I like how versatile and flexible it is compared to other platforms. Very simple to implement on your website and the documentation is really clear and complete. Testing on this platform is also very easy and is very helpful towards development and testing.
I dislike that it requires someone to have a decent knowledge of web development in order to use the product because then I am unable to recommend it to others freely.
We used this platform as a way to let clients pay for our services. It was very unintrusive and customizable which makes it versatile.
Payment processing is simple and provides good basic analytics for customers payments/revenue.
If you want to upgrade, all additional add-ons are quite expensive.
Payment processing and tracking.
It is built into several platforms we use to process donations seamlessly.
The charges are significant per transaction.
We accept donations on our website and Stripe is built into the donor management platforms.
- Easy to Manage Subscription - Fast & Resecure - Easy to Integration
- they are providing test and live into same panel, some body creating issue
- you just need to create subscription and other thing manage by stripe it self
I love that it integrates into my practice management software. It is handy to have clients' payments linked to their other data in my software. It saves me a lot of time.
I wish the rates would be lower when businesses use it for more extended periods. Other providers are out there, and I want a reward for loyalty. Also, it is petty that companies get charged processing fees when charges are made in error and reversed.
Conveniently, it integrates with my practice management software. All records get stored within the software I use and are available as needed. It makes calculating business expenses easier.
It's stable and fast. It never gets hacked.
Not enough turnkey features. Stripe didn't get the memo about low-code.
SaaS billing. The money flows.
Compared to the last payment processor we used Stipe was a great improvement. I love the fact that I can issue refunds with ease and resend customer receipts.
I would like a way to remove an email or opt-out of email receipts.
We have customers who ask for a full payment history with Stripe it's so much easier to generate this history.
Stripe is able to be linked to different accounting softwares and it's really easy to use
When you're issuing invoices directly from Stripe you will not be able to edit it once it has been sent even though it hasn't been paid by the customer
Invoicing is really simple and you don't need a huge training for your employees
It was really easy to use with all the Apple stuff. Seamless and simple to use.
I did not dislike anything. The only thing that would make it better is if it were free.
It keeps everything in one place and it makes it super easy to look up a transaction.
Stripe was extremely to use to use for CC processing. It allowed for a seamless part of AR process.
Calling up historical data could be difficult because it limited the # of users. It was difficult to have fellow employees work on projects with historical data because of this. Everything was essentially in one silo so to speak.
Faster CC processing/ Subscription Management
Simple UI front and back end - easy to navigate.
Lack of functionality outside of the US - as a Canada based org working with international clients, this is very challenging to also have to use other solutions simultaneously
Easy navigation of processing ACH payments to vendors and spending card issuing and management for our team members.
Really, it does what it is supposed to. It is pretty easy to use, I have it integrated with WPMUdev, and I have also used their own web interface a few times. It's straightforward so far and payouts are also quick.
So far I haven't been able to figure out a way to start a billing cycle from the date the invoice is sent to the customer rather than the day that the customer pays it. This is annoying. But at the same time I haven't researched it too thoroughly, and Stripe may offer it. The integration with WPMUdev definitely doesn't though - and this has led to awkward situations where I either had to write off a few days/weeks of subscription fees of a customer, or to ask for a special one-time payment to settle the difference. Also I am not particularly impressed with percentage that stripe takes, but I suppose it's equivilant with the other services, so I can't really complain about it either.
Requesting and receiving money from my customers, and putting it into my accounts so that I can use it. The integration with WordPress and WPMU is pretty easy too.
It's really fast. You can find what you need pretty much right away and it sends payments pretty much instantly. It also integrates with other apps, so you're notified immediately when someone makes a purchase.
There are a lot of fields to enter and sometimes the wording can be confusing.
We ran a test promotion to give customers money back if they purchased a deal with us. They purchased the deal through Stripe. It was very easy to manage purchases and it integrated with Slack, which was very helpful for my team so that they knew when to contact customers telling them that their deal had been purchased.
Here at Huel, we loved Stripe! It integrates with Shopify perfectly, which is the platform that we use to sell our product. Stripe works fast, and is really easy for our business. Stripe has a flat fee so it's super easy to budget with. It's great for any bigger e-commerce brand!
Stripe doesn't have phone support, which can be bit annoying. That's a main reason why we have decided to switch to Square Up--Stripe has an occasional freezing problem with no phone! Square Up has a phone number.
We used it for our payments and subscription program so we aren't tapping into Stripe's full potential. For these simple tasks, it's very beneficial. We are a global brand so it's great for the multiple currencies it handles. We have switched to a new payment processor so we are gonna miss Stripe but Square Up has phone support so we are ready for more immediate action.
The set/onboarding was consistent with Stripe's overall consistently excellent ease-of-use. Help text was available during all the steps, and the process was painless. Once set up, the product is similarly easy to use.
Customer support was not available, and not very helpful when it was. The time between submitting a ticket and hearing back was unacceptably long considering the type of service Strip is offering - financial processing - which demands more hand-holding than other SaaS vendors. Further, the wait time for payments to finish processing is longer than it should be.
My business is trying to streamline and simplify our payment flow. We haven't realized any benefits yet because of the long processing time and the lack of reliable support when problems do crop up. We'll see how it shakes out in the longer term.
Super easy to set up, tons of integrations. Intuitive interface that every accountant can get acquainted in minutes. From manual invoice generation to integration with advanced billing everything works fine.
Way more expensive than the competition. Just a small amount of effort can cut your costs by 2x. I guess you got to pay for the convenience, but for the low margin business stripe is an unwise decision.
We charge our customers through stripe, creating invoices, and managing subscriptions. It's a go to solution for an every startup so we didn't even consider anything else at first.
I like that I can accept payments in virtually any currency. This boosts my sales as it creates less of a hassle and no extra charges for my paying customers.
I dislike that I can't receive payments into an online checking account because you must use a bank with a physical address.
It makes getting paid easy and hassle-free. I don't even have to think about it because I don't have to worry about waiting to receive checks in the mail.
It was free and painless to setup. It was also incredibly easy to integrate into a WordPress site with Woocommerce.
It’s a minor gripe, but the merchant service fees per transaction could be less. I’m a non-profit and would love a bit of a break on the fees.
Accepting payments online through Woocomerce site.
they don't cap our income and they have online solutions
they are unable to multi-payment on a single invoice as Square does
The live chat isn't helping and the sales rep assigned to our business does not seem to know the answers
It is an easy payment process for the client, we have to give them that.
The fact that a refunded payment you still lose the fees. Also, do not connect Xero to stripe it doesn't make reconciliation any easier and simply provides your clients with a method of not paying you the full sum of their invoice due to stripe taking a cut. It is also not presented to the client that the full amount will not be sent to the supplier.
We were trying to solve the problem of automated payments process.
