

It helps me in storage and cognitive services specially OCR, speech to text.

I personally like Azure's Bot service a lot. Being a chat bot engineer, I have tried various cloud service provider services for bot applications like GCP, AWS, etc. And i enjoyed using Azure's bot service the most.

I believe the platform UI can be more interactive and user-friendly. Having tried other platforms, I feel that Azure's interface is behind compared to the other service providers.

I mostly work on bot applications using Azure. Also, I like to use Azure's AI and vision services. It has definitely increased our productivity as a team.

Devop and easy to execute agile. With azure provided tools.

Non open source friendly. Should support open source projects.

The easy configuration helps in order to setup the vm

Nothing as such, most of the time it easy and breeze.

Running a Linux system in windows have been a pain point and azure Vm helped solving that.

What I really dislike about Microsoft Azur is that it doesn't provide free access for students all over the world like Afghanistan

Easily can deploy and use CI/CD methods

This product is best and gives you the experience of fast and better computing. You can access big data at high speed. This product also has hybrid cloud storage.

Amazing experience with this product. I don't dislike it.

Better at storing huge piles of data and this product offers high security and gives the experience of the fastest computing.

Faster performance as it has separate hybrid storage architectures.

A bit expensive and caching could have been better

We are currently working with it for multi tier hybrid storage. We are not currently havjng financial benefits.

Its super-efficient algorithm to optimize file system access in heavy workload system. In our case, it is DB system stored on file system and this help us optimize overall system stablility.

It should support other systems as well like EBS ERP .

We were facing latency in opening application and troubleshooting tool find an issue with Storage. We utilized this system, and performance improved a lot. Pages which used to take 30-40 sec started to open in 5-7 second.

Trial offer is great. APIs are easy to use like every other software these days. Good to use with microservices. integration with github is useful

since the entire ecosystem is Azure. we are establishing a CICD pipeline with Azure Service Fabric

It can be managed from anywhere from the browser itself. No need to setup and manage the infra at our own.

Cost could be one the reason for which people might not be interested to use.

A lot of business and internal applications are using Azure SQL database for storage

Easy to use and great user interface. I was really impressed with the functionality it offers. Playing with data has become easier probably more feasible than the rest.

I think more official tutorials on how to use it for beginners.

I have used Azure SQL database in my Automation project wherein we are storing and updating critical data which requires security and Azure SQL is pretty good at.

Simplified licensing and fully managed by Microsoft. Greatly reduces the total cost of ownership.

Again the addictional cost of licesing is the issue. It would be much cheaper to use opesource DB as service.

We've used it with multiple .net based web applications in the past. Using Azure SQL DB reduced the operating cost. As its managed you just worry about consuming the service.

Easy to access and learn. Having all the cloud features. I have learnt Azure cloud and db recently and started to use if for my workspace. Doing better on that. I was using sql previously. But now i feel much comfortable with Azure.

I loved the Azure db a lot. Started using tecently for my work. Exploring more on that side. At this point I dont see anything negative. Pay as you go can be optimized better maybe!!

I am accessing the Azure db and connecting it to tableau to create dashboards and also working with the database team directly to work on the basic data operations. It is versatile and easy to use .

Azure's consumption plan featuring managed serverless containers for hosting web apps, container instances, function apps are very robust. Takes confusion out of the picture to allow you to focus on building great services. Azure Container Apps make the "craze" of Kubernetes & Docker deployments seem less enthralling because Azure serverless is simple and very effective.

Still building out new features to these services. Some features are in preview at this time but as more and more developers adopt Azure Container Apps, it will continue to become more robust.

There have been some stability / reliability issues. When escalating to Microsoft Support, they were able to find logs that pointed to the issues at hand but those metrics & logs were very difficult to find. More visibility in this area would be great for the admin/SRE/developer when triaging issues.

Scalability of infra as per organization requirement

Reports are not sufficient and need to be improve. The overall pricing also expensive.

Organization costing budgets. They pay for only what they use; they can maintain budgets and ramp up resources as per thay needed.

The best thing about Azure is that I don't have to worry about dealing with the equipment. This is a cloud-based database and it takes away a lot of the stress and worry. The billing structure is pretty simple also.

Learning the new Azure data tools to replace SSIS could takes a while. The platform can be a little confusing with all the different options.

Cost is the biggest problem. The benefit has been not having to worry about maintaining equipment.

I like how people working remotely can have access to it directly

I like the integrated system feature and how it provides integration from Cisco, I hope there will be more other software integration in the near future.

system integration and automation

There are a LOT of interconnectivity features to different Microsoft platforms. The tool is robust and has a lot of customization.

It can be absolutely overwhelming to configure for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Novices without user guides beware.

We needed to test different backup platforms for our semi-cloud based environment. As everything moves into the cloud, leaning on Microsoft for Azure-based solutions seem to the best bet.

Simplicity is the key! Its very easy to start using!

The price is the only downside, if you have big machines, you must have a very large bank account.

If you dont have to spend at start in expensive hardware, just go for a cloud solution

A friendly interface with easy to understand terminology with ease of integrating with other cloud platform

If you are not using this resource still Microsoft will charge for it.

If you have knowledge about the old SQL server then it will be very useful to use this. And within a minute it will run your SQL instances.

Nothing. But if you want to run for small services then the price Azure SQL database will be high for you.

If you have a lot of databases and you want to store that in a database service for fast read and write then Azure SQL Database is the good option for you. I feel the same when I was using this service.

It is easy to use. It helps to reduce the dependency of microservices in multiple VM's. And It has a lot of features which are very useful.

Nothing. But at configuration time you will face difficulties .So they can enhance their setup document in simple words.

It helps us to manage out multiple microservices servers. And we can easily replace multiple Virtual machines with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

It allows me to use Customized Docker container images; I can quickly run them on the Azure App Service Platform, which is excellent. It is very easy and fast to create and deploy on server.

Found nothing so far, very happy with the service.

We are using it to create, test and deploy customized docker images for my web applications. Also, deploying it on the Azure App Service Platform is excellent. Everything is in one place.
