Murf.ai enables me to make voice-overs for my instruction video's and screencasts. The ability to change the pronunciation and emphasis, results in almost perfect voices. Murf.ai is easy to use and the resulting voice-over file takes only a few second to generate and download.

I would like to have more Dutch voices. Now there are only three voices and they are used by a lot of text-to-voice generators. They already sound familiar. The tone of voice feature is only available for English speaking voices. I would like to have the option to choose between vidid, calm, excited, etc. for Dutch voices.

I can't afford to hire professional voices for my screencasts. And the scripts will have a lot of changes. My voice is not good enough. So Murf.ao solves this problem. I can change the script, generate a new voice file and use it in my video.

I love that it has multiple voices, I hope one day we can create our own ai voices using the voice of the CEO from my company, or my own voice so it can be way more helpful for future personal or professional projects.

The spanish voices (which I use the most) could be better, you have a wide range of english voices but the spanish ones sounds just like if you're from Spain or Mexico, when we have a whole continent speaking with different accents. I hope the chilean accent comes soon to the platform!

Sometimes at work we have to bother people with "good reading voices" to help us read scripts so we can have a more "professional" reading for our videos, now we can use professional AI voices whenever we want and don't have to depend on other people.

I wish there were better pronunciation tools in Spanish. For example, there should be a away to make the ai voice pronounce proper names the same way in English as in Spanish.

The ease you can create prompts with typically very little manipulation. Once you find a voice you like you can do things very quickly.

The most negative thing is you can't name your prompts. I manage a Call Center and have hundreds of prompts that are labeled in a specific manner. There is no easy way to go find the already existing prompt to change when needed and I have to change the file name every time. If you could name the prompts I would probably change my rating to at least a 9. There are some words that my "favorite" voices can't say correctly so only reason would not be a 10.

I used to have to manually record all prompts that were in English for our Call Center. I do NOT have a great recording voice and some prompts could be very long. I also would have to coordinate with other "voice talent" when I needed French or Spanish. With the ability to do other languages and accents - it has been great!

There are a lot of voice options and some are very natural. We have reduced a lot of expences for studio recording.

Sometimes it does not understand the sentence structures, such as indirect questions using "when" or "where", etc. Almost all voices read them as conjunctions, not as question words. Also, it would be great if we could choose which word shouild be stressed. Lastly, more than half voices are useless, though there are several good ones.

We had recorded everything at the studio but Murs has reduced the cost pretty much.

I dislike all the file folders it creates Just one folder is enough. I spend a lot of time moving the sound files to a SINGLE working folder before I start using them. The AI voices have trouble pronouncing a lot of common words like your , role or roll, email etc. I have to make up words like yourr, row-ell , ee mail.

The upside is how quickly I can generate and review speech. Fast easy to edit paragraphs. Quickly cut and copy in script then make edits based on timing. Don't know enough about other softwares.

The IPA generic codes from the otter net do not work. They just give error.

You can get voices that sound believably real and save from using a traditional voice over artist and you get the added versatility of making changes on the fly that you would not get hiring a voice over artist. There is also a great selection of royalty free music tracks to integrate with your voice over.

Some of the voices are not very good. It can also be a challenge with pronunciation of certain words to sound realistic, but I expect this will continue to get better. It takes some editing, and work with pitches/speed with only a select number of voices for them to sound convincingly real -but it has been worth the effort for my use cases.

We need some voice overs for a few low budget explainer videos that sound convincingly real. The voices have been good enough when overlaid with music tracks to serve this purpose.

Overall this is a fantastic product. I wish there were more options for children's voices of different ethnicities. I would also like more options for creating emotion and prosody in the voices to help with reading instruction. Finally, when importing scripts I have yet to find a way to import Spanish translations where the accent marks remain.

Saves a lot of resources since we don't have to pay & wait for voiceovers. Also leaves a lot of wiggle room for errors.
